I have to share a special moment. Last week I saw a woman I had classes with last semester. She doesn't see me too often. We went through an entire lecture almost directly beside each other, then after, I turned to speak to her and she was taken aback! She said that she hadn't even recognized me because of the weight I've been losing. She seemed absolutely amazed!

I don't see THAT drastic of a change in me, but it's REALLY nice to know some others can! Especially when I'm not seeing any weight come off of the scale. It kept me motivated!

That's awesome! I want to be unrecognizeable to my own family come the end of January. It'll be quite a challenge, but amazing if I can do it. I'm already at least 10lbs lighter than the last time they saw me.

Oh you can totally do it! You're on a roll already...and shedding the ones that were on you! haha. Like what I did there? :flowerforyou:

Oh my God, please let this past month be a horrible dream! I don't know how much more we can take. We laid Nick's Grandma to rest Saturday, here it is Monday and we now have to do the same for Nick's Grandpa this weekend. He was in ICU when his kidneys failed. Please keep us in your thoughts. I don't know how much more we can take. I'm at a loss of words.
  • Oh no, Bru! That's awful! I'm so sorry to hear that :( You're in my thoughts, dear. Is Nick holding up okay?

hey everyone! this week i'm officially weighing in at 163.5.. which puts me down 3lbs from last time, aaand getting me to the total of 30lbs lost so far!def a big landmark moment for me.. hope everyone is having a good month so far! i've gotten into running a few months ago, and decided to really push myself and go from 3 miles one day to 4 the next.. big mistake. i was fine, def tired at the end, but when i got home, i noticed my vision was a little blurry in the corner of my eye for about 20 min or so. fortunately it went away and has been normal since. i read online it might be attributed to low blood sugar, though i'm def having it checked out this week.

Bru- so sorry for your loss. Hope you and your family are doing ok.

    goals for this week:
I WILL drink at least 8 glasses of water every day.
I WILL get in good workouts, even on my upcoming vacation.
I WILL take care of myself and get in enough calories as to not overexert myself, like the other day.
I WILL NOT let the shortness of daylight get me down and give me an excuse to not work out.

But to look on the bright side or at least to bring some light vs darkness, they get to be together again.

Thank you ladies. Nick is kind of holding up. I tried to hold it in last night, but I couldn't. I took the news much worse than he did. But we really were expecting it with the way his health went down hill quick. They want to do things as quickly as possible, so services are going to be either Wed-Thurs or Thurs-Fri of this week. I think Nick will let it out once we get to the wake. His baby brother, Stephen, held it in about his Grandma until the day of the funeral.

I'm glad that he is no longer suffering because I know he was in the hospital. And I'm really glad to know that he didn't have to be without Grandma for very long.

Just keep us in your prayers, there are lots of things to do now and paperwork to go over. It's going to be a long, painful process. *hugs* and thank you all again.

I'm super late with my weight in. I've been in NY since Friday. Had a blast, but didn't watch my calories. oops. BUT, i am happy to report a loss! I am now 147.6 which means that I am at a HEALTHY body weight! I'm celebrating. But not too much! Still would like to see a loss next week too! yay!

I'm getting in the majority of my calories earlier in the day today. I need to get back to having breakfast as my big meal, a moderate lunch, and a small dinner. I felt better that way, and it was more conducive to weight loss. Eating the bulk of my calories after 6pm always left me feeling yuck and not sleeping as well. I also need to get back to doing eggs and stuff in the morning and not sugary cereal or just english muffins! I love scrambled eggs with broccoli and cheese in them!! I'm not sure when the next time I'll have a ride to the grocery store will be, so I'm just eating what I have for now. Ate a couple crackers with my vitamins hoping I don't throw up like last time. I think I took the fish oil on an empty stomach before.

How are you all sticking with your goals??

-I got in all my water yesterday, and am planning on doing so today.
-I did exercise a bit last night. Did a few pushups and part of a dvd.
-And even though I barely hit 1200cal ( I like to get up to at least 1400) I didnt eat ice cream just to make my goal, because I wasn't hungry. So no boredom eating yesterday either.

Rach- Thanks! Your post reminded me to take my vitamins. I've been horrid at remembering to take them.
New goal this week: take my vitamins everyday. Even on the weekend.

And congratulations on not eating ice cream. I don't even buy. I don't have that kind of will power. :flowerforyou:

I forget all the time too!! I tried to put them on a shelf where I'll see them in the mornings, but it still doesn't always work.

Mine are on the counter next to my coffee (and I promise I never forget to drink THAT) but I still manage to forget to take them. I try to keep a couple at work so if I remember there I can still take them.
  • I did get in all my water yesterday, and I've got 2 in today so far. As for raw fruit/veggies, that's a big negative because I haven't been to the grocery store yet. But I did sautee some zucchini, squash, onion, and garlic last night. Not raw, but definitely delicious! And the weekend's not here yet, but I WILL log those calories and eat better!!!

Started the pushup, situp, and squat challenges yesterday. Maybe I won't give up this time!

Just a question ladies. for next weeks chart do you want to start it over at week one and make new 10week goals or do you want to continue on week 11, seeing the progress for all the weeks like we have??

    Just curious. :flowerforyou:

Could you do a combination of both? Maybe make a column that had our total first 10 week loss and then restart everything for the second 10 weeks?

I'll see what I can come up with. I'm bored at work today. :flowerforyou:

A girl I work with, is about 4months after trying for 7yrs and finding out she had PCOS. Staying away from a lot of gluten helped her out a lot. :flowerforyou:

I had not even thought about cutting out gluten. If the drugs dont work this cycle I might try that next month! Thanks for the tip!!

Bru: I am so so so sorry for everything that your family is going through. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Rach: I am neutral either way! Whatever is easiest for you!!

So I realized this morning while I was driving to work that I am 1/3 of the way through my weight loss!! YAY!! The first third has been pretty easy, I hope the rest comes off as easily!
