Had to take a few days off because of phone issues and just wanting to take a few days off from logging. Weight went up a little but I'm now back to the same weight as a week ago. And yesterday I bought a new swimsuit and it's a bikini! Can't wait to try it out!19

Had some time this morning so did my measurements. When I was putting them into mfp I realized that it is exactly a year since I started doing measurements.
So in a year I have:
Lost 10 inches from my waist
Lost 10 inches from my hips
Lost 5 inches from my chest
Lost 3 inches from my calf51 -
A victory of sorts.......
Lost my way the last month...got sick, comfortable, or whatever you call it. The Victory is that I started again and stopped before I went too far!39 -
My son's teacher said I looked like I'd lost some weight today when I went to his Valentines day party!20

Was trying on some tops in a store today. I am currently a Medium down from a 3X. So this one top was an M and it was too big. I kind of giggled as I went to retrieve a Small from the shelf and take it into the dressing room. I put it on and it fit...and all I could think was--if I'm wearing an S, what are the small people wearing??? It was an anomaly, but it was a hoot too.38

Let me preface this by saying that my nsv has to do with my weight, but not so much the scale.
Tonight I was doing my laps at Walmart, and one of the employees stopped me asked me, if I had lost a lot of weight. I grinned at her, told her I had. She then tells me she was almost afraid to ask me if I did because she didn't want to hurt my feelings. I told her she didn't hurt them, told her how much I had lost and was like "Please mention it, please." If anything, it made me feel good. Pretty much one of the few times since I started that someone's noticed and bothered to say anything about it to me that wasn't family. She doesn't know it, but she totally made my night.35 -
I ran. IN THE MORNING!!! I am so not a morning person. I can walk but my eyes are usually half closed but I ran for 35 minutes. I wanted to run more but I was running short on water. Its hot and humid here29

started doing speed training in swimming yesterday.
250metres - 4mins36
today - fastest 4mins13
not a bad decrease in a day!
clearly haven't been pushing myself with my long swims but hoping to see some speed increase in long swims after a bit more of this style training!17 -
1) I ran today. Only up a flight of stairs but I RAN. ME. ME! 18 months ago I had a job to heave myself up a flight of stairs and my heart would be racing by the time I reached the top. I RAN!
2) I really should stop spying on people who use the weight machines after me at the gym as I get FAR too much satisfaction when they reduce the weight (especially if they are young and apparently fit males who then huff and puff and sweat to do that reduced weight. Bless them, they have no idea how GOOD it makes me feel).
3) TMI alert - you have been warned! My stomach "overhang" continues to shrink and no longer rests on the toilet seat when I sit down Told you it was TMI!

I ordered a bathing suit for this summer.... it's a bikini. I hope i like it when it gets here20

Out of necessity, I have become very good at taking in and altering my clothes. I loved to sew quilts before I started losing but never clothes. Now all my sewing time is taken up by altering my clothes to fit. It has saved me loads of money.42

I'm sorry... but I just burst up laughing as I read #3!
But congrats on having your body behave somewhat! I can't imagine it being fun having to share the toilet seat with your stomach!1 -
I finally got enough motivation to do a workout yesterday and while I can barely move my legs today (I am so unhealthy joint wise), I loved doing it and will be doing it again tomorrow. I still haven't gone to the gym but I seeing as my gym is opposite the shops, I think I need to get into a habit of taking my workout clothes with me whenever I need to go to Boots or when I want to go window shopping.
Since seeing that Sainsbury's food dancing advert, I've been dancing so much more around the flat and I am so much happier, though that could be because I am seeing more sunny days rather than rainy days now. Also, since cutting down on cheese and eating more in the morning, my skin has gone so soft again and no longer angry with spots and dryness.17 -
Boyfriend told me he could see/feel that my tummy has gone down. Huzzah!22

yesterday I took the stairs two at a time without even realizing it... when I started here, one of my "Why I want to get in shape" reasons was to walk up the stairs to my apartment and not be out of breath25

Held my plank for 2 minutes today only started doing them this week30

My powerlifting program last night had me pulling four sets of deadlifts, TEN reps, at 240 pounds, AND I DID IT!!!24

I love this! Every time I see folks talking about having to get new clothes, I'm like, "No! Find you a good tailor...or learn how to sew!" Waste not, want not!
Although, if there is a really significant loss or if someone never was able to find things they actually liked in their size before...or just never liked themselves enough to buy nice things until after the loss, then I can totally understand that. I guess I just happen to have a lot of things I love (including pricier professional clothes) in a size 16 and XL, all of which are rapidly becoming too loose on me!9 -
My biggest uniform pants were so tight that I've had to work with them un buttoned under my un tucked shirt. I can now button them and zip them up without a fight. My belt has gone down a notch too!17

I finally got over my psychological hump and started the C25K this morning. I don't know why I felt this way, but the very short running times always felt like something I couldn't do in front of other people (Which is kind of weird since I have zero problems using the elliptical, lifting any free weight or machine, or even walking only on the treadmill in front of anyone). I decided that I don't care any more and just got in the zone this morning and forgot that anyone else was there.
Also, I had to punch a new hole in my belt that I was tight on the first hole in November.22 -

Great job! personally im terrified of running i just dont want people staring at me my workout is very personal to me. Iv been doing stair climbing and stufff to get my heart and lungs worked out so hopefully i have a moment like this when it gets warm out, And my heart and lungs will be a bit more ready for running Baby steps for a hopeful end result8 -
Im finally able to say Im happy. I had an eating disorder as a teen, but the weight back on and then some. I was upset until I moved away for work. 2017 is the year of me, and I may not be looking how I want, but im learning to love myself. That itself is its own reward. Im not saying I still have bad days, but they are way less. I can step on the scale now and actually accept the fact that the scale doesnt always have to be going down, it fluctuates. Ya seeing it go up sucks, but I know itll go back down if i keep at it.31

Hey, it made me laugh as well It is funny, but then this whole weight-loss/get-fitter journey has been filled with lighter and amusing moments. Good job too, life can be too serious at times7 -
It seems silly, but yesterday for the first time I jogged in my neighbourhood in the day light when people could & did see me! I haven't been comfortable with the idea that people could see all my jiggly bits but my dog really needed to run yesterday and I've missed the gym the past 2 weeks because of the new puppy so off we went. No cares who saw us! Well me, the dog is super cute and who wouldn't want to see her?27

Don't know if the mirror at the gym was playing tricks or not but I actually liked what I saw for the first time in a long time24
