    Congratulations everyone on your progress!!! I am happy to report that I only have 1 more pound to lose until I reach my November goal of losing 5 lbs in total! :)

    Congrats to all the success stories! Didn't do so well this last week, only down .2 lbs and only worked out twice (stupid gym was closed for renovation w/ out warning!) but looking to do better this week.

    AmandaR910-Finish 100 Push Ups Program and no weight gain (pregnant, so not shooting for a loss here, SW 217.2lbs on Nov. 1st).


    Did my end of Week 4 exhaustion tests for the 100 Push Ups and was able to do 60 consecutive modified push ups!! (up from 16 before I started the program). I'm starting Week 5 tomorrow or the next day and am on track to finish the entire program this month with my final test on 11/30!!! Super proud of the progress.
    Also still down about 2lbs so right on track!

    As for working out today, burned 614 calories on the ellipitcal and treadmill.

    I'm jumping in at the half-way point because I'm new here and it helps me stick to my plan if I share it. November 1st I weighed about 191 lbs. Monday I weighed 187.2. My goal for the month is 185. I joined MFP for the tools because I kept plateauing every 6-8 lbs (started about 208). Am hoping the support helps keep me motivated when I go through the inevitable, "do I really want to fight this fight the rest of my life?" I'm sticking to my calorie allotment (mostly) and walking 40-45 minutes six days a week, but I need to add some core and upper body work, so that's a goal for November too.

    I just had to share, I ran 3 miles in 30 minutes today at the gym! Granted it was on a treadmill without an incline, but still I couldn't run a mile in 15 min 2 months ago. I met 1 of my goals for this month, now I just need to keep it up and lose another 3 lbs. Wish me luck!

    You are only down 2 lbs!! 2 pounds is great! Keep up the good work!! and Congrats on 3 mile run on treadmill. Celebrate you successes honey and no buts and no incline on treadmills. Jogging 3 miles is jogging 3 miles and a great accomplishment!!

    My weigh in was today, 213.4lbs, so a loss of 3.8lbs this month. Going for maintenance but this works. :) Doing Week 5 Day 2 of the 100 Push Ups and still on track to finish it 11/29 or 11/30. :) Very proud of that. In the meantime, my kid had engaged REALLY low into my pelvis and walking is hurting lol. The elliptical doesn't hurt ironically, but oh goodness normal walking is awful. Only 23 days left though, so I'll deal.

    This is an excellent idea Dounia!! Even though I know I need to burn 4500 calories this week, I know I will not make that number this week. Too much on my plate. and the only way for me to do that is to get to the gym 4 to 5 days at least and I have 2 more weeks to go with doing at home exercise with the gym only when I can squeeze it in.

    I will cheer you on, keep us posted with how many calories you have left!! Have a good week!

    Cnbethea -- Congrats on weight loss this week! Keep up the good work!!! I like the way you are doing your weight loss this month. I am going to do that next month since making a goal per month has not been working for me. I will end up down this month but not 10 pounds......:-) I think I will 5 or 6 and I will take it.

    No matter how many diets I try, when it comes to the holidays I always lose my will power. Does this happen to anyone else? It's very frustrating, and I always emerge after Thanksgiving with so much to make up for. I just joined this program for emotional eaters called Shrink Yourself, and it's really helping me get to the root of why I overeat. If anyone has any tips I'd be glad to hear them.
