My NSV is actually sorta scale-related, but it’s my food scale, not my bathroom scale.
Turns out that I’ve used it so much that I wore out the battery! And I took it quite hard last night when I went to prepare my dinner plate and the scale just kept telling me Low Battery.

We launched our boat for the season on Sunday, and I had to tighten the strap on my life vest several inches since last fall.
Today I ran 41 minutes, non stop. A month ago I was at 20 min and did not think I would make it, or WANT to make it, to 40 minutes. 40 was the goal I set after finishing C25K sooner than expected 2 weeks ago. Three months ago I could not run 1 minute and honestly did not think my 61 year old body would ever let me make it past 10 minutes. 2 years ago I could not WALK 1/4 mile without excruciating pain.27 -

I'm similar... at the beginning of this year, I couldn't walk 10 minutes without horrible back pain. These days I'm able to go on 5-mile hikes and I can also run for 20 minutes without stopping (I'm on week 6 of c25k).5 -
All of the one-size-fits all that you get from stores as an ectra gift on mother's day. My kids always asked if I liked them. I always said yes and put them away. I am now working my way through years of t-shirts,robes,and night shirts I can finally wear.12

NSV #1: As of this morning I have made it to an "overweight" BMI of 29.9. I started out on Sep 1/15 with a BMI of 41.6 and Obese Class III.
NSV #2: Saw my brother on Saturday for the first time in a few months and his jaw just about dropped. He said I have never looked this good, except for maybe as a teen. I have to say, that felt pretty awesome
NSV #3: I love shopping for clothes now. Started out in 24W and now into petite 14 pants!24 -
My collar bones are almost back and I am seeing some definition in my calfs from all the hills I climb.
and today when I was picking up my 20 year old at college, his buddy said "Jay I think your girlfriend is out there" Bahahaha...He may have not liked it and thought it was funny, but I was laughing so hard I had tears running down my face. I almost had to open the sunroof my head was so swelled for a minute. Hey, I don't know what the kid was smoking but i'll take it.23 -
Went shopping for jeans and comfortably fit the waist of a 32...was a very stretched 40 when I began in December.15

went for an almost 5 hour hike today in capris I definitely couldn't wear last summer. feeling good all around!8

Getting way more selective about what I wear these days. Used to be enough for a shirt to just "fit", now I'm looking at how well it fits, what the sleeves look like, are the shoulders right, and so on. Great to have more options and be picky!25

Completely blew my calories yesterday - stressful day - emotional eating.
Six months ago I would have been beating myself up this morning. Not anymore... I am back up on the horse today! No nonsense.32 -

This resonates with me - including the age. . . . and in the last fortnight I've run a 3.5 and 3.8 miles in those 40 minutes. YaY for being a fit and healthy grandma.

PS. My C25K running buddies are the same age as my kids . . . . I don't think I'll be able to keep pace with them for much longer, but I keep trying!!

I wore pants to work today that were way too tight a year and a half ago for my interview.12

I've now made a few, careful purchases of clothes that fit and look great - and I know that, whilst I'm still losing weight, my wardrobe can continue to match my size and my new-found sense of style. BTW, I've discovered that, whilst Ebay is always a risk when you can't try on the purchases, I've bought half a dozen items in the past month there that are literally 90% less than the original prices of the clothes, some still with their original tags on! My biggest NSV is buying a JOSEPH super-fine knit cashmere jumper (at 95% off the original price - never worn!), size Medium (and UK people will know what a 'Joseph medium' means - dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3145831/Our-clothes-aren-t-people-like-eat-woman-23-says-told-asked-size-TEN-designer-jeans-one-London-s-exclusive-shopping-streets.html!!) - intending to perhaps put it away for later in the year, as it wouldn't fit me - and it fits perfectly. I'm wearing it right now!!11 -

I'm cleaning out my closet! This is huge for me because I often feel like I'm one binge away from gaining all 65 pounds back and I would need these clothes. So this is a step forward for me. I know what I need to do to keep the weight off and more importantly I'm starting to believe it!15

I never used to understand people who would say 'I had a big breakfast' or 'I had a big lunch' and not eat/drink/whatever. After all, who the hell skips a meal and a chance to eat food!?! Today I went out to lunch unexpectedly, and ate more than I'd planned for the meal...coming out to about 90% of my calories for the rest of the day! Was really worried that I'd ruined my calories for the day. Came home and took a nap, woke up, watched a movie, and really pleased to say that I'm not hungry yet! So nice to know that my allotted calories are enough for me. In the past I'd have eaten dinner no matter WHAT -- happy to say I'll have a light fruit snack before sleeping and that'll be that22

I'm cleaning out my closet! This is huge for me because I often feel like I'm one binge away from gaining all 65 pounds back and I would need these clothes. So this is a step forward for me. I know what I need to do to keep the weight off and more importantly I'm starting to believe it!
That's awesome - the bigger clothes are definitely a 'safety net', and we need to learn to live without that.7 -

I've been doing the same thing, seems like every Saturday I'm dropping off a bag of clothes to goodwill. Feels good to work through all of the stuff in my closet that was previously too small.8 -
The last three pairs of pants and three skirts that I pulled out of the closet had to be taken in before I could wear them. I've set up my sewing machine with black thread so I can throw darts into my clothes quickly!11

Saw my GP the other day for a checkup, he confirmed that I can remain off meds for high blood pressure, cholesterol, and irregular heartbeat -- all the ailments I had when I was heavy. As I've lost weight and gotten more fit he's been weaning me off them, and now they're gone, I hope for good!27

Bought and fit into my first pair of size 36 jeans a few days ago...first time I've been in 36's since high school 16 years ago.8

TMI maybe, but i was able to buy a smaller size underpants. YAY!! I also was able to hike yesterday for an hour and my knee pain was not nearly to the degree it has been in previous days. This is major progress for me.12

NSV # 1 My former boss who left to Korea about half a year ago visited here this week. He saw me and just exclaimed: "You lost weight!!" It's only been a few kilos so I was very happy to know it shows anyway
NSV # 2 I ran for 15 minutes yesterday. Was dying for it to be over but I DID IT.
I am still amazed every time I think about the fact that I am running. Me. ha! running. It's so weird.18 -
Loving this thread, someone I haven't seen for a while suddenly exclaimed "Wow you've lost weight from your face!" I know I had lost inches from my body but didn't even think about my face. Think I may have just one chin now.
For the first time in over a decade I went to the gym to run and I did it for 30 minutes AND enjoyed it! I've been such a idiot about running for so long, I convinced myself I couldn't do it.
I'm having to wear clothes that were my 'hopefully one day' because my old stuff no longer fits.
Final one, my fiancee is now joining me on this journey and has lost 14lbs14 -
Don't know why, happy though, that my appetite has shifted downward by a lot!8

My work group is joining the summer slowpitch softball league again. We had our first practice last night.
Last summer I could hit the ball half the time, but only got it over the second base (and directly in the short-stop's glove) a couple times. Last night, after a few swings, I hit it midfield. Then I did it again... and again... it was crazy!
Clearly strength training makes everything easier! Now I have the goal to hit a home run by the end of the season. Not necessarily during a game, just get it over the fence once18 -
I can wear my goal shorts! I bought these ASIC running shorts forever ago. They still have the tags on them. They are still a little snug, but they fit!11
