Oh and I think 4 days until...don don don...end of 60 days!!0
-
Wooohooo you go girl! Get those 3 days  Well I decided to get on the scale today after being on track for a day and I was up 3.5lbs! oopsies! haha hopefully I can make a dent in that this week, if not the definitely have it down by next week.
Well the pics came today. Well the proofs that is and I have to say it really is all about angles because in some of them my body is rocking in, others it is like WTH? Did I add 20lbs in between pictures? Where did that roll come from? It was really funny. Same outfit, same camera, same lighting. Just different angles and poses. It really helped narrow down the over 50 shots since I have to get it down to 10 but there are still a lot I am having trouble deciding since they are all so different. And some shots are just body shots which look great but I assume since I can only get 10 my husband would want ones with my face in it but maybe I am over thinking it and he really would prefer to just see my clevage. :laugh:0 -
Today's a rest day and it will be a full rest day since the rain inhibited the morning walk with my Mom. I'm okay with it though it was the perfect morning to be able to stay cuddled up in bed! So rainy and chilly here!!
You know most of that is water weight! Chug that water and (as you are!) hit those workouts. Friday won't be so bad!!
I love the update on the photos! I had to giggle aloud when you said he'd probably just want the cleavage shot! I think it's awesome that you 'put yourself out there' so to speak to do something so amazing for your husband. He has go to love them!!
My calories have been excellent...but my protein sucked the last two days. I didn't think about protein macros when I made the delish soup this weekend. I'll finish it up but I"m going to have to either chug a protein shake for a snack or make sure to load up on protein for dinner! It was in the 50s yesterday and I know I feel the DOMS alot worse when I'm not paying attention to protein.
I wish I could remember what workouts I have left but regardless the count down is on!! I'm pretty excited that I've made it this far. The whole workout thing isn't an issue but you know me...I bounce around with what workouts. So I'm pretty proud that I'm completing it. I am getting excited to start Chalean Extreme next. I may have to steal more weights because 15s is the highest I have right now (DH will just love me putting more weights behind his bar!! But it'll be worth it. I think I am going to take a full week off from 'workouts' at the end of S90 and just do long morning walks with the dogs in the AMs. (I say that now...but we'll see) I've always read that breaks between are important. But I always worry I'll be a slacker and not jump back in 100%!!
Lots to think about I guess. All I know is I am going to work 150% to get to the party and then I am going to let myself enjoy that meal with my family. After that it's back to full steam ahead to hit the holidays hard. I want to be able to enjoy those holiday meals without feeling guilty because I hadn't been 100% spot in the rest of the time. Balance, right?!0 -
Oh yes fall is upon us!! I love it. A little nip in the air but not too chilly. It is fabulous! This is my favorite time of the year! My anniversary, the Halloween, Thanksgiving, Josie's B-Day and CHRISTMAS!!! What can I say? I love the holidays and everything about them. The spirit, the gifts, the music, the costumes, the decorating, the meals, the shopping, the family get togethers EVERYTHING. I know it is stressful but I love it. I usually get all depressed after new years when it is all over haha.
Yeah things are flushing out. I weighed in today and I was down 2 pounds from yesterday so that is good. At this point I am around 1 pound up since Friday so that isn't bad. It would be great if it was all gone by Friday but I am cool with 1 pound or less. Hell I gain 1 pound when I am spot on target with my diet so gaining 1 pound from eating and drinking for 3 days straight is no sweat.
Great work on your calories. I actually have been a lot better on my protein the last 2 days and kept the carbs down so I am sure that is also helping my weigh ins.
Yeah I am excited about the pictures coming. I was overall pleased. There were more than 10 that I wanted to use so I would say it was a success. Still could use a littl work on the body but then again who can't? They should be arriving next week in time for our anniversary on the 30th.
Ohhhh I hope you do Chalean! I have thought about it but the only thing that held me back was needing more weights (and the cost). I can't wait to hear what you think because if you do end up doing it and like, I will ask for it for Christmas or something! Still thinking about some adjustable weights but I have been sidetracked and haven't needed them too much for S90 since I have the 20lbs and I use a 25lb kb for single weight things (like swing throughs and sumo squats). I could use more weights for the chest moves but at this point I can get away with what I have but I will need more soon. Dear Santa...... haha!!!0 -
Great perspective on the 1lb. Definitely worth it if you bounce right back after a fun night. I know going out to a bar where food was not served after 9pm definitely helped me this weekend. And it was nice to have a great time without allowing a few drinks to turn into a weekend binge fest. Baby steps!!
You are right...this is the best time of the year. It gets crazy and chaotic but there's nothing better than a bunch of holidays lined up to equal family time and fun. I love it. The kids are going as Batman and Spideman (these are the same costumes they choose two years ago!! They are not fair weather fans when it comes to their Super Hero Faves!!) With Gram's party, then halloween, it'll be full on holiday season before I know it. It'll be a delicate balance but I think as long as mentally we are in good places...we will come out into 2013 just as strong as we went into 2012.
That's a good idea about using the kettlebell for the one-armed moves. Smart girl you are! My Dad has a bunch of weights from his lifting days. They just definitely take up more space than those adjustable ones. So I'll be on the lookout for one too, if the price is right. I got Chalean on ebay after a lot of research. DH uses ebay alot so he can eye a better seller than I can. Heck, my P90x came from ebay too. The only thing I"ve ever noticed is 'off' about them is the nutrition books printing isn't perfect. All the info. is there, it's just not lined up exact. I have had no issues with either. I watched 75% of the Chalean's before my 30 day money back period ended to make sure everything was on the up and up. Between S90 and Chalean I spent 40 bucks (and s90 was only 8). So I felt like it was a good deal for me.
I snuck a peek on the scale and I'm glad I did. I'm down again and it has me ready to finish out this week strong. I have finished 60 days *with Tabata hell of course, why didn't I figure it would be that!!* So on to Chest and Back (I think) tomorrow. Saturdays I always do legs out of convenience so I'll probably have to move a workout around. But it's worth it to have the added weight on the weekends!!0 -
Nice! So glad the scale is being kind to you. May it continue!!! Ahh you have to tell me what seller you got your CLX from. I am always so skeptical about some ebay stuff. I live on ebay for somethings but other stuff I always worry about. Tomorrow is weigh day but I don't have high hopes. I will be happy if I am up less than a pound I am sure you will be killing it!! I can't wait to see!0
-
Another 2 pounds down????? I think you have hit your stride girl!0
-
Yes, 155.2 this morning. I'll definitely take it! It's been a hell of a work week though so I just have to keep riding high on this weigh in to carry me through the weekend. I have an alumni volleyball game at our college so that (too) helps keep me motivated. I don't know if it's the LP guidelines, the workouts, the IF but whatever it is I'll take it because none of it something that I feel crappy about!!
And .4lbs is just as you said...nada. A good weekend of fun times, a week of hitting it hard and sticking with routine and you are golden. Yeah for us having good days!! :drinker: (now let's just behave this weekend!! )
I have Chest and Back tonight. DH was up really sick last night so he got NO sleep and I got very little. :indifferent:
Things are crazy so I'm off to tackle the social work world. Have a great Friday!!!0 -
I'M BAACCCKKK!!! Thank God. So glad Josie is finally better and things are getting back to normal. I have never been so excited to get back to work in my whole life! I missed only 1 workout but my eating was actually lower than usual the 4 previous days since I basically didn't have time time put Josie down for more than a few minutes let alone make 6 separate meals. haha. So we shall see how much eating only 1300-1650 calories a day will effect my weight loss.
So now that I am back, tell me what you think caused your loss right after another big loss last week? Do you think it was from the diet changes or just random? Do tell
Speaking of telling, you must let me know who your worthy ebay seller is. I am ready to check it out :laugh:0 -
I guess I'm no help- I just checked ebay the seller was (blessedprodux) but she doesn't seem to have any current sales. And the P90x was purchased too long ago to look up. I've had that bad boy for eons. I'm sorry! Dan is obsessive about checking for 30 day guarantees and feedback from someone who actually purchased either the same product or a similar concept.
I think diet had to do with the weigh in, period. I ate what I set out to eat, cooked what fit my macros, and avoided indulging in peanut butter. I doubt I'll see a reportable loss this week- thank you TOM. But just keep at it. I have the rest of this week at the same level and then a change in diet according to LP's guidelines. It's a drop by a little bit but only for a week. It's also supposed to be a rest week from exercise but that will throw me off schedule. So I'll have to find a fair compromise between the S90 schedule and LP.
We are supposed to travel down state to help my mother in law move from Florida to southern PA. Not sure because I have the alumni volleyball game. I don't mind helping and the kids would like to see her. I just am only 30ish days away from the party and trying to stay on track is easier without any schedule modifications! Terrible. I'm sure it'll be fine. DH will keep me motivated!
I am so glad Josie is doing better. I can understand how eating less would be a result of having a sick kiddo at home! Good job on keeping on track with workouts. That in itself is a feat!!0 -
I am just liked you husband. I am constantly looking for reviews to ensure I am not getting crap. I will watch out for this though for Christmas  I am so glad you are seeing some results (finally!!). No one deserves them more. Diet seems to be the key for me too and of course it is the hardest part to control at times.
Yes I am so glad to be getting back to a routine and back to normal habits. I was starting to go stir crazy in the house and it was so hard to wake up every 3 hours during the night to give her meds. It was just like having a newborn. Just when you finally get into a nice deep sleep it is time to get up again and tend to her. :ohwell: So I am very glad things are back to normal. I am hoping I can see a little bit of a loss (more than just the .4lb I gained last week) since I have a formal event we are going to Sat night. Got myself a full length fish tail gown and I am going to rock it  This is the first time I have worn a long gown to an event in years. Usually I go with the standard cocktail dress but I saw this bad boy at Nordstroms Rack and it fit to a T so it had to be mine!!! Time to nut up and strut my stuff  I would like to be looking fine as well since that is our anniversary this weekend too.
Ok so this is random. I did the p90x ab ripper and though I certainly felt it when I was doing the moves I wasn't sore at all the next day.:grumble: Now granted I think I could have done a better job of it since when I was doing it I was having to randomly stop to play with Josie but I was still surprised there was no DOMS since I really felt it. Ok fast forward to yesterday when I am doing that stupid ball pass over in the Chest, Shoulders, and Tris video. I didn't feel as fatigued doing that but today I am freaking crippled. haha My abs are the sorest they have been in a long long time!! I like it but I can't figure it out.0 -
I tell you...the things that I think HOLY HELL I'M going to FEEL this later-I never do. I get the abs workout though. It's like you finish thinking 'how did I make it through' - only to wonder the next day if you even did it! I get it- trust me I get it. I do love ab ripper though (even without DOMS!!) because he just bangs right through them so you just put up for a bit and shut up...then it's over. That's why I kept a copy of Inanity Cardio Abs too when I lent it out. I like those quick in and out ab workouts!! Though my focus has been on the Brin ones just to make sure I'm not a Mommy belly for much longer!
The dress sounds amazing! And I'm sure you will look gorgeous. Your birthday dress was amazing so I can only imagine how fabulous you'll look this weekend! How fun! The closest I got to that was a cute crocheted back (slightly short ) summer/early fall dress I picked up at Kohl's (for a whooping $5) that I've begged DH to take me out in for a DAY date since it's just too cold to pull of after like 4pm.
I had weigh in for my family weigh in thing...and the scale was kind so keep pushing...just keep pushing. I haven't gotten a workout in since Monday though (total slacker) Talan has come down with something, Dan has something, I had a bug...seems to be a 24 hours thing but I'm sure Tarren is next. I just have to make up yesterdays workout since today's my rest day. Shouldn't be a big deal to do 2 tomorrow (though I haven't a clue what 2!!!) I just have to stay on track so I can finish strong through October.
Work ebbs and flows with business in the Mental health/social work field (though I think that's probably true with anything...) and right now it's on like Donkey Kong. And I'm pretty sure I'm still adjusting to the kids school schedules/football schedules, etc. I am feeling run down! Can't happen though. DH will start coaching basketball in a few weeks and on comes 'coaches wife' sydrome so head up and stay strong- is my mentality!!! I've been contemplating going shopping to find the 'outfit' I want to wear for Gram's party as a little incentive. But I'm not sure about the weather yet. I know I want drop enough weight by then to really worry about size changes. But I may have to start looking just to get an idea of what cute fall wear I can earn for myself!0 -
Got in the workout. Exhausted. Either I'm getting sicker or it's just lingering on the sidelines! :bigsmile:The dogs did appreciate me getting my butt out of bed though so they could get a short walk in!0
-
Ok first off....another 2 pounds girl???? Is that like 6 pounds in 3 weeks?? You are killing it!! I am so happy for you. Did you do the naked happy dance? I think you have found your sweet spot. I am going to have to check out your diary to see what magic you have been working! I assume you think your success is still the changes you have made to diet since you are still working the S90? Congrats one more time!! And way to go on that double workout! You are a beast! :flowerforyou:
Oh I hear you about work coming in waves. I was slammed yesterday which is why I didn't have a chance to get on and post.
Yes I am excited about the dress. This is it in the midnight color: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/amsale-ruched-taffeta-mermaid-gown/3287237. For once I actually think I look better than the model in something because I think it looks better with some more boobs in it. haha. For sure I will have some pics up when all is said and done. I am excited too because I decided to be daring with my accessories since I didn't want to look to "bridesmaid". So I have this large statement necklace and a similar coral colored purse : https://www.etsy.com/transaction/91465861. I love orange and blue or yellow and blue together so I went for the gusto. Can't you tell I like to dress up?
Ok so now on to my weigh in and your thoughts. So I weigh in today and I was down over 1.5lbs which of course is awesome but I know the weight is down because my calories were down this week. They calories were slightly down during the week (like about 100-200 less) and way down on Friday (only ate about 1250 calories) because of being in the ER all day. So this of course makes me think maybe I am eating too much. I love the concept of eat more to weigh less but maybe at this point if I want to lose these last 5 vanity pounds I should cut my calories back to 1600-1700. It isn't that bad since that is still quite a bit of food but oh how I will miss the 1800-1900 days. I go back and forth about (as I am sure you have done as well) about whether the last 5 pounds are worth eating less and risking gaining it all back when I up the calories to maintenance. I keep asking myself if I should I just keep going at 1800-1900 since some people think I do look leaner in my pics (I posted in my blog yesterday) and I am keeping my metabolism up (and feeling like a normal person) or should I go ahead and cut it back alittle so I can start seeing real results again. hmmmm difficult decision I know you understand. :laugh:0 -
Here's my question in response to the calorie drop- and kind of where I'm at right now too (I'll explain that in a bit!)....weren't you still see small loses at the calorie range pre-Josie gets sick? I realize they weren't 1.5+lbs down but my concern for you would be the loss would be a mix of muscle/fat, not just fat (not that you have much of that AT ALL!!) I don't diary stalk you too often (only a little! ) but you eat pretty consistently with awesome choices within that 'higher calorie range', your burns are off the charts...I'd be afraid that the decrease would start to effect your workouts and where the loses are coming from. Also, I think having a higher range is a safer bet for anyone who has the ability to regulate themselves on the weekend. Does that make sense? What I mean is, if you are consistent through not just the week but the weekend where we tend to self-sabotage, I think the higher calorie setting will continue to allow you to lean out like you want. BUT with that said, I know how hard it is to decide where to go after a good drop on the scale!!! So my point would be, if I were you (and with those abs...I wouldn't mind giving it a whirl ) I'd stick with what you have been doing since you ditched the high cardio and see if that gets you were you want to be. The pictures between the two months definitely show that going back to weights help. I'd try to stick it out...but don't kill me if my advice sucks!! :noway: Obviously, I'm not exactly 'consistent' with knowing what works!!
On that note, here's my dilemma...since embarking on this S90 combined with Leigh Peele's guidelines (thus dropping to 1530, I believe and doing S90) I've dropped just over 5lbs since the beginning of September. That in itself is huge for me, unless of course I'm doing something dumb like never touching carbs and feeling like crap :blushing: (*facepalm*). But next week, according to LP I should drop my calories down to the low 1400s (I have to redo the math because I can't remember exactly), change up my macros and take a week of exercise and just focus on recovery work. For one, I'm struggling because at this set up I'm obviously losing weight. For 2, a week of would leave me a whole week behind on S90. But on the other side of the coin, does this drop (which then turns in to a raise in calories AFTER the 1 week of low) help to avoid a dreaded plateau? I can handle a week of low calories knowing that it bumps up after 7 days. But it's hard to let go of where I'm at know since I am losing?!?! :explode: Thoughts?
The dress is amazing, and I can't wait to see pictures. Nothing wrong with taking full advantage of getting to play dress up. We don't exactly get to do it too often as adults! Hell, I'm excited to pick out my 'volleyball attire' for this weekend. Something that says, 'yep, I still work out after retiring'. :laugh:0 -
Well my weight was really fluctuating. I was trying to get back to the 126-127 that was my lowest in June but then I was up to about 129 after all the cardio ridiculiousness and then when I switched to heavy lifting again with the higher calories is has fluctuated BUT has shown a trend overall increase up to 132. So basically I have seen small gains but it has been a gain nonetheless. I was ok with it at first with it but to see a little bit go up every week and then only have one drop ever 2 or 3 weeks or so (which didn't cancel out the gains) was sort of frightening. But I do think my arms are looking better and my abs are definitely back but without any hard evidence (like a number or a scale or a change in measurements) I feel like I am not really changing much (which is why I posted those pics). So this weekend will definitely be food filled so I am not going to worry about it now but I am still thinking about keeping it in the 1650-1750 range to see what happens.
Now for your decision, if it were me, I would stick to the LP plan and not worry about being a week behind on the S90. It will still be there when you get back and then you can say that you fully completed both programs (S90 and LP diet) when all is said and done but that is just my $.02. If it ain't broke don't fix it  And yes that is amazing that you have lost that much just this month! I am so jealous0 -
I'm going to try and go with the LP's and stick it out. If I'm feeling good, I may workout. If I'm feeling weak, probably not. i'll play it by ear...body whatever!!
Did you make a definite decision? I can see why you are wavering now with all the details laid out. It sucks trying to figure it all out!! Yikes...I wouldn't go for big changes because you definitely have those abs back!!
I was off MFP this weekend with a busy weekend. Saturday was iffy when we went to a fair, Sunday I burned up a ridiculous amount of calories playing at the alumni volleyball game. So jumping right into the low calorie week this morning and riding out hopefully a well behaved week!! :flowerforyou: That's my hope at least! With another busy week and a trip to the MIL's house this weekend, I need to stay on track so things don't go all off road!!! :blushing:
How was the big weekend?0 -
The weekend was fun but I was so wheels off yesterday that I felt sick this morning and couldn't work out. So I am throughly annoyed with myself. I finally see a real weight loss and what do I do? Go crazy wheels off. So I am sure I will see a big jump on the scale this week. So much for self control.
I did get complemented in my dress and a stranger made a reference to me staying so skinny while eating candy at the event so that was nice. But overall I am just in one of those moods today. You know, where you can't get yourself out of a funk. That is me right now. Just waiting for it to pass. haha0 -
I get the frustration...absolutely! I hope you are feeling better today after a good workout!!
I didn't meet my calorie goal last night. Oppsie. Have to try again for that low number today. We'll see. Going to have to plan a little better because I get so darn hungry at night no matter what. So I'm going to have to avoid midday snacks that typically fit in my budget or something. I can not go to bed hungry and then fast until lunch....that's just insane!!
This whole sleeping in thing 2 days in a row left me with half wet hair and almost hungry kids this morning. It blows my mind but sleeping in even a little leaves me far more stressed out than just getting up working out and checking off the long list of morning to dos. This whole 'rest week' probably won't last much past today!! :laugh:0 -
I totally get what you mean. When I sleep in and don't work out (like I did yesterday) I feel crappy the rest of the day and I feel like don't get things done as well. And not only do I not feel as accomplished I am usually more tired throughout the day (crazy I know!). I am done feeling bad about this weekend. I am sure I will be annoyed again on weigh day but whatever. I do feel better now that I got that workout under my belt this morning. But let me tell you. Wow it was hard getting back on the horse today. This was my first real workout since Thursday and I also had a glass of champagne and half a slice of cake (belated anniversary celebration) last night I feel like that wasn't helping either. I felt like dying but I made it through.
I am sure you are still doing great even if you didn't hit you goal 100%. I don't know how you fast until lunch at all. I don't think I could fast. I am sure eventually I would get used to it but I am a natural grazer  Is your energy level ok with the lower calories? Do you think you could work out with it or are you just too drained?
Well I think I am going to take the plunge and buy me a copy of CLX when I am done with this. I was looking at some reviews and I was already sold on the shorter workouts (vs p90x) but I was reading that some women posted they prefered CLX over p90x because it was geared more towards women's troubles zones then what men want to work on (ie more legs, less back). Which really got me excited. Almost done with month 2 of S90 so I am going to finish this one out and then probably move on to that. I am stalking ebay for copies under $50. :laugh:0 -
The whole fasting thing is actually just a whole lot of mental relief for me. Breakfast is such a rush for me after trying to get everyone else ready, the workout in, lunches backed, etc. Not having to worry about making myself something and shoving it down as I drive, really hasn't been an issue. I think the fasting thing itself isn't the cause of the weight loss, my issue is once I start eating I am very much a grazer, and sometimes mindlessly ESPECIALLY at night. And I know there's not scientific reason not to eat after a certain time of night. But knowing that at 8pm I'm 'done eating' for the night makes me more conscious about choosing something that will last. Granted a lot of times its peanut butter, but let's be honest- I LOVE PB and it keeps me full even with only a couple tablespoons. So I'm just rolling with it. If for some reason I started to feel lethargic or run down and thought it was from fasting- I'd definitely opt out of it. But I actually find myself feeling better. Whatever works, I guess!!
The low calorie thing is weird. Last week at 1530, I was fine to workout in the morning fasted and felt just fine. This week I think the combination of stress, -100 calories, and being on the verge of a bug I really have little energy. I am going to get up tomorrow and take the dogs for a walk and stick out the no workouts, low calorie until the weekend. But I think Saturday is the time to get back on the horse with workouts. I like working out. As much as I hate it. LoL.
Yeah for the Chalean! Maybe you'll get it around the time I start it and we can compare notes!! Like the Insanity days! :noway: When I ask for adjustable weights for Christmas I'm going to get this look....:huh:0 -
Yeah isn't it weird how a small amount of calories can make such a difference? I am sure you will see a stellar weight loss this week though since your calories are down and you haven't been weight training. It might be epic!! I can see what you mean about not having time for breakfast but I am usually STARVING in the morning. I am like a ravenous beast the minute I wake up. haha Some days it is hard to get through the workout without eating but I have to push through it.
Yeah I am stalking ebay to get a good price to pay myself but I will need to ask for the weights for Christmas since it is such a large investment. Depending on how quickly I finish this round of S90 (I still have about a month and a half left) I will probably go right into CLX regardless of if I have the weights or not. haha You know how excited I get about new programs  I am hoping the extra leg work will help my legs and *kitten*. My upper body and abs are really toning up but I can't say the same about my lower body. I know, I know. It is the bain of most woman's existance but still. I am hoping that working the legs 3x a week versus just one will be helpful. And I do love me some combo moves (or at least I did back in the day of JM).0 -
I honestly don't think this weigh in will bring much of a change. And I'm okay with that because I know I'm switching things up again in a few days. As long as I just keep sticking to the plan, I'm comfortable with moving forward!! I love the extra sleep but I'll be glad to get my butt moving again ASAP. I may not love getting up but I definitely feel more 'lively' than I do this week with not getting up to workout. I guess my MIL lives in the middle of the country so I may take advantage of a run to check it out. That's my hope...I'll have all this 'reserve energy' left over from not working out that I can get in a decent workout!!
Stalk stalk stalk! That's how I did it. I checked length of membership, feedback on similar products, whether it had a XX-day money back guarantee, etc. I'm sure with enough research, you'll find a good one. Are you into month 2 of S90? I know you aren't too far behind me but now I don't even remember where I am without looking!!!
I've got a helper at work today. His school has a rule against 3 year olds riding buses for field trips so when there's a field trip you either take a day off work to take them yourself or you find an alternative. Well, I've got enough work on my desk that I had to go with option B. He's locking and unlocking all my desk drawers while I attempt to catch up on MFP and work! :blushing:0 -
Oh what fun to have a helper! I could definitely use one right now as I have been swamped (as for the reason I am getting on so late). haha
Yes I am over halfway done with S90. I think I have 40 days left. Funny how in the first round you meticuliously count down the days then by round three you don't know where you are and have the time you forget to cross off the days on the calendar after you are done (never did that with Insanity, since I was always very ready to strike off that day )
Well I can't wait to hear. THis week's weigh in is going to be so so bad. In addition to the rebounding from the drop last week I also was wheels off for my anniversary and when I got on the scale this morning it was crazy high. I think that number was a bit too high but I expect a gain. Sucks to be at this point where after every loss you expect a gain but that is life. I have become much more accepting and I am excited to see what changes may come with the new program0 -
Oh yes over a 2lb gain today. Oh well there is no way I actually gained 2 pounds of fat but it is annoying to see than after I lose 1.5lbs I am right back up over 2lb the next week. UGGGHHH Oh well on the bright side my abs are feeling it again after that ball pass through thing and my arms are a bit sore too so I am loving that. I am in my last week of month 2 (well the last 10 days) when the hit you with all the cardio so we will see where that goes for the next weigh in. Still keeping the diet as is. Can't wait to hear about your weigh in. How did it go?0

The weigh in was fine...down about 1.8lbs. I was pleased. Though I expect the reintroduction of exercise next week will show that, as you said, the lack of strength training was really the factor. Either way, I'm moving on to the next week and have to run the numbers for this coming week. Typically the numbers game makes me crazy but the constant evolving of these guidelines doesn't give me time to go cuckoo over it!! I've loved the extra sleep mentally, but physically I'm ready to go again. As long as I stay on track while we are away this weekend, everything should theoretically be okay. Of course, the body does what the body wants!!
I've known you long enough to know you'll be on top of it all and be right on track without any issues. The body is a funny thing and if you can figure it out 80% of the time I'd say you are on it! I definitely think that you've got a good hold on what works for you with the strength training and moderate deficit. It works, keep working it!!
That's the only thing that scares me and I can't think of it now. But this is no longer term way of going at fitness/health. And I knew that going into it. But I'll still have to figure out the whole liveable calorie goal and fitness regimen. I'll get there...but it'll be another trial and error process!0 -
I saw that great loss you had right after I posted. What have you lost now while on this program? 7, 8, 9 pounds? That is crazy awesome. How long is the diet program you are on? I wasn't sure since it keeps changing if it is a certain length of time.0

10 weeks. 6.8lbs since September (2nd week I believe). I can send it your way if you want to check it out. Not saying I know how this will end or that you want to mess with what works, but for a decent read I have a bunch of her works in an email. I'm on week 4 right now so I'll end up messing up the weekend of the party (lol) but one day out of 10 weeks shouldn't ruin the program to bad! :laugh:0

I would love to see what has been getting you such great results. I am having issues getting motivated as my results are waining and so is my enthusiasm and of course my weight has been creeping up. So yes I would love to see some of it if possible. If nothing else I will totally hit it up after new years hard core after seeing what great results you have gotten. That is amazing!!!!
Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was good. The usual though of not being bad but not being good either. I worked out but on Sat we went to the pumpkin patch and I had too much kettle corn and on Sunday we went to a party and I had too much cake a pop corn again. So I was higher with my calories than I should have been but I am also trying to enjoy life with moderation. haha Now I think I will be seriously cracking down soon.
Family pics this weekend so I at least need to keep the food in check this week!!!0 -
Hopefully you get my email without any issues. There are a bunch of little e-books, all of which I found informative. I didn't thoroughly read maintenance yet since I'm not there. But she seems good at what she does and (aside from my off road yesterday!) things have been going well with it.
The weekend trip to the MIL was good. We packed food for the trip down so I stayed on target, ran Sunday morning and did eat out on the way home but it wasn't horrible. However, I took the kids to Applebee's and even though I split my entree up between lunch and dinner, I'm sure it didn't fit my macros. Not to mention I found a couple Halloween oreos that fell into my mouth! So today is clean up day and getting back on track. I opted for an evening workout since my parents kept the kids last night and sleeping in with DH sounded much more fun than a 5am wake up call. I'll pay for it later but it happens so infrequently that I don't have to rush, I enjoyed it. Now it's back to madness. It's no shock why people don't take days off even when they have them to take! LoL.
Family pics time! Ohhh! How fun! I'm still looking for some place reasonable to get ours. Did you give hubby the pictures yet?0
