I think im doing pretty good! Ive been upping my goal up. I started at 25, but now its at 100!!! I mix it up with the bike, stairmaster, and elliptical! )

I'm a little behind my schedule, mostly due to a herniated neck disc that causes arm pain, numbness and weakness in the triceps and the finger extensor muscles.:frown: :sad: This is a very common condition for 50 year old people that spend endless hours in front of a computer. :grumble:
Non-surgical treatment should resolve the problem, but that's for the doctor to decide after he sees the MRIs and the electromyogram on Wednesday. In the meantime I stopped all strength workouts and limited the *kitten*-moving to give the arm a rest, however I'm going for a 60 min run this evening no matter what :bigsmile:0 -

I made it out for a bike ride this morning. It was cut short by the unbearable heat. I left around 930 this morning and it was already in the 90s! Gotta Love Florida Summers!

Verda I sure hope so too, thanks. A conservative treatment - A few PT sessions and a neck collar - should be enough for now.
Ran 7K in 50 minutes yesterday evening in 400m intervals followed by 100m walks. This particular format suits me very well because my HR never went over 138 bpm and I was fresh enough to concentrate on form, cadence and speed.0 -

9.8 miles on the 9th and another 4.3 miles on the 10th for a total of 41.21 so far. I was hoping to hit 50 miles by now but I've had a few busy days in a row. Definitely hitting the trail or the mall tonight to help catch up!0

Walk/jogged 1.2 miles last night. that gets me up to 10 miles done! Time to kick it up a notch!0

Got in a fast 4.5 miles on the bike this a.m in already strong wind! Jeesh! Montana has NOT been the best for weather in the last 7 months!!! We are half way through the month and I am half way to my goal!! I will try to get in more miles this evening with my furry kids!! Have a great *kitten* movin day everybody!!!0

I'm back in business after resting a few days after the Warrior Dash. Ran a hair over 4 hilly miles, and walked a hair under .6 miles to warm up and cool down. So that puts me at 41 out of 75 for the month.

I added 2.07 miles today on the bike for a grand total of 21.48 miles! I am ahead of Target for this month and it feels great!

Little bit of a guesstimate on how much I walked during the cruise. Only gained a lb and a half- so not bad there. I was really active so I'm really proud of myself! :happy:0 -
