3 miles in, slow going today though. Just couldn't keep that heart rate up.

Brisk -10 headed to the barn to check on the animals, at least it's warm when I get there, the barn is fully heated.

Playing catch up as I wasn't able to post last night as my oldest had his 2nd grade singing program at school. He was standing next to this cute little girl and they were making eyes at each other and flirting the whole time and fitting some singing in between He's usually not keen on girls - the whole cootie thing has been in effect for about 18 months now. So when I asked him about it, he surprised me by saying - "she likes me and I like her. That would have bugged me back when I was a little kid, but now I just think it's part of life, right mom?"

So got 3.1 miles done yesterday with the 5k with a twist DVD. Today, is a rest day as I have to do some baking for our office Christmas party this evening.

    Hey Everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA, but I've had to prep for a math placement test for college~ haven't been in a math class in 17 years! Don't know what class it was, but something stuck since I passed with flying colors~~~woot woot woot!

Did 3 fat burning miles tonight and even 'tho I'm over on my cals, it's nice to see the "in 5 weeks" still says I'll drop a few pounds!

    Stay Strong!

    Hi

I did the 2 mile big burn tonite. It's not a good week for me. Too much food being brought in at work. I'll be glad when this week is done. The food situation should be better next week so maybe I can make up for this week by Christmas.

    Hang in there everyone!

    Congrats Eagle!

Hello all, just got 2 mile in today. Had the Grands over and played all evening, better than a workout, but not so many calories burned.

-25 here last night, way to cold for this time of year. This is late January weather. Brrrrrrrr...rrrrrrr.rrrrrr.rrrrr.r

    Nite Alice

Well, I had the best of intentions, but yesterday turned into a mess and so was I. Unfortunately, I did a little, I mean a lot of, emotional noshing during my baking/pity party that I threw myself. Oh well, that was yesterday. We had a breakfast potluck this morning at work and I can't even begin to figure how many calories was in what, so will have to fit in a couple of miles this evening in an attempt to even things out a bit. Then on to tomorrow and a better plan for the day!

    Hi, all! elf.gif

I did 5 Fat-Burning Miles yesterday but my food choices weren't the best! Oh well, it was special, though--crabmeat and pasta--YUM!

This morning I did 3 miles with Leslie and then took my grandson for a walk for about a mile. Plan on another mile or two with him tonight to see the lights!

    Hi EveryOne,

I walked 3 miles today w/ Leslie Sansone. I'm ready for a new DVD something different.
I'm only working 2 to 3 days a week (Thank Goodness, because I can concentrate on myself MFP But Bad otherwise). So I was home all day cooking a Chicken vegetable soup. Yummy ;-).

PLUMSGRL- Awesome on your math test  / Its my worst subject

ALICE- WOW! 25 below "OMG" I can't imagine anything colder then 30 degrees. I've never seen snow, Love to see it one day.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE / STAY SAFE

Got in a 3 mile walk so far and hope to get at least a couple more by the end of the day.

There's so much to do this time of year but I am handling it better than I ever have. I WOULD like to do better at resisting the treats but even there I'm doing better so I am counting that as a victory!

    Have a wonderful day! xmas.gif

Alice: I'd take you up on mailing snow. My boys are just dying for a good snowstorm so they can go play in it.

Kathy: I agree - that's a victory any which way you look at it - Congrats!

Sandy: I haven't started shopping for Christmas. Plan to do some this weekend, but the majority will have to wait until Christmas Eve due to how our paychecks fell

I did 5 Fat Burning Miles today during lunch instead of going to the department's luncheon. So still treking toward my December goal, albeit slowly and sporadically. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hope everyone has a great weekend and get everything they need to do accomplished. I have 2 more batches of cookies to make. So hard to be strong. But I have to be im so close to my goal now.

christmas3.gif Hi all! Busy day today so I need to get started.

I did 2 miles this morning that were 5 mph each. Sure did get me sweating! Hope to get more done later as I have baking to do and a number of activities that involve sitting to complete today.

    Have a great day, everyone!

    Hello All,

I didn't do well last night, I ate more then I should have. Walking around that Mall & not stopping to eat made me famished when I got home. To late to record on MFP :embarassed: . So I really had to work extra hard today. I got on my treadmill after hearing Marie had done her's. See how people can motivate you, THANKS MARIE I needed that ;-). First time I've used my treadmill since on MFP. I guess I should Add that into my work-outs. It was surly a Better work-out then walking the Mall ;-).

    Marie - Thank YOU!
Lesliet05 - WOW! Great Job!! ( It was hard for me to finish that 5 mile)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend :-) and keep on truckin

    Hi Everyone!

I've been slacking on my posting this week. I am glad to say that all the food festivities at work are over and I hope the weather is agreeable so I can start walking at lunch again. I didn't even log my food for Thursday and Friday but I"m back on the bandwagon today. Hopefully I'll get in a real walking workout tomorrow. Yesterday and today I've been trying a new workout. It's called "SHOP AWAY THE POUNDS" It makes you and your pocketbook lighter!

I forgot my pedometer yesterday but I logged almost 3 miles today. I"m so glad all the shopping is finished and I hope I have sense enough to not wait until the last minute next year. I can hope anyway.

All of you are really working hard and really making me feel guilty. I need that butt kicking we were all discussing at the beginning of the month! :blushing:

I hope your all having a good weekend.

    Hey all,

Just got in from work and that's all I have done today. Long day, nice customers though and a good productive day.
Maybe I can sneak something in yet tonight.

Sandy if you want a REAL butt kicking try Leslies 2 mile Walk and Kick. Glad to hear you are enjoying this wonderful Christmas season. We know you'll be back on track tomorrow!:drinker:

    I've been slacking as well!

I've just been a bit burnt out from to much work and getting school stuff togeather.
I've managed to do another 7 miles over the last three days~ walking with Plum (it got up to the 40's) and a few miles with Leslie.
My back's been messed up from an ergonomic problem at work (gonna try to fix that this week), so I had to lay off the kettlebell for a week, yuck!

The plus side is that for some reason I woke up "feeling" thinner this am~ so I weighed in early another 1.6# loss!

    OK, I'm off to bed!

Marie, Thanks for the butt kicking and the encouragement! I needed it. I have done much better with the food this weekend and I did the 4 mile punch up your walk today.

Alice, The Walk & Kick is a good one. I need to dig it out and give it another go. I like 2 milers for the weekdays as I just don't have time for the longer ones.

Eagle, I don't know how you do so much with your work schedule. But hang in there your doing great with the weight loss and I'm sure Plummy enjoys the walking too.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

    Good morning!
I went for a long walk with my grandson yesterday. No sprints in between light posts this time, though--too slippery! It was beautiful, though, with the sun shining and little birds flitting about--we enjoyed it a lot.

I plan on some extra exercise walking today as my food over the weekend could have been a lot better AND I keep forgetting to drink my water! I think I will start a log and keep it by the sink. One of my friends on another thread did that and says it really helped get the habit going.

    Keep on moving, everyone!
