    Thank you both.. I am going today and going with the 10 session punch card and go two times a week and still do my regular workouts at the gym I currently go to.


    @Cheri0627 - I've taken the intro class and I'm pretty sure I will like it b/c I used to do a few of these exercises on my own but never in the combination like crossfit. (I am circuit training on my own now but having a group to train with is going to be great!)

    @XFitMojoMom - Get well soon and thanks for this thread!

    Tues 8/23:
    30 minutes of Plyometrics

    then

    Death by Push-ups (strict)
    1 rep in the first minute, 2 rep in the second minute, 3 reps in the third minute, etc. Go until you can't finish the reps for that minute.
    I completed 9 reps/minute.

    WOD 8/24

    Warmup
    AMRAP 10
    * lunge down
    * jump over parallelettes/box jumps back
    * side steps down
    * 20 situps
    * 2 laps

    Workout
    AMRAP 20
    * 5 jumping lunges (per legs)
    * 5 leg lifts
    * 5 box jumps
    * 10 goblet squats (4 rounds with the 16Kg KB, 2 with the 12Kg)
    * 5 pushups
    * 2 laps

    Warmdown
    :30/:10 x8
    squats, resting in the down position

    Lots of little notes today:

    * For the first time I realized I can do 20 situps in a row (at a pretty good clip) without a problem
    * I'm getting a lot faster at my lunges
    * I was trying to do unmodified pushups every round, I did 2 in the first 5 rounds, and 3 in the last round.
    * I did have to rest while doing the goblet squats with the 16Kg KB, but I was resting in the down position. (My trainer pointed this out.)
    * When I was using 12Kg, I didn't have to rest at all.
    * I decided to only do one lap instead of 2 in the workout because I thought the other stuff was more important, and I wanted to do more. Since I can't run, it takes quite a bit longer for me to walk.

    I really liked this workout a lot. It was fun, and I felt like I was really doing well.

    I saw this too!! I think Cameron Diaz looks great, her arms are a LITTLE too veiny for my taste though. LOL

    My calves are BURNING today!

    First we did strength which was power cleans, I love these!!! 5-5-3-3-1 I did 65, 65, 75, 75, 80 (PR, yahoo!)

    Then we did 5 rounds of:

    40 double unders or 120 regular jump ropes (which I did, double unders are too much for me)
    30 box jumps (18")
    20 kettlebell swings (30#)

    I finished in 20:45.

    I was 30 seconds slower since my last time. I am ok with this since last time I was using the thickest band. Today I was using a lower resistance band. So its a win in my book. One day I will not need bands, I am determined :-)

    My first class yesterday consisted of this:

    3 Rounds
    400 M Run
    20 x KB or DB Snatches
    15 x Chest to Bar Pull Ups

    Felt it bad this morning, I hate living on the third floor!!!!

    I was 30 seconds slower since my last time. I am ok with this since last time I was using the thickest band. Today I was using a lower resistance band. So its a win in my book. One day I will not need bands, I am determined :-)

    Awesome on the pullup improvement!!! I, too, am determined that some day I will be able to do pullups on my own. Right now, I still struggle with the second thickest band pretty badly.

    Awesome on the pullup improvement!!! I, too, am determined that some day I will be able to do pullups on my own. Right now, I still struggle with the second thickest band pretty badly.

    Honestly you're better off doing deadhang pullups with a band (as in, use a band to support one knee and use your arms/shoulders to lift you up, no movement in your lower body at all) than kipping pullups.

    4 2/3 is what I completed ... I was the only one who got the Rx'd work out in the newbie class. Crossing my fingers that we can hit snatches Friday so I can complete Rx'd WODS everyday!

    At least yours allows bands! I just received my bands and they are "banned" from my box. I'm going to get a ceiling mount pull up bar so I can start practicing and finally get a damned pull up. The bane of my crossfit life... because any WOD with pull ups (or muscle ups/ring dips) I can't Rx

    10 wall climbs (SUPER hard!)
    10 knees to chest (I can't do toes to bar)
    20 box jumps (20")

    Took me 29:15.... Shoulders are on fire and we've got thrusters tomorrow! Arg!

    10 Thruster (50#)
    5 Rounds of Cindy (5 pullups, 10 Pushups, 15 Squats)
    10 Clean & Jerk (50#)
    5 Rounds of Cindy (5 Pullups, 10 Pushups, 15 Squats)
    10 SDHP (50#)

    15:00 on the dot.

    Then we did relay races (sprints) with the sled with 35# plates, 100m x 2.
    My hammies are killing from this!

    Been training some girls at our box for their first 5K. SO proud of them. Everyone finished.

    My time was 24:36. Good enough for 2nd place in my age group. Hoping I'll get back down to a sub-24 soon.

    modified WOD due to left arm soreness from car accident

    10 minute warm up on stationary bike

    2 min bike
    25 air squats
    20 back extensions
    15 each side oblique (I think?) V-sits
    We did not time anything. Just wanted to get some movement in and see how my arm felt.

    20 KB swings with 44# bell (Rx was 35# ;)
    7 handstand pushups (instead of doing box pushups I was told I could do handstands against the wall, lock elbows and hold)
    20 goblet squats with 44# KB (Rx was just air squats)
    7 toes to bar (I was able to do some, but the rest were knees to chest)

    Time: 21:39

    This was a WOD of a person but I forgot the name!

    Way to above RX Kerri! I would never pick doing goblet squats over air squats, let alone 44# ones.

    Do 3 burpees on the minute every minute = 87 burpees!! Yow.

    Finished in 29:59 to avoid another 3 burpees. LOL

    RX was 45# for women, I did 30#. I just cannot get those overhead squats on a higher weight and we had to use the same weight for all.

    Worked on my assisted pull ups.

    As you know my box doesn't allow bands, but I brought mine in to practice. Can anyone tell me how they used their bands for assisted pull ups? I thought you put your foot in it, but my trainer made me wrap it around my shoulders? Is that right? Even like that I couldn't do a pull up with the thickest black band!?
