So in a few hours, the temp dropped 20 degrees, and it got really windy with rain. I'm ready to go home now.

I've had it. an 86 hours shift, an 8 hour break and coming back for a 14 hours shift had wiped me out. I sure hope the vet we hired works out. I can't do this again next year.

Got another set of lights for my bike this week. Back to commuting in to work. It's pitch black by the time I get here, but I think I've got enough lights now to be mistaken for landing lights at the airport.

We're supposed to have a front move in tonight. I'm really hoping for snow. It's really relaxing to bike in the snow.

@petethegamer_mfp - Night shift at the university. If it's anything like when I was in college, you get to solve all the problems they decided they didn't want to tackle during the day. Not an easy job.

Drizzling rain on the way to work tonight. It should have been snow. The weathermen keep predicting snow, but I think they are just teasing me.

Jenn - I completely understand that. The sitting and waiting can be more exhausting the actually working.

I have an idea. Let's crash @canadjineh 's vacation and hang out with her in Cabo.

Yes, I work alone so as well as security I do all the clean up, room set ups, admin and odd jobs they think we have time for - but don't :-)

Buenos dias, compadres! Hot, hot, hot, although the locals are wearing jeans..... It's 29C and very windy here on Isla Mujeres. But of course it is way cooler than the 45C they had in August (a bit out of the ordinary for them anyhow.) You are welcome to join us lol but the little studio we are in probably would be a bit crowded. Just a couple blocks from Playa Norte, voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world. All the day trippers means you have to time it right though. Welcome to @petethegamer_mfp I tend to come across all the college and uni IT guys and building maintenance people in my job.

@Pete - LOL. That's so true. "and the jobs they think we have time for - but don't"

@canadjineh - We finally got snow! You can have the heat. I'll take the snow every time.

Just got a new light sash for riding. One of my techs saw me coming in tonight and said I look like a Christmas tree on wheels.

Lol, sufferlandrian better a live Christmas tree than a dead 'stealth-rider.' :o

No proper snow at our place yet (up in the mountains everyone is open for skiing though) - that's why we get away now... by the time we are back it should be lovely snow season in the valley too. We hate transition 'mud month.'

We've had a few flurries here, but that's it. Since my work vehicle doesn't have 4-wheel drive (seriously, what the heck??), I'm not particularly looking forward to bad weather and road conditions.

Yikes, Jenn! No 4WD/AWD????? Are you expected to push yourself out of bad road conditions? It's not exactly like you can just choose to not go on the roads that night. I am driving a new Ford Escape and it seems to be pretty good, but this will be its first major winter.... The little bit of pre-snow hasn't been enough to test it, really.

I'm still driving my Surley Karate Monkey. 22 gears, studded tires and enough lights to look like a Christmas tree.

0 degrees on my way home this morning. Had to keep wiggling my fingers to keep the tips from freezing. Brought my Bar Mitts this time. Riding in the cold is better than riding in the heat. At least I can keep adding layers so you're warm. In the summer, you can only take off so many clothes before they arrest you.
