Hi, Have had a good day walking......did 7.5 miles through lots and lots of mud YUCK!!! Started walking in the forest then along the coast but it was getting dark in the end and I had to cut back through fields and eventually ended up at a farm then walked back along the road a bit better on the food front today but lots of room for improvement :bigsmile:0

This Challenge has been the best thing that has happened for my fitness regime. Guys, please do carry the challenge months over months, and I'm looking forward to "December Walking Challenge" !
I totally agree! This challenge has put walking every day (or as much as my busy schedule will allow) into the forefront of my mind and helped to keep me focused on my goals. Thanks you guys for this challenge and I too hope that it continues on month after month. I'm totally looking forward to the December walking challenge and I hope that I'm able to push myself even farther in the upcoming months! We should totally change it to the "December Miles Challenge" because soon I'm going to be doing more jogging than walking! lol And I know others are doing biking too. The "Miles Challenge" just seems to be more inclusive to all forms of exercise that involves racking up the miles.
PS - It's getting uber cold out there - so for those who get a lot of snow, ice, etc, try walking the mall. It's a great way to stay warm and you get to check out the cool window displays while you're walking and imagine yourself slimmer and able to fit into the clothes in the window displays!
PSS - Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope we all refrain from "over doing it" when it comes to the holiday meal. *hugs*0 -

Was not feeling very well today, so did only 3.12 miles. Brighter part is, I finished my months goal !
Darker side is, I still am stuck with the same weight for a month now. Can someone help me point out what am I doing wrong ?0 -

Walked 3 miles yesterday but forgot to post. Today I walked zero miles

Updated my ticker with my stats. Did 3 running/walking with a friend turkey morning. Nothing yet today but I plan on treadmill later or gym to do stepper. We'll see. I'm on target to make my goal before the end of month.0

Hi, 5 Miles today !0

Did 3 miles running in treadmill at the gym - 4-5.5mph varying inclines from 0-10 randomly changing on a program. When It came down low I ran faster, when it went up over 5 I slowed down to 4ish or more. After the 3 miles there I headed upstairs tonthe stepper machine. I just wanted to do 46 floors which is what I have done before but I ended up playing the numbers game to get more calories, more miles, more floors. LOL. Ended up doing 1.6 miles, 278 calories, and 76 floors on stepper.
For a grand total of 618 calories & 4.6 miles for today. Not too shabby.0 -

November will be over in only 3 days so here’s a little update on our progress:
• 1,330.8 total miles walked.
• 7 people reached their target (katjack, barty, ladybug, luckie, vbhoj, I_wanna_b_RN, esorcel).
• 11 people walked over 50 miles.
• 20 of 49 starters should make their goals.
Keep posting your results on the thread. You make it easier for me to collect the data & prepare the final chart.0 -
