Honor and obey. Did we all forget our marriage vows? If my hubby says no to something I'm wearing because it bothers him, I'll go change into something less sexy. If you love your SO, you shouldn't be flaunting to other guys, plain and simple.

Not all vows use the word "obey".

Would you expect your husband to change his clothes if you expressed a negative opinion of them?

how much skin you show is up to you. dont not wear something that makes you feel awesome and that looks good on you just because of someone else supposed feelings (who knows what shes thinking)

that said, i do think as one gets older hemlines should come down just a tad. i'm not talking going from daisy dukes to to-the-knee shorts, but... idk.. maybe i'm showing my southern baptist roots here but i think a lady should look like a lady. (and no that doesnt mean no pants i live in jeans) but modest and covered up a bit. i think boobs and behinds should be for the husband to ogle, not the whole world.

but i really truly dont care what other people wear. if it makes you feel good, then wear it.

(i am glad my hubby has the good sense not to make it known he sees boobs all day though)

Ok so does that model's tattoo say "legit"?

    lol

It looks like it starts to go further, but stops...like maybe she was going to have "legitimate", got just a little past the "t", and decided, "okay, that's enough...let's just stop there."

At least that's my theory for it.

I rarely see anyone dressed like that unless I am at the beach.

You might want to pay more attention. I would say maybe it's more about where I live, except I see it when I travel and I see it at places like Disneyworld that are full of people from lliterally all over the world. Cutoffs and a T-shirt are a normal outfit for a woman just hanging out for the day and that has been the case pretty much my entire life. I dressed like that in high school and so did most everyone I knew (I graduated 19 years ago).

Look at old photos from the '50s and '60s and you'll see even then some vaiation of that kind of outfit.

Unless, of course, you live around extremely and unusually conservative people and never go outside of that group ...

How are you going to tell me what I see.   : Seriously, I do not see women wearing cutoffs so short the pockets show. Jean shorts and tee-shirts sure, all the time. That's not what the model has on. That type of outfit is just not commonplace here. (Northern VA) Now, at the beach sure, I see it all the time. Disneyworld, not so much. I have been too many times to count, but don't recall noticing anyone with booty shorts on at the magic kingdom. I could be wrong and too kid focused to notice. I googled "Disneyworld crowd pictures" and not one has on an outfit similar to the one pictured. They are dressed in mom shorts and tee shirts.
Um ... I wasn't talking about any model. For one thing, this discussion is about the OP's outfit, which is not "booty shorts" and no pockets are showing. For another, I'm not telling you what you see. I'm telling you to open your eyes and pay more attention.

It may not be commonplace where you live, but it sure is elsewhere.

ETA: I also googled "Disneyworld crowd shots." Most of the photos are too far away ro too close up and too full of people to tell what anyone is wearing. However, I did find a couple photos showing multiple women in short shorts and T-shirts. I would post them here, but for some reason Photobucket isn't working for me and I don't know any other way to post them.

the model referenced in the photo my comment was referring too, not the OP. you commented on a dialoge between the lady with the red lipstick and I talking about a picture of a model in short shorts and a crop top with a "legit" tatoo.

here are a few crowd shots.

**** that. You have it flaunt it. That's why I filmed three porn scenes.

You do it, make yourself happy and move the eff on. Anyone who doesn't like it can ride a rail.

Mine would. He lets me dress him. It's better for everyone this way. When I him in 2002 he was still wearing the clothing picked out by the last girlfriend who dressed him... in 1990. It was bad.

Maybe it was to put an end to all of the rumors about her parentage? "No, really, it says so right here... See?!"

    See Missleeloo?

    Pay attention.

These are the peeps telling you to flaunt it.

    Nice, huh?

I mean, if you were to take this advice you'd have to tell your husband to ride a rail because you intend to make yourself happy and you'll be moving the eff on. By swaying down the street wearing shorts that stop just beneath your crack.

Do you have any more questions?

Are you serious, or normally just dense?

Just because someone tells you to ninja up and hands you a burqua doesn't mean you have to do it. You can choose to dress how you want. If you earn something, you have the right to be proud of it, and to demonstrate what you have should you choose to.

Little ol bitties and blue hairs need not apply, nor need they vent their puritanical views, as those views are their own failings, and not the handicaps of others.

    :)

tl;dr - don't be a prudence mcprude, it's lame, boring, and Massachussetts has been doing it for 400 years, it's moldy.

Are you saying those shorts stop just below her crack? Because...that's an extreme exaggeration at best.

And one guy proclaiming to have been in porn (NTTAWWT) means that everyone telling her to flaunt it should be dismissed? Makes sense.

I didn't read the entire thread because it was too long and I didn't feel like it. If I repeat anyone else I agree with them. I see this as more of a marriage issue from the OP. Personally, I'd compromise. I'd dress somewhere in between where you think you look good and he thinks you're flaunting and do the give-take thing. Personally, the only time I dress sexy is on a date with my DH. The rest of the time I tend to dress more modestly but not dowdy. (aka fitted not tight).

RIGHT?! And it couldn't possibly be that people (like me) who don't happen to like porn personally could nevertheless share this opinion... Oh, wait. Dammit.

You're entitled to give up your autonomy if you choose to, but that doesn't mean that others who choose not to are wrong. Some of us believe that our personal appearance is not a cheer-ocracy.

    Ha ha.

Even if it was yesterday, you can barely see most of the people and in the second photo there's a girl wearing short shorts and a T-shirt.

There are more photos where you CAN see what people are wearing (more close-up, full-body, not-so-crowded shots) and more than one woman is wearing something like that.

Anyway, we go to Disney pretty much every year and usually in the summer when the SO's daughter is visiting. So I see these people in person, not in far-away crowd shots.

    Honest to....

I am confused by the term "flaunt" being used with the clothes OP has on. They are shorts and a shirt. A shirt that is a bit too large and kind baggy. These clothes aren't what you wear to "flaunt". They are what you wear on a hot day. I seriously thought the OP had to be rocking some booty shorts and a bra-style top or something. I am glad you spoke to your husband, OP. Sounds like you had a good chat about it.

    Everything else in this thread...

    Would wear.

Pretty sure if I had her body, I'd wear this every day...and I'm 27!

As far as the 'obeying' your husband argument goes....

    wtf.
