I just finished the entire thread. What a funny and inspiring post. We aren't used to seeing success stories with cookies.

What an awesome way to live. Crumb Shot attached as a cookie hug

I think the world could benefit from more people who say "look, I met whatever my individual goal was and was never unhappy or felt deprived while doing it." and less people who insist that you must eat XYZ or else your heart will explode.

That said MFP is full of people who inspired me to take a less...restrictive approach and I want to take a moment to thank for them all. I can only hope at this point they know who they are (If not then I've fallen off my stalker game).

I guess I don't "love" food, any food, enough to get behind the OP (and a ton of other people on this board's) reasoning.

But all that matters is finding the right road for you. And on that I applaud the OP and all other fellow slow-cuz-I-love-cookies types who are fine with their progress!

    Important distinction.

Are you suggesting that she could have lost weight faster and therefore would have been more successful in your opinion?

I'm pretty sure the poster you quoted applauded the OP for finding the right road. It's in the quote, actually. Enjoy a cookie, no need for mad.

And also it is important to note that although the "weight loss" progress in terms of the scale # was slow, Achyra has been successful in working on body recomposition during this time as well.

This makes her even more of a role model because there are so many posts on MFP alone with people nearing or getting to their "goal weight' that remain unhappy with the results. I feel certain that Achyra will be one person NOT making such posts by the time she hits her goal weight/body fat %.

You can't disagree with someone and still support them? Give it a try. It's way easier than rubbing your belly and chewing bubblegum at the same time.

You can disagree and support (not that I desire that person's support, but I suppose that's not the point) but that's distinctly different from what everyone aside from you can see as a backhanded compliment.

    Any further questions?

I support you in your choice to consider it a backhanded compliment, but I respectfully disagree with your opinion. Was that a question?

Thanks for the reminder. I need to get another box next time I'm at the store. I budgeted one or two a day last week. The dark chocolate dipped kind. Had to settle for chocolate almond cookies tonight.
