Larro, I am SO jealous! We don't get grouper in my neck of the woods! :)

My cousin goes out in the Gulf a couple of times a week. Right now they are using scuba tanks and killing fish with spear guns.

No picture tonight, but it was chipped up Boston Butt with Sweet Baby Ray's on a roll, Jalapeno poppers, Armenian cucumber and watermelon. That was the first of the late melons. Not very big, but it's September, and I'm eating melon. I also picked about a dozen ears of corn, but forgot to cook any of it.

I took my usual spinach fruit salad for a left turn. It was spinach, {three kinds of} grapes, strawberries, blueberries, Mandarin orange, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, carrots, Armenian cucumbers, onion, mini sweet peppers and Feta cheese with fat free raspberry vinaigrette dressing.

Then had chopped Boston Butt with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce on a toasted roll, Armenian cucumber, another salad {spinach, Armenian cucumber, onion, mini sweet peppers, sunflower seeds and Feta with Toasted Sesame Seed dressing}, and some of my late corn out of the garden. Not too bad.

This is my I'm sick (awful summer cold) and want soup dinner. Chicken noodle veggie, turkey (roasted turkey and a turkey hot dog) soup; some mini broccoli and brown rice quiches; and a couple clementines.

We all went to the Chinese Buffet to celebrate Sister's 60th birthday. I used the veggie first strategy, {it helped, but didn't completely keep me from eating myself into a belly ache}, then had a seafood plate. Three kinds of shrimp, frog legs and a muscle. Later I also had a small piece of salmon with my 2nd veggie plate. {it wasn't out when I was doing my seafood plate} Everything was too good.

Supper tonight was Buffalo chicken breast, mixed veggies, Armenian cucumber, green beans with almond slivers and cream corn. It was all good, but the corn was divine.

Margie tried a new recipe tonight. It is chicken breast, spinach and Angel hair pasta {with a little butter, garlic, onion, lemon juice and red pepper flakes}. We have had it with shrimp before and really liked it, so we wanted to try it with chicken. It turned out real good.

I know I'm not the only one who likes food porn, so I'll share some of mine if you will share some of yours. I made a salad out of a bag, adding pork tenderloin, tomato, onion and green beans. I did forget to add the olives, but it was still good.

We went up the road to my cousin's place for Sister's 3rd birthday supper this week. {she is a party hog} Had a very nice spinach salad, then meatloaf, okra, cheesy broccoli casserole and potatoes with onions and hamburger meat. {I didn't find the deviled eggs until my 2nd plate} There was Neiman Marcus cake for dessert. It was all pretty good, but I liked the salad the most.

Zuchinni grilled in a bit of butter with garlic, and poached eggs. Lots of pepper :q

And I was feeling lazy, so the rest of my protien and veggies for the day went into a smoothie.

It all looked hella ugly by the time it was on a plate/blended, so no pictures :(

I made SKINNYTASTE Stuffed Pepper Soup but instead I subbed ground turkey for beef and added oregano, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, and dried basil to the pot. I also topped it with Veggie Shreds "mozzarella cheese".

    It was delicious, highly recommend!

    Mmmmmmm!

I stirred up some Chipolte Chicken Stir-fry for supper. Only 53 calories/100g. But I ate a slice of apple pie in a big bowl of ice cream, just to offset any good it did.

Larro what type of zoodle maker do you use to make your zucchini noodles? I spent quite a bit of time on Amazon today looking at the gazillion choices! I'm considering one called the iPerfect Kitchen Envy Spiral Slicer Bundle.

Everything in tonight's supper was at least in part from the garden. It was unstuffed peppers, peas, turnip greens and creamed corn. Plus Jalapeno poppers. Very good.

Supper was mostly leftovers, but still very good. It was a ham and cheddar sandwich, acorn squash {with butter and brown sugar}, Chipotle chicken stir-fry, Armenian cucumber, squash and a couple of poppers.

    9itwjaz1pikl.jpg

I had a request for Margie's Jalapeno popper recipe, so I'll post it here too.

    Bacon Topped Jalapenos

    Ingredients
    20 large jalapenos
    1 cube Cream Cheese, Softened
    1 cup Mexican Shredded Cheese
1 pound Thin Bacon, Sliced Into Quarters
    Bar-B-Que Sauce
    Preparation Instructions
Wear plastic gloves to prep your peppers... Cut jalapenos in half length-wise. Remove the seeds and white membrane (a teaspoon works great for this). Mix cream cheese and shredded cheese. Spoon cheese mixture into each jalapeno half. Top jalapeno with bacon pieces (1/4 slice). Top with a small amount of Bar-B-Que sauce. Use any extra pieces of bacon on larger peppers.
Bake on a pan with a rack in a 350-degree oven for 20-25 minutes. If, after 20 minutes, the bacon doesn’t look brown enough, turn on the broiler for a couple of minutes to finish it off.
Serve immediately, Can be frozen and reheated in microwave.

If you prefer crispy bacon cook bacon until nearly done and then top peppers with bacon.
