OP. This is not going to be popular.

I have learned .. "A woman does what she wants to do for herself .. not something to impress a guy" Tattoos fall into this category.

I agree with you fishnbrah. Tats, even when they are done well are WAY over-rated. I just picture them on an 80 year old person and shiver....

Do most 80 year olds have beautiful skin? We're all gonna be fat and saggy some day, so I may as well be fat, saggy, and colorful. :D

She looks miserable and filled with regret:

    oldtat5.jpg

she looks disgusting. but im not trying to be mean here. just hearing various opinions is fun to me.

You're not trying to be mean, but you just called a stranger disgusting.

Logic wasn't your strong subject, was it?

youre totally right, that was a dikk comment. i just had to say it. why does it matter if she was a stranger? she probably is really cool and nice and just like my grandma. it still doesnt look good to me. i dont have to like them.

If you knew her personally, you might have an actual reason to call her names - like maybe she kicks dogs for sport -- you could call her disgusting then. But you don't know her and you called her that because of how she looks. That matters. It goes to that issue you have with judging people based on their looks.

dude, i dont need to know her to know i dont like the looks of her tattoos. im not judging anyone, read the OP. says im turned off by tattoos, thats all. so its okay to judge someone on their personality or views on subjects but i cant take their decision to get unappealing (to me) writing on themselves?

My comment was about calling people names without knowing them: ie disgusting. Not your OP.

how would me knowing her change anything?

judging by these responses it appears i actually am the only one. its pretty much impossible to find a girl without a tattoo it seems like.

I thought you couldn't find a girl because you want someone to stay home, cook and clean?

It's ok for one not to like tattoos. I don't like dudes with a lot of muscles. It's just a preference.

Well, in all fairness, it would take up less time if you posted these threads with some thought. You know, like why can't I find a girl that 'List of Demands' or 'List of Disqualifiers'? Then you know, you could get real quality answers from like minded folk to assist you with your self inflicted (and really not much of) conundrum.

Oh no I am good at cooking, just not for sexist men, I wouldn't be able to sustain from spicing the dish up with something not so great.

I chalk it up to being one of those personal things. I am ink free. I don't judge people who have them, but I do find myself wondering sometimes, "What the hell possessed you to get THAT, THERE?" But at the end of the day, it's their body, to with whatever they choose.

It's not that simple, I do that as well as work part time (by choice) and have for over 14 years. Rather it was the sensitive commentary along the lines of 'All women want you to tell them what they want to hear (paraphrasing), etc. Oh, and the fact that you now, she should stay home when he goes to hang out with friends, and so on. It wasn't a matter of preference as much as presentation.

Preferences are dandy, generalizations, not so much.

As a casual observer of this thread, I must say there are quite a few judgmental, "non-judgmental" PC-police in here.

We can't ALL be attracted to the same things. If the OP doesn't like tats...so be it. Maybe he just hasn't met THAT girl yet, who just happens to have a tattoo, who will rock his world and completely change his view. It happens. It happened to me. I wasn't "into" tattoos....then I met my hairy (another thing I thought I didn't like), tattooed, military guy (oh yeah, I vowed NEVER to marry some guy who would be away from home on "business" all the time....8 deployments and a 20-year Navy career later....ooops).

Now, I have one tiny, meaningful tattoo on my ankle. Hubby still has his original 9, but we're about to go get him re-inked for color and in celebration of his retirement. He wants a full sleeve(s). I'm all for it....but I would still KILL him if he got something on his neck, face, head, etc. The professional circle I run in would not accept that....it's life. It's not fair...and in Utopia, maybe it wouldn't happen, but we live in a real world where other people DO judge you on your appearance. Personally, I think it's fine because, again, we can't all be the same....and who would want to.

Prosecuting the OP or others because they have personal preferences that cause them to think other are unattractive is silly. It's biological. Yes, it is TOTALLY influenced by our backgrounds, upbringings, etc. Is it PC? Absolutely not. Is it ok? As long as his opinion is not translating into direct harm, I think it is. To each, their own. There is someone for everyone.....

I have no tattoos and I plan to keep it that way.
Personally, there's nothing worse than an attractive girl with a dress on and tattoos sticking out if it, but that's just me. It's more original not to have any tattoos then it is to have a tattoo at this point.
Tattoos can be attractive sometimes, I just fine they have to be on the right kind of body and you have to have the personality to match in order to pull them off.

I just love how you get bent because you think someone is against women who stay home, cook and clean and then get self righteous about someone different.

Having tattoos means you have tattoos, That all it means. Not having them doesn't make you anything other then someone who doesn't have them.
