TGIF!!!!!! (One week till HI:glasses: )
Jalara~ YAY!!! Keep up the good work! Sorry to hear about your back, I hope it gets better soon.

Ron~ That would have scared the pee out of me! I'm sorry that happened to you. Cars never break at a convenient time. LOL if there is such a thing...

Jenny~ Glad that you are starting to feel better! Being sick stinks! When I was sick a while back I lost 5 lbs and they actually stayed away. I think it was a much-needed shock to my body that actually helped!

Pam~ Yummmmm cookies! They are my weakness. I wouldn't be able to control myself.

    Alisa.....???? News????

Me- LOL did really good yesterday! Stayed under my calories, went to Zumba, and started packing. I got out my shorts and just as I suspected...they are about 2 inches too big. I don't know what to do. Should I get them altered or just find some new ones? I knew they were going to be big, but not that big. :noway:
I had a ton of energy at Zumba last night, I was jumping all over the place. It was SO much fun. I have made it my goal to make it to Zumba 3 more times, and the way my schedule is right now that means Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Ugh that's going to be fun and exhausting LOL.

Happy Friday everyone! Being jobless makes Friday's less exciting  Yesterday I went over my calories bc i REALLY wanted Chocolate last night...

Still no sign of AF.... I took an HPT yesterday and it was negative....so i have no idea what is going on....My mom said it might be from traveling that has thrown my cycle off. It's annoying bc i had it all timed out and now this is hardcore throwing it off!

I sat down with DH last night to really talk about the whole getting preggo thing and time frames etc Their est return date is sooner than we thought it was going to be, but getting preggo this month would still be cutting it really close. So, he doesn't want to start this month so we will LITERALLY have ONE shot to get it right.....which kinda upset me but i will respect his desire not to miss the birth.

Doing some Christmas shopping today! Super excited to get some of it knocked out! I got my sewing machine up and running and made my MIL an apron for Christmas, and I'm going to make one for my mom! I LOVE this time of year. This weekend's project is Christmas cards and writing our annual update letter!
  • Hello all, I may have to start lurking on this thread now... I have baby fever. Oh no! LOL, anyways, my little girl is 15 months 3 weeks old and we had planned to TTC in the fall. That way when the next one is born, my LO will already be potty trained and pretty self sufficient. Unfortunately, my baby fever has set in NOW. Both of my closest girlfriends are pregnant, among many other people I know. Not to mention trying to get pregnant. My little girl has been such an angel, I am just so ready, and I miss breastfeeding. And I am almost back to the shape that I would like to be... My baby weight is GONE (though the pooch is still there). I dunno, I'm trying to talk my hubs into trying in the summer, as opposed to waiting till Fall. But with the military and moving in October... Fall might be better, once we're settled at our new base.... Oh I hate waiting. Not to mention, who knows if I'll get pregnant right away again? With my little one it was literally instant. I got my wisdom teeth taken out, I was taking a bunch of pills because of the surgery. I asked the hubs if he would mind if I just cut out one extra pill and stopped taking my Birth Control, "May as well start trying now." 2 and a half weeks later I was pregnant. Ridiculous. I'm kind of worried that the next one will take longer though. One of my girlfriends was trying for nearly 8 months before she got pregnant. And she was tracking her temperature every day, ovulation stuff. I don't even know how to do that, I hope I don't have to. Oh boy... Just wanted to say I'm a "lurker". Good luck to you all:)

Alisa I am right there with you! I haven't started either (and unless I'm experiencing immaculate conception I'm NOT pregnant). I'm on day 30 and am typically a 28 day'er. I also understand the intricacies of planning around my husbands military schedule. Actually hoping I DON'T start today because if I do, my due date (which I know people rarely deliver on that day) would be September 11th....what a lousy day to have as a birthday!

I'm feeling AF is just around the corner as I made an attempt to hunt down the Cinnamon my GPS said was in this town! lol! Needless to say, I never found it (thank goodness...do you KNOW how many calories are in 1 cinnabon?!?! haven't had one in over 8 years though...may have to hunt again tomorrow. lol!).

I worked out for almost 4 hours yesterday and definitely think I kickstarted my metabolism as I am STARVING today. I still haven't hunted down a scale so I'm not sure how much I'm weighing these days. I felt very strong and fit today in Spinning class. I also was thinking to myself as I was in class why do we define ourselves by the number on the scale? Yes there were lots of women in that class that were thinner than me, but I still felt comparably sexy in a strong kind of way (if that makes any sense). Anyhoo, my rant for the day.

Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!

    My goals for the day:
Get up early enough to eat breakfast AND make my lunch. Done!
Not have any more than 5 chocolate balls (I just can't not have chocolate)
Meet and interview trainer at lunch (booked an appt)
Go to the gym (easy workout b/c of my back)
Eat a healthy supper that does not include cheese!
Stay within 150 of my calories.
So this is how I did:
Got up and had breakfast and ate lunch
Only ate 1 chocolate ball and 1 mint
Met the personal trainer and decided to hire her to use out the rest of the sessions on my contract - every Thursday after work
    Went to gym
Ate a not healthy supper that included cheese
Went over calories, but I"m comfortable with it

Also - I forgot my notebook at home this morning so I didn't have a chance to write in it, but I'm liking it so far. And I got in 2 bottles of water while I was at work, which hasn't happened in awhile.

Heather - You worked out for FOUR hours?? Holy! Your body must be excellently conditioned! Congrats on having that kind of endurance!

Frosty - Welcome!!!! I understand baby fever!

    Alisa/Heather - keep us posted!!

Alisa/Ron - just so you know, when I came off BC it took 4 months for my period to be regular. I went from 26 days to 36 days and finally settled on 29. It may be a little screwy for awhile!

Just got back from a 55 minute hike with a wonderful guy friend, it was Awesome! Dark out there with a sky full of stars and snow every where. That got my calories back under my daily goal. My wonderful dh brought me a candy cane shake and while it was delicious it was a whopping 420 calories.

I am so emotional today, I have spent most of the day crying. I am assuming that this is my hormones working themself out and really hoping Aunt Flo starts soon!
  • Good Morning! I'm happy to report that the nasty head cold I've been dealing with all week seems to be 90% gone. On that note, it's my husband's weekend to work, so I was up at a bright and early 5:30 today. Figured it was an omen that I should really get on the treadmill since I haven't touched it in quite a while. Once I got my sneaks on, the lazy dog that never wants to walk with me got all excited for a walk. Don't think she realized that it's 40 degrees out this morning, but I figured if I was going to exercise, it was the least I could do to oblige her with a walk. Well, 45 minutes, 2.25 miles, and one crazy huge hill later, I'm glad she coaxed me out of the house this morning and I feel great. Went over my calories the worst of the week yesterday, but it was our work holiday party and I made the least worst decisions possible. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I've taken a break because months of a regular visitor was just discouraging... though, of course, I'm happy for those who've successfully conceived, I'm also a bit jealous. And now, when I haven't been mentally trying, I'm a week overdue and have mixed emotions about the potential for being pregnant. I'm old enough that I could just be irregular (though I haven't been since shortly after removing the IUD). I'll give it a week, then test if nothing's happened.

I just thought someone here would understand my weird ambivalence...perhaps not, but I hope so.

I think I understand how you are feeling. Maybe part of it is you are scared to get excited about it in case it is negative. How long for you had your iUD out?

A YEAR and no pregnancy! UGHHHHHHH, mine has only been out almost a month, I knew it wouldn't be a fast deal but a YEAR!!! I still haven't had a period or bleed since the dang thing came out! I just want my period.

So, the good news (sorta): I'm 40, and my husband and I live in different states because of our employment (so we don't see each other very often....about 2 weekends a month).... and some of that time is spent clothed, out with our twins!

I guess that makes me feel better for me, but feel bad for you. I am 36 years old so according to some of the people I know I am "old" to be TTCing and they can't figure out why we would want another one when our youngest is 7. I sometimes wish people would mind their own business.

    Weigh In Stats
    FFF SW = 268.6
    Week 14 Weight = 241.2 (-2.4 lbs)
    Week 15 Weight = 240.7 (-0.5 lbs)
    Week 16 Weight = 239.9 (-0.8 lbs)
    Week 17 Weight = 240.1 (+0.2 lbs)
    Week 18 Weight = 237.0 (-3.1 lbs)
    Week 19 Weight = 237.9 (+0.9 lbs)
    Week 20 Weight = 236.6 (-1.3 lbs)
    Week 21 Weight = 238.5 (+1.9 lbs)

Yup - all my bad habits have caught up with me this week...yuck. Oh well, I'm back on track and looking forward to spending time with family and friends in the coming weeks. Thats my focus for the holidays, NOT the cookies sitting in my fridge. I came home from DH's best friend's new house yesterday after painting two rooms completely in 4 hours feeling exhausted. More importantly though, I was shaking....After my shoulders and arms shook so badly, I decided to log it as exercise. I probably didn't get in enough water considering all that work. I was woried that I would stiffen up overnight but I'm alright today.

Working from home today since we are having snow squalls right now and DH had to leave for work 45 minutes early....I would rather sit here in my jammies for an extra hour and a half.....LOL

    SW: 204
LW: 155 (technically 158 but that was all AF so I refused to count it  )
    CW: 153

Only 3 more to go!!!!!!  I’m surprised because I had a few really bad days. This week I need to focus on getting all my water in…I’ve been really bad with that the past few weeks, and I need to start running again. I’ve been using the cold as a excuse not to go outside but I was out there all last winter with no problem. I need to suck it up.

Pam. I think staying in your jammies sounds like a wonderful idea, enjoy your morning!

Ron, you are doing awesome on your weight loss! You will have those 3 pounds gone in no time!

    Thanks Amanda, I hope so!

I’ve had a lot of cramping last night and today. I’m going to be really mad if AF shows up again, especially considering I just got rid of her last week.:grumble: I know my cycle most likely will be screwy for a few months but I really, really, really don’t want to have to deal with her so soon again. :frown:

Ron....I completely hear ya.....in fact, that's exactly what i'm dealing with today. I just got rid of her last week and this morning there was some spotting, but I figured no big deal....just realized that it's not just spotting......LOVELY.....I really thought I was having a normal cycle this month....O was a little early even.....it's kinda crummy really...not happy in the least. The only good thing that I can say is that at least I know why this extra water weight hasn't come off....LOL

An extra reason to sit in my jammies....LOL...nah, I have to get dressed, I'm officially working right now....and we have webcams so that wouldn't be good...LOL

The beginning of a new week!
I weighed in this morning exactly the same as last week which I’m taking as a triumph because this past weekend had not only a Christmas feast at our home but AF also showed up.
This week’s goals are to work out 4-5 days this week, drink at least 60oz of water a day, eat out only once, and of course to stay within my calorie goals! I had really wanted to hit my halfway mark for the New Year which means I need to loose 6 lbs before Jan 1st, let’s see if I can make it even considering the holidays! I’ll be happy if I make it close to my goals considering I can count on one hand how many weeks I’ve lost more than 2 lbs , and that’s how much I’d need to loose every week this month!

Well...It is a cold blustery Monday here in MI! ICK! I really don't like the feel of winter but I do love the look. Snowflakes are swirling around outside my office window and it's so pretty. (As I sit here with my space heater on high)
Weigh-in results show +.2 lbs gain. :frown: (CW139.6 GW 139) Not what I wanted to see before HI, but I will take it. .2 is not enough to get upset about. LOL
Ron/Pam I'm Sorry for the AF issues. I would just like mine to show up again! Last month was my first one in many years, and was very short. So I was hoping it was going to start coming on a regular basis. Now on CD30 and no signs yet. I would really like AF to visit be fore we go to HI!!!! DH would be VERY unhappy if she decides to come while we are on the cruise!
I will be going to Zumba tonight, and the instructor tonight is very good at kicking my butt. So hopefuly I can see a loss this week.
    Goals for this week:
    30 push-ups before eating lunch
    2 Zumbas
    NO eating out!

Happy Monday ladies! For all you that are complaining about snow....Just think of those of us who WANT it but won't get it....it's rather warm today for it being December, so warm in fact that i sent the kiddo to school with just a long sleeve shirt on and i am wearing a short sleeve shirt with a light fleece on. Boo....

On a TTC note - AF FINALLY showed up yesterday afternoon! 32days....Man I hope she levels out on something more like 27-29 days this month...She is here and she apparently is mad at me?? I have the worst cramps and back ache and if i didn't have to write a speech i would for sure be laying in bed with a bucket of something unhealthy but delicious watching day time TV....

I have a busy day today so i won't be able to make it to the gym, I have to write my speech that i have to give tomorrow morning, I have to go to target and get some stuff that we're missing to finish putting up Christmas decorations (got the tree up and decorated last night...) and then i have to go home and bake cookies for a meeting/ornament exchange that i have tonight! Let the holiday festivities begin!

On CD33 today...no sign of AF and no sign of pregnancy either. I keep trying to convince myself that I am just REALLY late due to traveling since it is virtually impossible to ovulate on day 22 (which would be the first time I saw hubby all month long). I decided this morning that I will wait until Friday and if I haven't started by then I will test.

I guess I do have 2 symptoms...tired and hungry (but that goes with both so...). I am usually an early riser but since living in this hotel room for the past week and a half and having hubby working nights my schedule has been a little screwy (which also could be the reason as to why AF is late). I ate WAY too much this weekend and didn't workout at all. Today is a new day though...and I've got lots of exercise plans in store. Going to do my Tracy Anderson method, then step aerobics, followed by Spinning. I had planned on doing spinning this morning but decided to hit the snooze button instead...and thought it might be overkill. lol.

Sorry to hear how frustrating your AF situations are....I get frustrated when mine doesn't come at 28 days like usual! lol! I can't imagine getting it then a week later having it again!

So....what are your opinions on the possibility of ovulating on day 22? I'm thinking probably didn't happen since I've not ovulated on my own in years (had to take Clomid to ovulate last time). Stranger things have happened...but I know how we try to convince ourselves of that only to have AF come after all.

Alisa - don't get me wrong. I'm SOOO not complaining....LOL I'm described by my coworkers as the snow queen (which is better, IMHO, than Ice Princess...LOL) It's so pretty out there and it doesn't look heavy so I might wait till DH gets home from work and then help shovel.....

Heather - it is possible for CD 22 especially if routine has been out of whack, which it sounds like it. Even if you don't have a history of anovulation, it's possible that it just didn't happen though so expect a slightly more angry version next round...LOL Isn't it funny though how when we know it's virtually impossible, we're still ticking off the symptoms thinking there is a glimmer of hope? Funny really isn't the word.....LOL I know my LP is 13 days and yet I can sit there after 46 days knowing that DH and I did not dance in the window and still have to go out and get a test.....Try and make sure you're getting lots of sleep, water and try and get back to some semblance of a routine and I bet she shows up, which gets you ready for next cycle.

Hey all - here I thought te board was quiet today... I forgot to change pages. AHAHAHA!

Good weekend for me - may I say - Burlesque was an AWESOME movie! It made me want to dance!

I ate out twice this weekend, but it was brunch both times. My issue is that gluten-free bread has 210 calories per (tiny) slice. I hardly eat it, but that puts brunch WAY too high in calories. At least I opted for spinach omelettes and fruit.

Didn't weigh in - I'm so not into it. I keep toying with the idea of never weighing again.... or running away from this site (I can't seem to stick to it, just like other things). But I never do. I just don't weigh that often. Meh- whatever.

Goals for the week: stay in calories 3 times, eat breakfast EVERY day, and work out 4 times. I'm taking a friend to Zumba on Wednesday - we used to go out dancing together, but she's in AA so this way we can go dancing together anyway :)

Hmmm, taking a break from the group doesn't do much good when I stalk the thread anyway. Alisa, I'm glad AF finally showed, though I'm sorry she was late. Did you get a +opk later? Just so you know, my cycles range from 26-31 days, so all over the map and that's nearly a year off of birth control. Those variable O dates throw a wrench into everything.

Sorry about the funky AF ladies. She did it to me this month, too. I had one day of flow and 5 days of spotting. :noway: I'm really hoping that my light AF is not the reason I'm not getting pregnant. Maybe I'll try gojo berries. Red raspberry leaf tea did nothing for me.

I got an elliptical trainer for home last week and I'm looking forward to using it tonight. The resistance is a lot firmer than I'm used to, but it's a great workout and will continue to be so after I get used to it. I hit goal weight around Thanksgiving, but I went back up last week. Though I'm mostly focusing on toning now.

Awwww Erica.......LOL I'm glad to see your shining face though.

Jalara....LOL to you too....can't get away from us that easily....

Having an incredibly blah day. The shaking from yesterday has translated into stiffness today. Add into that the fact that my DH went to pump up the tire tonight and broke off the valve stem....CAA came by and put ont he spare, but with the roads as icy as they are.....off to the only place open after 8pm in my small town, the dealership....blah...they were asking $240 for the sensor valve replacement. Not what I wanted with the holidays right here, but what can you do?

Just wanted to pop in to say hi! Hope that all of your ladies are doing well and I am sprinkling baby dust on you! I have been trying to keep up with you all!

No news here. First dr. apt. next Monday. I almost have myself convinced I am making this up.... I have had cramps (no blood) and a couple other symptoms but no morning sickness yet.

I was rushing around this morning and I took my prenatals on an empty stomach. Wow…..I thought I was going to throw up all over my desk. I feel better now that I ate breakfast but I still have “fishy brups”. My cramps have stopped and thankfully there’s no spotting. I think I may have avoided getting AF a second week in row, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Pam….I had to spend $341 to get my window fixed last week. But I can’t drive around without a window, so it’s not like I had any choice.

AnneElise….from everything I’ve heard cramping is really common in the beginning. But I hope it goes away soon.
