I'm up at 3 a.m. with terrrible heart burn from those 2 tacos and chips and salsa I ate. The grease was dripping off of them. And now it is running up my esophagus:sick: I did my tums, but still over 13 hours later and they are haunting me.

It may be that you are at the point where you can't eat certain foods now. I remember when i was pregger with my son, I wanted Cheeseburgers from Cecil's, this little place we have here in town that has fresh ground hamburgers and they put their own homemade bbq sauce stuff on them...it's a little spicy, but soooooo gooood. Anyway, I ate at least 4 of those a week because that is what I wanted all the time, and the last few months I had to change to eating steak sandwiches because they didn't put the sauce on them (the cheeseburgers just weren't the same without the sauce! LOL) And grease dripping is just gross anyway isn't it? Maybe the grease is giving him hair! LOL

Boy they are really talking snow for us! MAjor snow event now! I saw a picture of a walmart bread shelf in Trussville (near Birmingham) and it was ALREADY empty and this isn't supposed to hit until Sunday afternoon! I just hope I can get Lettie some milk...she has to have her milk!

I'm planning to go out and do my 3 miles this morning as soon as I can. We have a pretty busy day today. And since it takes me an hour to do that...well...I also hope I can do intervals a lot more today too. I can't decide if I want to go to the trail (which would mean driving into town) or just doing this on my road here. Which has cars and blind spots....I'll have to decide. I could go to the school and do it around the football field. It's not really a track but it's paved and wide it just doesn't have lanes painted but I don't need those and it's kinda monotanous (but safe).... But I AM going to do it regardless.

i rocked my eating yesterday too...I think I've done pretty danged good all week actually. So I'm expecting a good weigh in next Wednesday. :)

WOW you've walked 24 miles already and it's only January 8th.

Yep We are getting the rainy part of that low from the gulf. Most of MS and AL is supposed to get sleet or snow. They say it is going to be super cold here for 4 to 5 days so I would guess it would be the same there, so your snow may be heavy and may hang around a while.

I'm going to Rock my eating today. I was too tired to get to the gym when they opened this a.m. So I am going to later. I want to walk outside but I hurt sometimes and then I have to go to the bathroom urgently and it hurts. I told my hubby I'd rather do the dreadmill that way I can stop it if I have to go potty then go back. And if I start hurting I can stop and drive home.

When I walked with Nicholas in the neighborhood the other day, we got about a mile out and I couldn't hardly move it hurt so bad. I don't like that feeling.

Nicholas has his first basketball game today. I'm also going to try and work on my baby quilt. I have the top done. Now to get it actually quilted.

Make that 27 miles!!! I just got back from my 3 miles today!!!! I'm kicking it with that stuff. I actually jogged most of my "walk" today. I went to the school and went around the football field again. I walked only for 5 minutes to get good and warmed up then I ran intervals of 1 minute walk 2, run 1 walk 2 for the first mile. For the second and 3rd mile I decided to run from goal line to goal line on each side and then walk the end zones to rest. I went from a 20 minute mile to a 15:39 minute mile. Yesterday it took me 56 minutes to do my 3 miles. Today I finished 3 miles in 49:15 ! AWESOME!

I somehow missed the teacher story earlier but I saw it just now. I'm glad that teacher is seeing that the kid is a bully and with another parent turning him in too, maybe Nicholas won't get in trouble because it was obvious he was just protecting himself. Kids like that must have a horrible home life. That's the only thing I can think of. Very sad that he feels like violence is the only way to get anywhere. I bet he has a pushy dad.

Going to a birthday party today so I gotta go get a shower!

Rock the day! Let's do it!!! Woooo hoooooo I'm so pumped!!!! 435 calories!!!!

My day didn't rock, bad food and no exercise. The weight I've put on has finally effected my knees. I haven't had problems with them since I first lost some of my weight on CK.

So I'm going to start over again today. New day. Trying to flush some of the sodium out and eat lighter. I'll have to go to the gym to walk or walk early, b/c the weather is supposed to be nasty here later.

Hope ya'll get some snow. You should they are forecasting it for you down here. I have a kids birthday party today I really don't want to go to. but oh well.

nicholas had his first bb game of the season yesterday and he scored a goal first thing. good thing, cause my camera died right after. then they paired him with another little SOB to guard and Nicholas was guarding him so good the little boy started shoving him to get around him. Even the kids mom was like why is he shoving? not realizing that I was Nicholas' mom. But did she say anything to him? NO. So finally the little kid shoved him to the ground and Nicholas had enough and started crying. I told the coach of the other team who did it. But after that Nicholas had lost all of his motivation. You could see the stress on his face. I felt bad for him, b/c I know it's not that he was seriously hurt from the shoving, he just gets his feelings hurt.

I tried to explain that some people have bad sportsmanship and if you are doing what you're supposed to do then they won't like it. I was so proud of him I was tearing up. The video is on FB if you want to watch.

Yay, now they are saying not only are we gonna get snow, but ICE as well...it's gonna start as ice, then snow on top of it...I love snow, I DON'T like ice. The ice makes the power go out. Thank God we have gas logs and a gas cooktop! We are in the 3" to 5" band on the weather maps. Which is down from the 6" - 10" they were originally predicting.

I'm not sure I will get to do my walk today. I hope I can this afternoon...but it's brutally cold out there right now and I don't have a boggan for my head, I needed one yesterday and it was in the high 30's then! It's supposed to be COLD all day today....

I finished my day under calories yesterday but it was only because of my exercise. But I really felt like I did pretty good. I had grilled weenies and hamburger meat for lunch but no buns...I did eat some chips and dip but really just a small handful. I had a piece of birthday cookie not much though. (we had a birthday party to go to yesterday) Then hubby cooked us up a steak and twice baked taters last night. I ate about half of my steak or about 8 oz. That's about all the meat I can eat. But I love those taters...I logged it...and then I ate 1/2 cup of my pintos I cooked all afternoon, and man are they good, I can't wait to eat beans and cornbread tonight!!! LOL That's my snow food! I cooked up the pintos so we'd have food to eat! LOL We don't have any meat though. Well we do have some sausages we could grill up and eat on loaf bread...we got our bread and milk! LOL

I'll have to keep you posted on the weather here....we'll see what happens! Now I'm gonna go watch Nicholas score!!!! :)

Well, I did get my walk in. My total is now 30 miles! I have 70 more and I can get some new charms. Although I think I will have a 5 lbs loss soon too! I need some new charms. I'm very motivated. I even came in under calories today. WOW...and to think I didn't think I would even do anything today. I actually walked 3.5 miles today just so I could get to 500 calories! LOL It was COLD out there but I did it. I ran about 1/2 a mile but then decided to walk the rest of the way. But I still went from 20 minute miles to 16 minute miles. Not too shabby if I do say so!

On the weather front. We have so far about 3 inches of beautiful pristine white snow on the ground. It's more than at Christmas, it's thicker and beautiful. The driveway is completely covered. Work is closed and the roads in town have been closed too! I made a big ole pot of chicken vegetable beef soup and some cornbread. The house is warm, and I'm loving it! When it first started it was sleet and freezing rain. I was afraid we'd have this mess on the power lines but apparently, it changed to snow soon enough that that won't be a problem.

I was really shocked this morning when we got to church at 9:30 a.m. and I felt my phone vibrating. It was our emergency line from work telling us that they were closing campus at 3 p.m. today and cancelling classes tomorrow. WOW, last year we had ice and they wouldn't close down....I guess things are different this year. Of course this is a little different than that last year too...

OK, I'm done for the night...it's almost bedtime. Can't wait to see what we have in the morning!

glad you got snow. Hope you don't lose electricity or get any more ice.

We got lots of yucky windy cold rain and nothing more. It stayed in the low 40's and high 30's here most of the day, so we were hoping, but it was just too moist and warm here.

I'm starting fresh today. I have to drop my car off for body work this morning, then I'm going to the gym once I find a ride back home to get my MIL's car  Guess I should have planned that out last night. I'll call coo coo she'll come help me. But she won't want to leave after she drops me off. She'll want to visit, and I want to go walk. So maybe i will visit with her for a little while then go walk.

Well, I woke up all excited about the snow. i was outside taking pictures of all the 6 inches or so that we got...my kittehs were on the porch except for my orange kitty OJ. There were tracks going off the porch so i figured he was out hunting. I was taking pics and then I saw him. He was coming back up to the porch and was almost there, but I found him dead laying out in the yard. I don't know what happened to him. it was like he was almost here and then he made a circle and layed down and died. I'm sad.

It's 5:43 in the morning and everyone is still asleep. He was fine last night when I went to bed because I was out there petting him and playing with them all...and now he's gone.

I guess it was just too much for him to make it back.

    I'll be back later.

I had a busy weekend. Wasn't able to log anything because I wasn't near my computer very much, plus there were 2 potluck events, 1 on Sat, 1 on Sun. I just tried to use my best judgement on choices and portions. I plan to go to the gym this evening since everyone else will be at cub scouts.

Lu, I'm so sorry to hear about your cat.

I think I will wear my HRM when I go to play in the snow later today...just curious as to what I might burn in a short amount of time with all the cold! LOL

We have ended up with about 6" I think...it's like a layer of ice and then snow, then ice on top of the snow. And the forcast for next weekend is snow again...we NEVER get this much snow around here.

Last night I told Lettie it was snowing, and she said "It's not Christmastime." and went about her merry way! LOL She loves it though, can't wait to see what she says this morning when she sees it all! it's really pretty.

I think I'll make us a big ole breakfast and just enjoy the day! I have a pile of laundry to wash up and no where to be...I love it!

I'm also about to go weigh. I may not be losing a lot of weight but I can see differences in my body, especially my face. All this walking I'm doing has GOT to do something for me right?????????

I'm still sad about my kitty.

Poor kitty. That is sad.

I'm on my way to the gym, this a.m has been kind of a fiasco, I've been around the world and back:ohwell:

So now I've had my snack to keep my sugar balanced and I'm off to the gym. Pray for Nicholas to have a good day. He has been back at school a week with no ADHD meds. He's been off of them for 3 weeks now. His teacher says he does fine, but we'll see as time goes. It was helping him with reading and english too because of his reading disorder. So I'll have to keep an eye on that. I hope that mean butted kid stays away from him. I tried to give him advice on how to deal with it, but you know kids in the heat of the moment.

I am aiming to keep my sodium down big time the next several days and really stay with eating right and exercise this week.

I go to the doctor Thursday so if I can drop a lb or 2 of fluid weight before then, I shouldn't have much if any gain.

My belly however has gotten much bigger.

I'm just shocked that Atlanta got 6 - 8 inches of snow, plus more ice on top of that. We had record total snowfall for December last month. Never more than 5" at a time, but I think we got hit 3 times. Most of our snow occurs in January. 2 - 4 inches at at time is typical for us, and every few years we'll get 10 - 12 inches at once.

Gina, I'm 90 miles almost due West of Atlanta, that is exactly the same stuff we got here, it's a mess. they've already closed my work down for tomorrow too. It's like a sheet of ice with snow on top, then ice on top of the snow again...solid! It's pretty but it's not fun. We haven't had good snows for about 10 years, so I guess we were due! I'll take the time off because I don't have to make it up, and I get paid anyway! Perks of the job!

My only worry is food. We could run out...I have plenty right now but still it makes me nervous. I heard that the local schools are going to be closed until Thursday because we aren't supposed to thaw out but I saw where tomorrows highs are supposed to be in teh higher 30's maybe we can get out then.

Today, i've done 3 loads of laundry. I could do more but I'm out of detergent. I haven't done anything else, I'm being lazy. I may take today as a rest day!

Katrina, why is Nicholas off his meds? I don't know a whole lot about this ADHD stuff...so I'm just curious. ARe you taking him off for a reason or did the doc suggest or what? If the teacher says he's doing good, then I wouldn't worry too much about him! That's great news though!

Well she said he's been doing okay. He's been controlling the talking but he is taking longer to get work done and doing other little things like blowing his pencil and paper, and just little things like that.

I think he will have to start back on them tomorrow.

We just wanted to see how it went at the new school without them. Plus he was having so many emotional side effects from the meds we've tried that I just wanted to have my son back for a few weeks.

Hmmmmm, I'm not sure about all the medicines we give our kids...I do know that if they need them it's one thing...sounds like he could use them sometimes and not sometimes...I guess you just have to play it by ear don't you?

I just did 1 hour's worth of exercise. I went outside and walked down my driveway. It is a solid sheet of frozen stuff...it wasn't slick though. The road is nothing but slush. You can see the trails where cars have gone down it but it's just ice. I was so afraid I was going to slide down I went really slow going down, but going back up it was killing me. I will say I can definitely tell I have been doing alot of walking. I actually made it up my driveway without stopping. My HRM went crazy high but I didn't stop. I burned 419 calories in one hour. So I'm putting down that I walked 3 miles. I got the same burn as I usually do! But I was only outside for 20 minutes, I came back inside and did the rest in my room. I'm still counting it. 33 miles!

I decided to get 1 more mile in for the day. So I walked up and down the street until I hit a mile. It helped Nicholas burn a little energy too. Now to wrangle him in to do homework.

Have you ever heard of a television station cancelling the evening news because of snow? The station that Lucy works for did...they can't get enough people in to do the news so it's cancelled. It's not good for Lucy because she doesn't get paid if she doesn't work...but really she didn't need to be on the roads...they are bad here. It never got above freezing today and it's only gonna get colder tonight. So we'll see what happens tomorrow. But our family togetherness is getting thick! LOL They cancelled my hubby's work for tomorrow too. That is saying something. The governor did it (he works for the state). I suppose it's ok.

I had some awesome pinto beans and a smoked sausage for supper. YUMMMMM. I just hope we can get out tomorrow, because we are gonna be out of food! LOL

I came in under calories for today too! Good day over all! I just wish this ballgame that's coming on was a good one for me...I can't make myself care! LOL

The snow is still here. All 6" of it. It didn't melt it didn't go away...I'm going to go stir crazy if it doesn't melt off today. I need to get out. It's pretty and I love snow but I like to be able to go places too! LOL

Today is supposed to get up in the higher 30's so I think today will be my last day off we'll see, they've been calling it pretty early every day. I think this snow will be around for at least this whole week...just let the roads melt and clear up and we'll be fine!

I have just enough food for today left. I have half a pot of soup and a few of my pintos are left. Of course I have a pantry full of dried beans, I could cook some more! LOL

I am going to weigh this morning...I'll be back to report on that. I don't think it will be a loss but we'll see. It's not for lack of trying!!!!

I put his med patch on today. I don't know how well it will work as we only tested that med for a week. We'll see. I just want him to do so well and be happy.

It is hard to put him on medications because of all the side effects, but sometimes you have to weigh the risks. It gives me anxiety to do it. We aren't big medication takers in my family so it is a hurdle I will have to overcome.

Well I weighed in today, it was the same as yesterday up to 251, which would put me at about 3 or so lbs gained for the month which isn't bad. I wish I would have watched what I ate in my first trimester and I wouldn't have to be so concerned now. The internet says you gain about 11 lbs during your last trimester, but I have so many fat stores I am going to try to keep it down to a minimum.

I walked today, pretty fast too. I only did 1.5 miles, it is so hard to stay on the treadmill. I'm like you steph I like to be out in the sun and warmth. Not hot and not cold. I did a couple of weights.

I'm going to have to make my goals for doing things at home easier, I was overwhelmed just by the list yesterday, LOL.

So today I am working on clothes, putting away and may get to clean out the laundry room. Maybe. I have to make something for dinner tonight too. Don't know what but it is a perfect night for soup or gumbo. I don't want to eat that much sodium before I go to the doctor on Thursday, because her stupid doctor's scale always shows a huge gain.

I brought soup to work today in preparation for the snow, but a bunch of co-workers are going to a Mexican restaurant and that sounds sooooo much better than lentils. I was way under calories yesterday, yet didn't feel hungry when I went to bed. I think I'll be eating some of those calories for lunch today.

I posted this earlier, but it's not showing up. Maybe I did something wrong?

Anyways, I brough soup for lunch, but a bunch of people are going out for Mexican. I was way under calories yesterday, so I'll probably use some of those today. Just can't get excited about lentils. So I've already logged what I plan to eat. Maybe this will give me some control over what I actually eat.

Sometimes this site does this...And I'll end up posting the same thing 3 or 4 times!

Gina, I know what you mean about something sounding better than what you brought. I'm tired of soup and that kind of stuff. I want something GOOD...I'd probably like a hamburger from Cecil's that sounds yummy!

I just made a loaf of beer bread...it made the house smell good and was so yummy, but was that healthy...heck no! LOL

I weighed...didn't lose any. I'm thinking now that all the steroids I've been taking are causing this...but I'm done with them and it won't be long until I've got that out of my system, and all this calorie burning I'm doing has got to do something for me!

And just to justify the news not being on...it's a local station that is rinky dink really....they don't have many people that work there...it's not like a network station...so I guess it was ok...I'm sure that if she worked for one of the ones in Bham that she'd have been at work regardless!

They are having news tonight as of right now...I just hope she can get out! And be safe!

YUMMY YUMMY in my Tummy! I'm having left over beans again tonight with my PORK CHOPS that we finally got to the store to get. I wanted some fried potatoes to go with them, but they were out so beans cornbread and chops is the menu for tonight! Our little town has been completely shut down for 2 days now...and the roads were just opened at 2 pm and are closing again at 6 tonight. I am supposed to be at work at noon tomorrow...we'll see how that works out. It's kinda strange having to go in at lunch time! LOL

I came in under calories today, even with no exercise. I'm exercising restraint with my food since my back is hurting really bad today and I've not done any form of exercise!
