cmg-I find if I have a workout schedule written down...I feel a lot more obligated to do it vs just saying what I plan on doing it! As for the lunches...my main food is either a "hearty" salad with meat and cheese, a deli creations by oscar mayer, a frozen meal, or a can of soup. then I supplement it with: fiber one bars, yogart, jello, baby carrots, and fruit.

Anita-thanks! and great job over the weekend

AFM-STILL under on my cal goal and I got in my last planned workout for the month today (32 min TJ 3T resistence). I have 3 days until my final weigh-in of the month, and I KNOW that I will not hit my weight goal...I am hoping that I have pushed past this plateau though...we shall see!!

    where is everybody today!?

just wanted to post a link to the thread that I started!! One of my July goals will consist of completing 30 out of 35 days (june 29th-Aug 3rd) of JM 30DS so...I thought what better way to stick with it, then to have some people join me on this challenge!! I don't know if anyone wants to start The Shred or not...but I thought that's I'd put it out here just in case :)

~Tara... I would def join your shred challenge but I am going to be on my cruise for a week or so.... I guess I could be hardcore and use that as my 5 days off..... IDK. big commitment!~! Ill think about it. Lol..

~CMG.. good luck on your week7!~!~!

~Anita.... going over ONE day during the weekend is a given for me!~! Lol.. you did great!

AFM, going to the gym for real this morning. My body is SO sore. Yesterday we played volleyball for a good 2 hours, and before that I did a little boxing cuircut I made up. It was pretty cool and it went by extra fast and at the end of 20 min my arms were completely at muscle failure. And I have finally got myself to where I can do the right ab workout and feel it the next day. My abs were never sore, a few of you gave me tips (a few months ago i think) on how to make sure I was doing the moves right, and I FINALLY GOT IT!~! So thank you!~! This week is crunch time for my Friendly WI competition. My friend Rachael is .3 of a pound ahead of me! I can do this!~!~

Happy monday (i totally forgot what day it was) hehe!~!~!~!

    Yeah where is everyone today?
Tara, I don't think I can do the 30DS with you, on account of my 30th next month which is turning into at least one week of celebrations. Haha. But awesome that you are doing it and I will be here supporting you all the way.
Kan- Good luck with the wii comp! And man you are going to be feeling awesome and hot for your cruise! How exciting! Where is the cruise?
AFM- It has been cold again today and I have drunk about a million cups of tea in an effort to warm up. Feeling really sore from my workout on Saturday too! Today I feel like I have eaten heaps, but I guess they have been good chioces because the calories aren't that high at all (think because the soup at lunch is so low).
    That's all. Take care ladies!

    Good Morning All!!

Sorry I have been so MIA this weekend, but I had my race on Saturday and then I had a surprise party to celebrate my husband finishing his master's. This included his sister flying in without his knowledge, which has meant very little time for MFP. I am super excited for Friday, since its July 1st which means I will get to weigh-in! I don't know what to expect because I have had such an up and down month, but whatever it is I will take it and make the next time better!

I am trying to decide if I should do a 4th of July 5k. I want to but I have an obstacle course race on July 9th and it might be too much. But the obstacle course race is 30 obstacles in a distance of less than 1/2 a mile, so I am not exactly sure if a 5k on the 4th will really impact the outcome that much. So I have a little bit of time to decide and a week to feel ready for whatever my decision is.

Gotta get back to work, but I will attempt to update later this afternoon. Only a few more days!

anita: i love soups for dinner. winter? are you in new zealand?

kan: ive joined tara's thread as i couldnt keep up with all the others! when they get busy i just get sidetracked! not long to your vacation! we say holiday here, so vacation sounds quite weird! lol

tara: i think we do the shred pretty much the same days! so would be nice to keep a check on each other! albeit my altered version! lol!

Happy Monday Lovelies!! I’m hoping to catch up where I left off.

Meag – looks like you are back on track!! So glad to see you like this!! My how we’ve missed you! We’re gonna kill this one meal at a time…haha!

Mandy – I know exactly how you feel! Some days I have the willpower and other days I just can’t wrap my mind around the whole process. I know the decisions that I should be making and why I want to make them but on bad days, I throw it all by the wayside and do my own thing. Knowing that mindset is simply destructive behavior. I tend to have an all or nothing attitude and my days get laid out like that. If I make one bad choice then it tends to be downhill for the remainder of the day rather than thinking it was simply one bad choice so there is no need to ruin the whole day. That never tends to be the case though. I have yet to step on the scale and after my weekend, I am not so sure that I want to even want to step on the scale in the near future. I ended up having McDonald’s breakfast this morning on my way into work. The kids and I had to be up early and into work early and my weekend was so busy that I didn’t have time to prepare. I’m hoping that I can still make the month count. We can do it girly!!

Ashley – great job reaching ONEderland!!

Megan – great job on your 5K!! That’s awesome!!

Kandace – you shouldn’t have stepped on the scale again so soon! Your body is constantly fluctuating and hanging onto water and different nutrients. I am sure you will do amazing during your next “scheduled” weigh in!! But sounds like you are doing great with your workouts!! The volleyball sounds like a fun workout!! Your cruise sounds like it will be lovely also!! I took my workout clothes with me on my cruise in January but never put them to use. Perhaps I will give it a try again next January.

Cmg – I eat Lean Cuisines for lunch. I know they are packed with sodium but I am horrible at packing lunches and such. I try to keep at least 2 at work so that I have options. I find that if I don’t have options then I am more likely to eat out.

Tara – your challenge sounds killer!! I wish I could join you on that venture because I know I could definitely use it but I don’t think that I could commit that much to it and that would just make me feel as though I’m failing. But I wish you the best of luck girly and have no doubt that you will kick *kitten*!!!

AFM…I was doing pretty good with my food this weekend until I went out to dinner with my mom…both Friday and Saturday nights. I think I will definitely be able to get my food in check once she moves to Arizona cause it will just be me and the kids. I had a very busy weekend. And although I didn’t get actual workouts in, I washed my car myself on Saturday and the kids had a birthday party at one of those indoor bounce house places so my son pretty much dragged me on the big slide. We had to climb the stairs and I pretty much had to carry him up there and then slide down. I knew that once he got started, he wasn’t gonna stop any time soon. It was a good workout though and we had a lot of fun. Hoping to get a ‘real’ workout in tonight. I’m thinking YBB. Hope everyone’s weeks are off to a great start!!

    Morning Ladies!
Kan- Your cruise sounds divine!! And great that you will be doing it without the booze, congrats in advance for that. I bet you will save loads and you won’t be bloated so you will be able to rock your resort and pool side outfits!! Yeeaaaoooowww!!
Maria- Yeah I am in NZ. I know it’s really lame that I keep complaining about the cold- last week it was warmer here than in London!
Bethany- I know what you mean about making one bad food choice and then thinking the day is blown now so might as well keep eating junk. I especially do that when I am hung over, so it’s double bad. Think I need to take a leaf out of Kan’s book and stop drinking. Anyways, sounds like you had a good weekend getting fun kinds of exercise in here and there.
Tara- Looks like your 30DS thread is gaining popularity! I’ll be interested to see how you all go, maybe I’ll give it a go if I don’t get off this plateau.
AFM- No news! Just a quick catch up before I get to work.

Anita-LOL I feelya on the 30th!! I had mine last month...and don't worry...these lovely ladies won't kickya out of the group when you hit the big 3-0! Thanks for the support (ahead of time) I will def need it!! Too bad about the cold...it has been about 105-110 here lately! p.s. I am doing this to hopefully break MY plateau...I'll letcha know how it goes!

Kan-way to check out the gym on the boat...I did tha same at my hotels for my August trip!! And gotta love the sexying it up!! LOL

Megan-I think that you should go for it!! The 5K is first so the obstacle run won't affect those results, and the obstacle run is more for fun (I'm assuming anyways) so get 'er done!! can't wait to see how your WI in goes on the 1st...only 3 days left and you finished that challenge! WTG! :drinker:

Mariam-I am totally in for the shred...starting on Wed...let's do it!

Bethany-thanks girl!! And have fun with YBB!!

AFM-today was rest day, but I got in my 10min resistence band stretch, and my eating schedule is a lil off, since I called in to work for the next 2 nights since my car decided to die on me!! DAMN!:grumble: but I will be under cals...no matter what, and I am hoping the change of routine for the next 2 days doesn't throw my WI off on Wed...although with this plateau...who knows!!:blushing:

~Tara... again, I LOVE your bathing suit. The colors are awesome and its such a cute style, I dont think Ive ever found a tankini that looked so stylish!. I hope your car finds the strength to come back to life. I am pretty fortunate with my car, Its a 2005 and never even thought about doing anything fishy yet... and the poor girl has over 70000 miles. I dont think your on much of a plateau, I just think you have lost SOO MUCH that your body wants to hold onto those last few pounds that you hate so much. Lol. Your doing great!

~Mariam.. Ill try to say Holiday.lol.... a good amount of MFP friends say holiday and that sounds weird to me cuz the Holidays are Thanksgiving Christmas and New Years. lol. Good Job on 30DS!~!~!

    ~Anitia.... Thanks... :blushing:

~Guam... I know I know I know!~! I should not have stepped on the scale. I want to write so many BUTS and explain why it was ok, but your right... thanks for calling me on my bullcrap.... No scale to friday. OMG FRIDAY. So close yet so far.

AFM..... well after telling Guam that I am not going to step on the scale til Friday I realized that my Competition with Rachael is over on Friday. She is ahead of me by almost half a pound. The prize is a 50 Euro gift certificate to The New Yorker and I NEED TO WIN!~!~! I need cruise clothes and its crunch time!~!~!~! I think that I sabotaged myself by slacking on shred. I have been working out like a crazy person, Turbo Kick, Spin 3 times a week and a boxing circuit I have been doing. I just feel like I should have done more!~! I am just freakin out cuz the competition is almost over and I am nervous. Im off to BibileStudy :drinker: hehe...... feed the soul, fuel the body.... eh, it sounded good in my head. LOL>

Kan-thanks girl!! My mom found my suit at Kohls I think?! I wanted a 2 piece with lil boy shorts for the bottom, and a strapless top....couldn't believe that she found it!! As for my "plateau"...I just call it that since I haven't even lost 1lb in 3 weeks!! I am hoping for a decent loss this week so I can at least say that I lost 3lbs for the month...we shall see??? I just know that I am not finished losing...and I WILL get to my goal...no matter what!! Wishing you the best success for your WI on Fri...keep doin what you are doin...and you will for sure hit it out of the park!

Morning ladies! Been super duper busy with work and life lately and had an absolutely fabulous weekend, so I have been somewhat MIA. Looks like the trend will continue but I'm going to do my best to kick it around here when I can...

T- Best of luck with shred lady! I know you're going to rock it  I should really check out some of these workouts one day. I've still never once done an exercise video in my life and it seems like so many people just love them... What am I missing here? lol

Anita - Happy early birthday (in case I miss it) - I always make my birthday a week-long festivity. No shame in that. They only come around once a year and such a good excuse for parties, socializing, and celebrating YOU! And don't worry about eating "heaps" of healthy food. That's how I do it every day! Just check out my diary for a good sampling  Although today's race day, so probably not the best example...

EEEP! Race day today! 10K race at 730pm... And I am soooo under-trained and under-prepared. I haven't even had time to THINK about it! Did some weights and a little cardio at the gym last night but it was a half-assed workout for sure. Today I've got my race, then runs on Wed/Thurs with another weights session, rest on Friday (Canada Day!!) and then two more runs Sat and Sun. Sun we are leaving for our 4 days camping trip and I am working on figuring out how to maintain my 1/2 training schedule while we're gone. Any suggestions on weight training whilst camping in the woods? I may just try my hand at some killer calisthenics until I totally drop... And lots and lots of stretching, of course!

Anyway I really have to get to work. Hope ya'll have a great day today... Sorry I couldn't get around to more of your posts. You're all doing fab, per usual! Just a few more days and then we all get to start fresh so do your best until Friday but don't beat yourselves up. A blank slate is just around the corner!

    Much love

Meag-DVDs are a great alternative to the gym...not only do they save you money, but I know that I am more likely to do a workout if I can do it from home vs having to get ready to go to the gym!! There are hundreds of diff kinds (cardio, boxing/kickboxing, yoga, pilates, stretching, strength, circuit training, and even walking DVDs!) As for the camping and stregth...go back to the basics, squats, lunges, pushups, situps, you can even lift fire logs!! You will do great! goodluck on your 10k too!

AFM-my final WI is tomorrow...and I am nervous as always!!! eeeeep!!!! Today is my rest day, but I got in my 10min stretch again, and I will be doing the yardwork in un momento for an extra calorie burn!! It should be underestimated burn since it is 105 degrees outside right now!! only 2 day sleft of the month peeps!! have you got your July goals picked out yet??? I do!!

    Hello there Lovelies!

Anita – I really need to work on losing that whole all-or-nothing mentality!! Perhaps that could be one of my NSV goals for July. :grumble:

Kandace – Friday is still days away and you can still accomplish a ton in that time. I hope that you are able to stay away from that cake. And although you may not be able to steer clear of it forever since it sounds like it will be lurking around your house for a while, perhaps you could wait until after your WI to indulge…just a thought! But I like what your friend wrote on your status in regards to all of the things that you could be eating that equals the same amount of calories in that little sliver of cake.

Tara – perhaps this is the week that your body finally caves and realizes that you are not giving in so it might as well begin to shed those last few pounds that its holding onto!! I am excited to see the results of your WI this week. And tonight is the big meet and greet with the bf and the kiddos. My friend and her family were going to join us also but we couldn’t get tickets for them. Actually I barely scored tickets for the 4 of us. But like everything else, I believe that everything happens for a reason. I am super nervous but super excited too!!

Meag – I think your race tonight will be great for you!! It will give you the opportunity to get your mind back into racing and running…just where it needs to be!! And although you are not physically prepared, I am sure you will still manage to kill it!! Can’t wait to hear your results. And I’m jealous of the camping trip. The kids and I haven’t been in a couple of years but hopefully we can venture out sometime this summer. But most importantly, have fun with the race, the runs, and the camping trip.

AFM…my son has had a fever of around 101 since last night so I stayed home with the kids. But my daughter had testing for a special school program yesterday and today so we still had to venture back down to where we used to live. I am totally enjoying having the day with my kids. I think this is the first day that I have stayed home since we have moved. Food has been so-so today. I don’t think I will be finishing the month strong but I also don’t think that I will be finishing the month horribly. I think my head is slowly getting to where I need it to be and I am already thinking about July goals. The kiddos and I are taking the bf to an Angels baseball game tonight which will be a lil meet and greet for them. I am hoping that all goes well!! Hope everyone has a great day!!

Bethany-thanks girl!! I sure hope that you are right...of course I took a lil peek at the scale today, and if it stays where it's at, I should have at least a lil loss tomorrow!! *finger's crossed* Good luck with the meet-n-greet....I bet it will go great, and it will be such a relief when it is finally just done! way to take the next step :) keep me posted!

AFM-Like I said earlier...today was my rest day, but I did get in my 10min stretch and 27min of yardwork in 106 degree heat!! WAY TOO HOT!!!! gonna have to start doin it early morning now I guess!! yikes!

Morning ladies and happy hump day! June 29th already... where does the time go!?!?

Looks like we're only up to 12 pages this month. I guess the warmer weather is keeping folks offline and in the sun. Who can blame them! I know we've been busy though, myself included. I've hardly had time for any updates at all. Either way - As long as we're sticking to our personal goals, maintaining our priorities, and keeping health and fitness in our sights, I think we're doing damn well.

T- Good luck on your final weigh in. You always seem to rock it. Try not to focus so hard on the numbers... I know it's near impossible but you have been kicking *kitten* and maybe strength and toning should be your next major focus. Looking forward to seeing your results either way

Bethany - Thank you as always  The race definitely was great for me - mentally and physically. Sounds like you had a STELLAR date with the kids/boy planned - LOVE BASEBALL GAMES! Hope you four had a fabulous time and that the kids really enjoyed pal'ing around with the new addition  I am sooooo pumped about camping this weekend, I cannot even express it. You guys should plan a little trip, or even just a local one night camp-out. As kids we used to always love camping in the yard. It's supreme-lame but we could always make our own fun. Just gotta do whatever you can make work (financially and otherwise). Hope your little guy is feeling better...

Race results - I PR'ed that b*tch, ladies!!! :drinker:  :drinker:

Chip time: 01:00.30 (previous PR (01:01.01) - Overall pace 9:47

Felt damnnnn good. I ran really hard, negative split my race (first 5K in 30:45), and for the last 2K just went balls to the walls, all out, and left absolutely everything on the road. I have never been so determined in my life. I just WANTED it soooo bad.

Hope we're all feeling the same desire today. Just get it done!!

    OMG~!~! WED!.....

~Meag.. congrats on your race!.... see, I knew you would do great! You rock!

~Tara... be careful out there in that heat!.. drink water, wear sunblock!@!~!~! Good Luck with you WI, you dont need it though!~!

~Bethany... I am trying to stay away from the cake. I did have a BITE.. but thats all. lol. Sometimes its not as hard but other times its just like IMPOSSIBLE to stay away. It kind of scares me actually cuz thats how I feel about alcohol, and we all know that didnt work out well for me. So I need to practice self control in ALL aspects of my life... practice practice practice!~!~! Have fun at your game tonight!~!~! I too believe that everything happens for a reason, and Im pretty sure this ones going to go well!~!~!

AFM.... Nervous about WI on friday. I know I have done everything I could this month. I have REALLY stepped up my work outs and I have been doing very well with my food. I dont think I was over much at all, and if I was it was my birthday or only a few cals. The thing that bothers me though is that for the last two weeks I have been very naucious (sp?)... I am ok today which is weird cuz I didnt have time to eat much at all so I should be starving. (Instead I made a choc protein shake so I dont get crazy hungry and binge) But I would think that the day I WOULD have an upset stomach is the day I didnt eat much. But for some reason I was naucious all the other days that I was eating ok. I just dont get it. I havent changed much of what I am eating, or taken any dif meds... I have been working out much more so maybe I need to up the protein. IDK. Maybe thats why I am so nervous about WI, i dont feel like I have lost anything cuz my stomach has been sick half the month. Well I guess I can only hope that it stays away now and wait to see what happens with the scale on Friday!

KanCrav: i'm sure your going to do fine with your WI. Also remember that you have accomplished alot this month and you should be proud of what you have done!

Meag: Great job on your race!!! way to PR!!!!!!! I think this is just want you needed to pull yourself out of the slump that you were in!! Way to go and keep up the great work!!!!!

Tjradd: You'll be fine at your final WI just remember all that you have accomplished this month and the goals that you have already completed! Also I like the idea of planning my workouts ahead of time but instead of the month i'm going to plan them weekly because with my work schedule i never know what I will be working till the week of.

Guam: I hope that your son's fever went down and that you'll had a spectular time at the game!

ASM: Yesterday, I completed W7D2 of C25K, just one more day left to completed before I started W8D1. I never I would come this far and this is coming from the girl that got winded walking up a couple flights of stairs who is now running for at least 25 mins at a time! All that I need to work on now is quickening my pace just a little. Also I started 30DS 3 days ago and man is it killer! All in all my june goals have pretty much been met. I do have another question for everyone (sorry i like playing the questin game lol) What is your favorite time of the day to workout? Me, I like doing the shred in the morning and running in the evening when it has cooled down alot.

Happy Hump day lovelies!! I am back to the grind today!!

Tara – I am anxiously awaiting your results!! You are so inspiring!! You continually keep me in awe that you are always able to stay on task without being distracted by the things life throws at you. Keep it up girly!! And the meet and greet last night went fabulous!! So glad that we all survived it!!

Meag – great job PRing at the race girly!! :drinker: I knew you would kill it!! And I am definitely gonna look into camping with the kiddos. I think a weekend away would be great for us. We no longer have a yard so we can’t campout like that but don’t think I haven’t thought of that either.

Kandace – I know exactly what you mean!! I find that when I am tired  and run down, that’s when I am more likely to make poor choices. Like I simply don’t have the energy to fight myself so I give in to temptation even though I know its not what my body needs. Lately I have been attempting to listen to my body when I do decide to indulge in a piece of cake. I ask myself if I am truly enjoying the cake or if I am forcing myself to eat the cake. If its being forced then I throw the cake away cause there is no reason to waste calories on something that I am not even enjoying in the first place. And sorry to hear about your nausea!! Hopefully that will come to an end shortly!!

Cmg – great job sticking with C25K!! :drinker: Personally, I love working out in the morning. Getting your blood flowing and your heart pumping like that is a great way to start the day. And then I can also figure out my food calories for the day a little better. However, I am not a morning person so that rarely happens.

AFM…thank you for all of the well wishes for my son. :flowerforyou: His fever reduced right after we woke up from his afternoon nap yesterday. It was the weirdest thing because he didn’t have any cold or flu symptoms, just a fever. But that also meant that we were able to make it to the game last night with the bf which was so much fun!! I didn’t want the night to end. The kids were really good and by the end of the night, they were all joking and playing around together. So glad to have that done and over with. Perfect night for our 10-month anniversary. NO…I don’t celebrate every month but it worked out for me. I am trying to plan a weekend getaway for just the bf and I for our one year anniversary :smooched: which should be great motivation to stay on task and drop this unwanted baggage that I have hanging around my body. Although I was very good at the game last night and didn’t indulge in any of the candy and snacks that I had brought for the kids.

Well lovelies, the month is slowly coming to an end. I can’t believe that half of the year is over. :noway: I hope that you have made your time count!! Begin thinking about your July goals and focus on what it will take keep your focused and on track. The past is behind us and there is nothing we can do to change it so lets learn from our mistakes and make corrections so that we can avoid them as much in the future.

Hey Ladies, I have been MIA lately because I am super busy with training and work and everything in between. I only have about 4 weeks until the race so I am just trying to not go insane.

Regarding training- I appreciate all of your good words and also concerns, but I am training with professional coaches and I am on a set schedule and I do the workouts they give me and sometimes I even take an extra rest day. I know it might seem extreme but to be doing a race that is a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride then a 13.1 mile run is very strenuous and I have to train for long periods of time in order to build my fitness. Don't worry everyone I am being healthy and eating all my exercise calories and then some hehe. I am working with professionals that have been doing this for years.

AFM- I am feeling pretty good, I don't have the time to track as diligent as I could and I basically stopped weighing myself until after the race. I am debating about even being a part of this group in July since I don't have much to bring to the table. I love reading all of your stores of success and not so great moments so I will always linger, maybe put in my 2 Cents from time to time. I am proud of all of you as well as myself on this lifelong journey.

Meag-thanks! oh, i did start adding in a ton more strength and toning in June, and this month I will be doing the shred (which is a bunch more strength and toning) and upping my protein and cutting back on my carbs a bit!! Overall, it should be a great fitness month!!! Also...I am setting my lbs lost goal pretty low (for me) in July...cuz I know that it will just be harder and harder to have big numbers lost...thanks for lookin out for me, as always! And one more CONGRATS on your awesome race...you never cease to amaze girl! :drinker:

Kan-thanks girl...I was pretty pumped with the scale today!! you will see how I fared on my post below!! I always drink a ton of water when out in that heat...after 8 years of living here...I have learned quickly to be safe while doing ANYTHING in 100+ heat!! Sorry to hear that you aren't feelin well....maybe you are right about the protein...I know that I will be upping mine this month while I am doing the shred....it just makes me feel better to get more protein while I am working out harder...maybe you are the same?! But I am sure that you will do great on your WI...and even if you don't "win" the challenge you should still look at the month as a win in general...you did great! :flowerforyou:

cmg-thanks to you too  I started the shred today...so we will be pretty close on our completion date for it too!! congrats on your running btw...I never have seen myself as much of a runner...but with all of you ladies on here doin it...I may just give it a try soon!! As far as working out...I have to do it first thing when I get up...otherwise I tend to get "too busy" with everything and would never get it done!! PLUS, once I am showered and dressed I dont like to get all sweaty and have to do it again! :blushing:

Bethany-super stoked to hear that the meeting went well!! i'd be willing to bet that it will make not only your life much easier...but also help you guys to grow even more in your relationship...CONGRATS!! Thanks for keepin up with my crazy goals and my progress...i really appreciate it...and I love your attitude about the past, present, and future!! :smooched:

Aly-I like to read your posts on how you are doing....we all have our off days, and our "rants" but that is what we are here for...ourselves and each other!! I would hate to see you leave the group due to not feeling of value to it....you are a great motivation with your tri training and completion and I would personally hate to see ya go anywhere

    AFM-
My June Goals were: lose -6.0llbs, follow my new workout plan every day, try 2 new recipes, <1400 cal avg/week, and <4 days over cals total.

My June Results: lost -3.2lbs (finally broke my plateau!), followed my WO plan to the tee (and even added in a couple of extra stretch days), tried 1/2 new recipes, made avg cals 3/4 (1366, 1753, 1398, 1319), and only went over my 4 days for the month!

~so all in all, I am pretty pleased with my results for the month!!! and i FINALLY hit my 100lbs lost! I will be posting my new July goals when the thread is up and running!! In the meantime, I will be rooting y'all on for these last 2 days!

Tara - you are being far too modest!! You fought through your plateau and after continuing to push on for weeks, you still managed a loss!! You kept with your goals while still dealing with everyday life situations (the not-so-cooperative car)!! You have lost over 100 pounds!! That is an entire person!! :noway: I had no doubt that you would kill it and in fact, you did!! Great work girly!!:drinker:

Tara- Thanks so much for your support. It is challenging keeping up with this group when there is not a while lot of time, but I will trudge on! I think I am mentally and emotionally wiped from this past weekend where I did a 110 minute run on Saturday then previewed the swim/bike for the race which was a full day of training (and 4 hours of driving). It has taken me a few days to feel back to normal. I agree with Guam you have killed it this month!

A note about myself- This weekend I was scheduled to do a practice triathlon, which would be pretty intense and in 92 degrees heat. It would be good training for my race but I have other obligations. I have been going back and forth mentally telling myself I can do this even without that day of training, Missing one day is not going to make me suffer in the race. It is just hard knowing I am so close to the race and it is scary. I have never done this much distance, and it will be hot in Wine country. I know I have the strength and I just have to dig deep. The guilt is what gets me every time.

Thanks for hearing me out peeps. I will come assess my goals tomorrow, and I know my July goals will be sparse hehe.

Bethany-thank you so much for your kind words!!! I even surprised myself with stickin too it throughout that month long plateau!! In the past...whenever I hit one, I would just give up immediately!! I guess it just goes to show you, if you want something bad enough, you're gonna get it no matter what!! Thanks again sista!!

Aly-thanks girly!! I am glad to hear that you are gonna be stickin around for a bit longer  Even if you don't have huge July goals, or can't come on and comment to everyone, everyday...we are still glad to have you!! Maybe you could just make your goal tri training and wedding planning related??? that way you are getting done what you need to, and not adding a bunch of other stuff to worry about to the mix! p.s.-NO guilt about missing one day of training...doing a Tri is suppossed to ADD to your life experiences...not take away from your other ones!! :flowerforyou:

Eeep! Last day of the month ladies! MAKE IT COUNT! :drinker:

Today's gearing up to be ri-donk-ulous. Since everything is pretty much closed tomorrow for Canada day I really have to haul *kitten* to get my errands done today plus a killer workout per my schedule. Preparing for our camping trip is really keeping me tied up. I am trying to do it as healthy as possible but that requires a LOT of prep and it's just really stressing me to the max. No time at all, it seems. I haven't even had time to see the boy since the weekend. Hoping to get out of work early today, hit up the gym, run some errands, make dinner and then just BREATHE a little finally tonight. I am desperate for a break. Seems the last few days I've just been run off my feet. Work is absolute chaos right now and I'm lucky to even get a 5 min break throughout the day. It's just really dragging me down - Cannot wait to get out of the city and just forget about it!

Aly - I totally know what you mean, and its great that you have such experienced trainers helping to coach you through your triathlon prep, but training of any kind definitely has to be catered to the individual in every case. I don't mean to nag or anything like that, just want to make sure that if your training is taking away from other parts of your life in a way that just doesn't work for you, or if it leaves you feeling absolutely drained and without anything left to give, then something's gotta change. All that said, I really do understand the drive and push to train train train and I fully support you  I know you're going to be amazing. Just don't want to see you burn out, lady!

Beth - Sounds like you've got a lot of wonderful stuff planned. Great to hear the kiddo is feeling better and that you are looking into doing something special for your anniversary. I definitely think it's important to nurture "us" and the relationships that matter even when it feels like we haven't got the time. Even when I am suuuper pressed I always trying to take some time to do something fun for me and to spend time with Tyler because it grounds me and makes me feel human again (because as you all know, I'm 50% woman and 50% machine). So do it! It pays dividends for your mental and physical health and it's just nice to celebrate with loved ones, regardless!

OK I have to get moving. Will be posting the JULY challenge tonight but I may not make the midnight cutoff. Things are going to be busy but it'll get posted sometime around 12am....
I'll leave you with a few links to pics of my race on Tuesday. I love them and couldn't wait to share them with all you wonderful gals!
