    2/5 – Rest Day (circuit training)
    2/6 – 4.19 miles (easy run)
    2/7 – Rest Day (circuit training)
    2/8 – 5 miles (easy run)
    2/9 – 7.11 miles (bridge run plus circuit training)
    2/10 – 4.91 miles (plus circuit training)
    2/10 PM – 2.88 miles (with husband)
    2/11 – 4.07 miles (steady run)
    2/12 – Rest Day (circuit training)
    2/13 – 6 miles
    2/14 – 9.52 miles (long run so I can enjoy my Valentine’s dinner out! :heart:)

    So I bought new running shoes mid January and hoped that they would last a while considering the cost. Also gave my old shoes to the shoe recycling people. Came home from work last Wednesday and my 5 yr old dog had decided to eat one shoe. I was not a happy camper to say the least. Did my run thing on Thursday morning - one shoe was not laced properly but got it done. Took shoes to shoemaker to see if repairable. Yes but 2 weeks till completion. Phoned running store - my size is not in stock but would be on Friday. Yeah!! got to store on Friday and they sent the wrong size and color. My proper order will not be in till 21st. Bought other cheaper shoes as back-up. Took them home and they are horrible - make my hips and IT band scream. No run for me on Friday. Saturday took shoes back. Went all over town and finally bought new shoes - What an ordeal! No run for me on Saturday. New shoes are great. I can finally say I got my miles in this morning.

    Lessons learned. 1. Always have back-up shoes. 2. Never trust old dog even when you think that they know better. 3. that old excuse about the dog eating your homework may come back to haunt you.

    I've been fighting a cold, and haven't done a lot this week. Need to get back at it, and quit using the cold as an excuse.
