I walked a total of 60 minutes outside this morning. 10 minutes with my dog Leo and 50 minutes with hubbie. He is actually continuing to walk with me! I hope he keeps it up. I'm not going as far when I walk with him or at the speed I would normally walk but for now that's okay because I want him to stick with it and feel the difference. My joints could use some relief and I'm still losing the weight so I figure as long as I'm moving that's what counts. Can't wait to get my bike ready for riding too. Cool with a brisk wind today her in Minnesota. Snow is almost gone and we did not get the new storm they predicted. Ugly outside and spring won't be in full bloom until late May I would imagine.

We are going to see the movie Lincoln Lawyer this afternoon. Hubbie and I have read that series of books and enjoy the character so we'll see how the movie does with the story line of the book. I'm going to pop my own popcorn and smuggle it into the theater in a big purse so I don't get tempted by the movie popcorn and butter.

    Have a nice day!

    Hello to April!

Things are crazy at work, so I took advantage of the weekend to do the 5 Mile Fat Burning both yesterday and today. Did anyone get pranked for April Fools Day? (None on me, nor did I play any.)

Hope you're all off to a great start for your April goals.

Worked on exercise minutes tonight by doing 50 minutes of aerobic dance with Richard Simmon's Disco Fever. It still makes me laugh while I work out. He's unique and theatrical but the moves and pace were just right for me today.

A little over on calories due to eating an avocado for lunch, egg mcmuffin for breakfast (running late) and too much rice for dinner. Oh well :ohwell:

Now I'm enjoying a glass of wine :drinker: Have a nice night!

Hi Everyone! I had a late night so I didn't get any walking in today. I have to take my Mom to an appt in the morning so I may not get any walking in at lunch but I may go after work if a friend will go with me. If not, I'll try to get in a walk tomorrow evening at home. I did get in 20 more minutes with my weights yesterday. I'm a little sore from the Billy Blanks dvd and the weights but not too bad. I need to keep it up.

    See you all tomorrow!
  • Hi

As for my April goal I decided to keep it at 50 but I'm going to shoot for more. and I did like the Idea of logging in hours doing other activities. hope everyones having a great week.... keep moving

Not a great day at work so I went back to my emotional eating habit of poor choices at dinner. I was very conscious of the decision I made but thought what the heck! I went to get hair cut and hubbie picked up chicken wings and hojos at my request from Wing Joint. They were so good but so bad for the eating plan. Now I'm enjoying another glass of wine before bed. Tomorrow is another day and I WILL make better choices. No exercise today but I'm glad all of you were diligent! Night Night!:flowerforyou:

I've been under the weather the last few days and so, other than my walking at work, I haven't done any exercise. I hope I feel better soon! I hate being sick!

Welcome to the group Maynard. We're glad you are joining us.

WTG Teresa! You keep us all motivated.

Jenny, I think we all go through periods where we just need a little stress break. Just stay strong and keep your goals in mind. I know that coming here every day keeps me from straying for too long.

Kathy I hope you feel better soon. Everyone here is coming down with the change of weather colds. So far I've been lucky and avoided it but lady at work has it bad and she passes a lot of paperwork to me! :noway:

I don't know why I"m so tired tonight but I"m taking the evening off. I did get my 2 miles in at lunch. The park was crowded today, I forgot all the kids are out of school for spring break.

Only 2 more days till the weekend! YAY!

Well I'm not reporting any exercise today either. Work was very busy and distracting then I came home and had to pack for a conference I'm going to tomorrow eve. I also had to talk to my brother and sister about family issues then I needed to relax. I will be at the Mall of America tomorrow and Friday so I will walk quite a bit there. The place is huge! I'll take my walking shoes with me. May be logging in by my app if I can't get wireless on my laptop at the hotel. So if you don't hear from me I'll be back on Saturday. Have a good couple of days.

Welcome Maynard! WTG Teresa and thanks for the encouragement Sandy!

But,,,, instead I fixed a fast taco and popped a DVD in and went 4 miles, and even tried jogging through most of it instead..... It;s amazing how a good work out can change your mood and cravings really fast.... now I'm feeling great and ready to go to bed....
have a great day tomorrow all. It's suppost to rain here :grumble:

    Hello Walkers!!

I know how you feel Constance / I was so exhausted the other day and went for my walk any way and then I was craving food last Night and decided to take 2 tbs of almond butter & I got through it. (THANk Goodness!) I hate times like that, I feel like Oh sh----i-t hear it comes I'm falling off the wagon. But thank goodness it passed. And luckly It was time for bed :blushing:

Today I walked the treadmill 3 miles for 1 hour and I did my 30 minutes of weight training. Soon I'll be cleaning for 4 hours. Then I'll be done for the day.

Jenny! Sounds like you have a lot going on.. Take Care & Have a Nice walk at the Mall
Sandara.. Same here.. coming on here keeps me on track too

Tomorrow is Friday! YAY! I can't wait for the weekend. I did my 2 miles thru the park today at lunch. I'm really enoying my walks there. It's a winding path with little bridges & lots of plants & flowers. It gives me a nice break from sitting all day too. There's a lookout deck that has a steep path that I might try tackling one day next week. We'll see.

Keep on walking everybody and have a happy friday!

    Hi everyone.

I'm finally feeling better and am going to get back to trying some new workouts today. Gonna do one of the 10-Minute Carb Burner routines on Netflix.

Work is going well but I do wish it would warm up a bit.

I'll be working a couple of hours tomorrow since I came home sick on Monday. It's supposed to be nice in the morning--I hope so.

    have a good day, all!

I got a 2 mile walk in outside today with the dog. Wish the sun would start shining! So tired of the cold weather. Noticed alot of flowers poking through so it will start to feel springy soon. Anxious to start gardening.

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend.

I'm at my conference but skipping one of the sessions due to disappointment and boredom at the content so far. Too much sitting too. Tonight we go to the Mall of America for dinner and I plan to move! I look forward to getting home and back on track with a consistent exercise routine and healthy eating.

Glad to see you are all doing so well and staying on track. Nice job Teresa and Constance with exercising and working through your cravings and fatigue. Sandy and Maynard walking the dog or walking in that park with the bridges sounds nice right now! Lucky you...

So more later and keep it up!

    Hello Walkers!
I hope everyones having a wonderful Saturday

I walked to the mall 5.8 miles, I left at 6:30 AM. I won't do that again :blushing: My body likes food in it before I start walking for 2 hours. I came home and had breakfast & then went in the yard to shovel rocks out of a garden that took 1/2 hour then Swam laps in the pool for 15 minutes. I was so exhausted I almost fell asleep on the lounge chair. It is absolutely gorgeous out, the sun is shining and it's 88 degree's .

I'm ready to take a nap So I can clean the office later.

Oh! I logged 30 minutes for my weight lifting tomorrow on my ticker. But I'll add my walk in tomorrow, since Im not positive how far I'll walk.

Jenny, I knew the name sounded familiar the Mall Of America, I had to look that up online. WOW!!!!! I saw pictures, It looks like a kids play ground. It is Awesome! I would Love to go see that some day before I die. LMAO! And I thought we had a big mall. You will surely get a lot of walking in, I hope you have your HRM or Pedometer with you  . I hope your enjoying yourself!

Okay time to say good bye for now, Nap time
    Have a blessed weekend :flowerforyou:

Well I only gave myself credit for 2 miles walked at the conference. It was a lot of walking in the hotel from our room to the conference area but lots and lots of sitting in sessions. We took a shuttle to the MOA, it wasn't too far to walk but people I was with prefer the shuttle and one lady has a bad back. We didn't walk too far in the mall, maybe 1 1/2 miles total? No pedometer on so I'm estimating. Too much sitting, eating and drinking and I feel like a stuffed pig. In the morning I'm working out!

I walked 3 brisk miles with Leslie and did the resistance bands as part of the walk today. Worked up a nice sweat since I hadn't done much exercise in the past week. I feel better already. I guess your body gets use to exercise and when it doesn't get it, there is a difference! So now I need to shower and get something done around here! We may have a big spring storm headed our way. Iowa got a tornado that caused a lot of damage in a small town and this front may be heading here. Very muggy for this time of year today...

Enjoy your Sunday and take time to relax!
