    I've been bad at logging my daily miles (usually logging minutes) but I looked at my odometer that I reset to 0 on Aug 1 and I'm at 166 miles. I'm right about where I want to be for my 300 goal.

    Sucky month so far. Lost the last half of July and the first 10 days of August to travel and sickness, then another week trying to rebuild endurance after 3 weeks off the bike. Feeling like I'm back on track and back on my training plan now.

    08/05 - 66 miles @ 15.4mph w/3,600' climbing
    08/08 - 72 miles @ 16.2mph w/3,100' climbing
    08/10 - 130 miles @ 15.5mph w/7,400' climbing
    Had a work trip so didn't ride for a week.
    08/17 - 105 miles @ 15.8mph w/6,100' climbing -- broke my rear derailer cable at mile 77. Spent an hour trying to fix and was able to with the help of a passing motorist with some wire snips. Took most direct way home.


    August Total: 540 miles and 29,050 feet of climbing


    Goal #1 for August: 400 miles with 20,000' climbing --- REACHED 08/10!!!
    Goal #2 for August: 1,000 miles with 50,000' climbing
