Your grocery store has you pack the groceries yourself? THAT'S what would piss me off. :) I would never pack them myself...I can't imagine a store even wanting you to. Maybe things are different here in the South, but that's the store's obligation. Every once in a blue moon you see a customer packing them, but you also usually see other folks looking on and wondering why. Heck, it throws the store into a tizzy if you tell 'em you can wheel the buggy out to the car yourself.

Wow, apparently the south has it WAY too good lol. No store in my city packs your groceries for you, unless maybe you're paying for bags and they're located behind the register (yes, we pay for plastic bags)... what, do you not have arms to do it yourself? What's next? Laziness to the point where groceries are just delivered to your house & you don't have to get off the sofa? Oh wait...

Yeah this was a huge culture shock when I moved to Buffalo. Aisles are narrower, cashiers are more rude, no baggers, customer service never knows what's going on, stock guys run away from you when they see you coming to ask a question, have to carry groceries to the car myself (which kinda sucks when it's a freakin' snow storm and you've got kids to strap in, etc).....totally miss The South. UGH!

i hate it when car drivers are abusive and hateful towards cyclists... cyclists are doing the right thing for the environment, for their health, for clogged up traffic in cities, and idiots have to have a go at them.

i am both a driver and a cyclist, and i learnt virtually everything i should know about driving, by riding my bike on roads alongside idiot drivers. And taxi drivers are the worst.

I have no problem with cyclists as long as they're following the rules, too....so here's one of mine.

Lived in a college town, and this one ALWAYS happened. Pedestrians have the right of way in a crosswalk, and a bicyclist is supposed to stop (rules down there?) Well 90% of the time they plow through the pedestrians, or they come out of the bike lane, into traffic, weaving in and out of cars, to then cut back across to the bike lane once they've passed the intersection. Meantime cars are jamming brakes, people are diving out of the way/falling into nearby cars..... I mean they literally feel like they can do whatever they want on the bikes...that cars owe the entire road to them and pedestrians walking deserve to get hit by them if they have the audacity to be walking in the right-of-way.

And in this town they have really wide bike lanes (Gainesville, FL) -- it was voted one of the more bike-friendly cities one year. But a lot of them just cut across everywhere and through traffic, against traffic...it's a mess.

I hate it when my co-workers sit around eating cake, while talking about all the diet pills they take to lose weight, but yet they act like I'm an alien for eating healthy. I made a big yummy salad for dinner the other day at work, and they acted like I was such a weirdo. They kept saying "That's all you're eating?!?" IT WAS A HUGE SALAD! What happened to being supportive of someone's decisions to eat healthy? They get frustrated with me when I don't order out with them or get involved in all their conversations about junk food and baking.
  • It REALLY pisses me off when someone wears their sunglasses inside! YOU are not so cool and important not to make eye contact with me, you *kitten*!

Hey now...I do this. Not to look cool, but because 1) my sunglasses are prescription and I can't see a lick without them and 2) the florescent lighting hurts my eyes (probably because I wear my sunglasses 24/7.)
    [/quote]

I agree i have a medical condition that affects my eyes so lights can be really painful. Sorry if it seems rude but what choice do i have, turn off all the lights or pull the curtains everywhere i go???

Hey those of you who get ticked off about supposedly fit people with disabled stickers - when my husband was very sick I had a disabled sticker, but he/I didn't look disabled. I have been on the other end of 'disabled parking space rage' by people who thought I didn't look disabled enough. Well I only parked there when I had my husband with me, he didn't walk with a cane but he had brain tumours which affected his mobility.

Well, they won't be giving me horrible looks any more because now he is deceased, but just remember that sometimes the disability is invisible.

When people are closed minded and start calling names or insulting to try to get their point across. Really? That, to me, just shows how ignorant that person is themselves.

when people get offended by silly things like if I have a bad word on my shirt.
and no I dont really care if your kids see the bad word, because if you are teaching them right them seeing the word F**** is not going to make them start cussing like sailors

People who wear shirts with words like the F-word on them. Is there really a need for that? Why? Can't you get your point across by using your vocabulary and intellect? Nevermind children, I would be embarrassed/offended if my grandma saw that! :embarassed:

it has nothing to do with my point of view, last I heard its a free country and if your grandma can not handle it also not my problem.Mabey if people concentrated more on real problems that things people wear the world would be a slightly better placeIMHO

Lol, if people were a little more considerate, the world would be a better place. What's the point of wearing a tshirt with swear words on it? What does that accomplish, exactly?? I'm all for humourous (including sexual or crude!) shirts, but blatant rudeness gives the air of unintelligence & incompetence - not a good look for anyone! :frown:

I agree. I used to swear, but don't anymore...but just take a step back and listen to other people when they swear, especially people you don't know. Those people may be the smartest people in the world, but (at least in my opinion) when they swear, it makes them sound uneducated.
Not trying to offend anyone or start anything, this is just my opinion. And...everyone has their own opinion, and as someone pointed our earlier, it's a free country.

    However, to each their own.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but it's simply against the law to ride a bicycle on the sidewalk. It's a vehicle, so it's supposed to be driven on the road.

    Yes they do in Florida....
    Sidewalk riding
    (Section 316.2065(10) and (11), F.S.)

A person propelling a vehicle by human power upon and along a sidewalk, or across a roadway upon and along a crosswalk, has all the rights and duties applicable to a pedestrian under the same circumstances.

The girl that sits across the room is talking to her friends/family on the phone at work sooo loud that I can't talk to my accounts on the phone because I can't hear them. And then she complains that everyone else is too loud.. WTF?

ohhhh I so have one of those in my office!

The coworker that calls her mommy, daddy, or husband every morning to report that Timmy pooped in the toilet. While we're busy as hell.
