So I made my ticker honest today - I'm back over 170. Which is not surprising given what I've been eating and what I haven't been doing for exercise. However, in good news, I've lost 5 of the 8 lbs that I was up last week. YEAH!

Cals - Over by 215 - darn you chocolate craving!

Exercise - Nothing
Proud - Made a smart choice at happy hour last night and just had a vodka/soda with a splash of cranberry juice. Much better than a beer!
So I leave tomorrow for another trip. We're going out to California and going SAILING for 3 days! I'm super excited about it. Because I've got quite a streak going (161 days!) and I'm not sure if we'll have any access to internet/3G on the boat (I'm certainly not counting on it!) I'm going to have my sister log in for me on Monday so I don't lose my streak. I know it may seem silly, but I'm proud of that streak and if I'm not actually ABLE to log in, I should be "punished"! This definitely means that I won't be able to log in until Wednesday or Thursday, so keep up the check-ins!!

I have been losing and gaining the same 5 pounds for nearly 6 months..no joke. I am so frustrated with my weight but I will not let it get me down. I will (eventually) reach my ultimate goal weight....I will not give up and will keep doing what Im doing...and fight every step of the way.

I think my self-imposed plateau is over. I gave myself nearly a month off to relax, eat and exercise in moderation, and give my body a chance to pause. Now that my skin's a little tighter (I was seriously getting worried about some hanging skin - gross) and I've started work, I'm going to be checking in again, especially since it seems like there are more people now dedicated to checking in daily or almost daily.
I've scheduled to start working out with a new trainer and I will be packing my lunch daily. I just need to keep the dining out and grocery-store impulse buys at arm's length.0 -
countrygirl2580: motivation is always tough to sustain for any length of time, it seems like we have good intentions for awhile but then life gets busy and in the way... I have had the most success I have ever had before in the last few months and I will tell you what I have been doing to try to stay motivate:
1. log your food every day (or as much as possible - I tend to slip on the weekends)
2. check in here with us! or any other group on here - it really helps to commiserate and celebrate with each other - about weightloss and everything else!
3. try new things - recipes, exercise, heart rate monitor, I signed up for a nutrition class that has been great with changing my eating habits
4. take your measurements as the scale is not always our friend but seeing the inches go down can be a motivator too
5. make being healthier a priority in your life - not just for now but a lifestyle change
