Good Morning,
Katy, good for you going for your MD. Good luck with that. My daughter has similar interests. She will probably go for a PA though. She knows she wants to have a family and that will be difficult being a MD so she will try to start out as a PA.
Pedal, that is kind of funny you & Kristen are from the same home town. Do either of you ever go back?
Well, I was tempted to get on the scale this morning, but I didn't. Last night I was watching TV and saw a Tim Horton commercial and a McDonald's commercial and now I am craving a doughnut / hamburger. How do I deal with this craving? It starts with the thought that keeps coming back. I think I want the burger more, maybe I will have a small burger & salad for lunch & still stay with my cals. How does that sound?
Today:
1: Cinnamon english muffin & coffee
2: apple
3: hamburger & salad
4: yougert
5: corn on cob, baked potatoe, multigrain bread dipped in olive oil w/ spices
6: depends on cals left
Exercise: not sure yet

Morning friends!
Rhiannon...I didn't know we were from the same town...London or Acton? I was born in London but we moved to Acton when I was really little...so most of my "growing up" was there...until 4th grade that is when we moved to Iowa for my dad's job. Too funny! Yep...I go back. My last living grandma lives in Mississauga, I have family in Oshawa and Toronto. And our best friends are still in Acton. So...we do go back and visit.
---Rhiannon...do you have a website for your business??
Deb...good for staying off the scale...I did also! WE CAN WAIT TILL TUESDAY! If you are really craving a burger, get it...count the calories and stay within your limits. And salad on the side is a great choice!
Well...here is the meal plan for today:
Breakfast:
1 c. Multigrain Cheerios, 1/2 c. skim milk, 1/4 c. blueberries, 10 red raspberries, 8 oz. PlumSmart Light Juice, 1 multivitamin.
AM Snack:
2 c. coffee, 2 tbsp. sugar-free Vanilla Caramel creamer, 1 soft-baked Kashi TLC ripe strawberry bar.
Lunch:
1/2 c. fat free cottage cheese, 3 Melba toast wheat crackers, 14 baby carrots, AE YoLite yogurt, diet coke, Jello Dark Chocolate Raspberry pudding cup.
Afternoon snack:
1 med. pear, 2 chocolate crunch rice cakes, 1 Kashi TLC Peanut Peanut Butter granola bar.
Dinner:
1 c. Homemade Taco Soup (recipe is on here...50 calories per cup!) with a homemade basic salad with spritzer dressing.
PM Snack:
Depends on calories remaining.
Exercise plan--45 minute Step class, 15 minute Ab workout.
So...today should be fine, but I am feeling so CRAPPY! I am getting a cold...throat is killing, head is stuffy, sinuses draining into stomach which makes me nauseous! BLAH! Hoping to recover fast. But I'm off tomorrow and will just go for a run on brisk walk with the dogs in the morning. Then I will be busy the rest of the day. My brother is coming over tomorrow evening and staying until Sunday...so I CAN'T be sick! Gonna just tough it out! That's the plan!
Rhiannon...how was your hair cut??? Pictures please!:flowerforyou:
I'll be back in a while guys! Have a good morning!0 -

pedal....i too would like to look at a website if you have one...i like the shampooing the best of a hair cut. yes, pics please.
kistin...hope you feel better soon. keep your exercise to the light side. don't push yourself and take care of yourself while sick.
deb...do your exercises and just stay on the treadmill. i would just die if something happened to mine.
today i was walking along (on my treadmill) and watching the movie thelma and lousie, well did the first hour with running for 1 mins every 5 mins. than started thinking wonder what happens when the timer hits. 99 mins. so stayed on treadmill at a slow pace, but yet kept HR in lower fat burning to see. and cruising along at a slow 2.5 when boom just stops and beeps. it reached 99, and shut itself off. i thought oh well now i know. burned 922 cals.
well time to shouwer and dress.
enjoy day. beautiful cool weather here today. love it. nice change to the 90/100 and high humidity.

Cathy...thanks!:flowerforyou: **sneezes!**I do feel miserable...but I'm gonna push myself through my Step class and Ab workout tonight because I know that tomorrow will be an easier day. I really don't want to miss my Spin class on Saturday, so REALLY hoping tomorrow rejuvinates my body and I can go full-swing on Saturday! We will see.
Nice day here also...but won't get to enjoy it much. Busy day at work for me and since I'll off tomorrow...can't really slack.

Morning ladies,
wow alot to read but very nice to hear some background stuff. here is mine
i am 28 i have wonderful husband and two beautiful kids austin is 6 and savannah is 2. i was born and raised in saratoga NY and surrounding areas. i have always been overweight even as a kid. i come froma very obese family. i am the baby of 8 kids all of my sisters are over weight two have even had gastric and a tummy tuck and since have put the weight back on. I refused to do that and be like that. so october 1 2007 we moved down here to Hilton Head Island South carolina and we started our new life. after getting settled and getting jobs, i started focusing on me for the first time in my life. i just started watching calories and keeping them at 1400 or lower and walking on the beach 3 or 4 times a week. i did that from december to april 2008 and lost 40lbs but since then i have only been exercising speradically(sp?) but i have maintained my calorie intake so i havent gained anything back at least.
im now at the point where im pretty happy with myself but still very self consious exspecially in a bathing suit. so i need to get those last 15-20lbs off and get toned up. i also need to quit smoking but have been unsuccesful thus far. soon though.
I am a property manager for a rental company here on hilton head and my husband is a contractor and things are good not perfect but we are HAPPY!! our Kids are HAPPY!! I dont miss NY at all.
so thats my story!! oh i also decorate cakes for a hobby and im enerting a contest in charlotte on saturday. i cant wait im soooo excited
today : coffee and yougurt
11am tlc bar
1pm lunch soup and a apple
4pm 100 calorie pack and green tea
7pm dinner big green salad
snack pomegrante popsicle
lota of water through out the day
exercise 30-45min treadmill
have a great day everyone0 -
Aww Kristin, get better soon! No fun feeling sick. I first "met" you on the Canada thread where you said you were from London. I messaged you since I was born and raised there and asked you about your schools etc but you said you moved State-side when you were around 8 or something? Anyway, I have "one of those" memories
Katy, I'm glad you're going to PT. Just make sure you take it easy on the working out!! A short break is better than a long one caused by pushing it farther than you should have :glasses:
Deb, it's always good to find a way to fit a craving into your day rather than opting to blow your day due to a craving. Good for you
Chipper, Rogers, Cass, Amy... HI!
My hair cut is at 10:45 so I'll post when I can. I don't know how much will be noticeable from the front but I'll take a pic of the back too I guess. We have relatives visiting so I'll be out till later (I think I already said that though).
Alright, must get on with our busy day!!0 -
Oh, and I did NOT get on the scale today. I enjoy not weighing in every day but I'm going to be SO anxious Tuesday morning!!...0
-
Rhiannon....that's right! I remember now! Yep...London and then to Acton. From there to the States when I was about 8. So funny!
So...do you have a website for your business?0 -
Well gals...I'm getting worse...   Actually debating on leaving work early. No guarentees that I will make it to the gym...but I REALLY don't want to skip! It makes me to freakin mad!:explode: But my head keeps getting worse, I feel more and more nauseous, and my body hurts!:grumble: I HATE being sick! I'm been doing SO good with all this motivation and I don't want to fall off again! ARGH!:explode: I'm gonna hold out here at work for a while and see how things go. I'll check back in a bit.0
-
kistin GO HOME!!!!!! you aren't doing yourself much good by working sick. your body is telling you i need rest and chicken noodle soup. go home take a shower or bath(bath for me w/bubbles in my big garden tub ) than put your jammies on and eat some soup and lay on the couch and watch some tv and nap.....orders from someone old enough to be your mother. (be 50 next year). now go tell boss and gooooo.
being sick doesn't mean you have to eat, just snack on little things, soup, crackers, 100 cal snacks
will check on you later.
cathy0 -
Really Ladies? C'mon now...how am I supposed to catch up!
I just wanted to pop on to say I'm here and I'm thinking about all of you! I don't have time to read all and comment on all, so I'll comment on the little snippet I did read..
GO HOME KRISTIN!! We will miss you...but you will pay for not resting by being sicker longer! If you just rest you can fight it off fast! You won't be doing yourself any good by staying at work. Don't worry about working out...just don't use today as an excuse to over eat and you will be golden!! Drink tea! I love tea when I don't feel well.
Hi Cathy, Deb, Katy! Did I miss anyone? Hi to you if I did...sorry...really busy today so I'll get on as soon as I can. (I'm an accountant and its a busy day!)
I did go to the gym and burn 600 exactly! Woo hoo!!
Goodie ladie has malted milk balls and they sound soooo good. Pray for me! LOL
:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:0 -
Hey...thanks Cass and Cathy. I am going to go home, but I am going to stick around for probably another hour. I have some gels running that I want to finish...doesn't take much work, just waiting for them to finish running and then take a picture. So...gonna try and eat a little lunch. Don't know that cottage cheese was the best thing to bring...I might just wait...NOTHING even sounds good. I have that Taco soup at home in the crock pot...so some soup may be good later this evening. Sad I'm gonna miss Step class...but I will enjoy watching some movies! Man...just so miserable! And it really makes me SO mad! But...yes...my body is definetely telling me something...just sucks when I finally had all this motivation again! Oh well.:grumble:
Oh...and could you please say a prayer for my in-laws 2 cats (they have 4 total). One is 18 and has been dying...we could just tell, but she's been happy and in no pain...just dying of old age. Well...she broke her leg today and so they will have to put her down...it won't heal. Their other cat has been vomitting and bleeding from her rectum for the past day or so and she is going to the vet today. She's not that old...maybe 7. I hope they figure everything out with her.
Well...I will let you all go for now but I'll get on at some point later hopefully and touch base. AND I'll let you know how good/bad/or otherwise I eat today. Have a good lunch and afternoon.
And thanks for everything!0 -
Hi everyone,
Kristen, hope you decided to go home, I'm sure your boss would prefer you not spread your illness around the office. I hope you feel better soon. Maybe some rest & stay hydrated please.
Katy, Is your bulging disc from the accident?
Pedal, Can you hold out till tue for the scale?
Hi Cass & Chipper & anyone I missed.
Just had my lunch & the craving is now diminished. It really wasn't worth it, but just a small reg. hamburger did the trick. I've been grocery shopping & still have to go out again & hit one more store. I did get Fuze pomegranite acai berry drink only 10 cals for 8 oz. I hope its good. Bought lots of veggies & salad stuff.
Check in later:happy:0 -

Whew - not as much to catch up on this time!! lol
So, I've updated my profile pic... but I wasn't able to get a good shot that really shows the cut. It looks really flat in the photo but it isn't. I'll have to get someone to take a better pic. I love it though. I got more cut off than I thought I would and it looks great. REALLY short at the back and very bouncy
Kristin, poor you! I'm glad you went home.
Well, our relatives are coming over to our house after supper and it's a big chaotic right now as I'm getting ready for my trade show so I need to clean up the clutter a little.
Oh, yes my website is http://ecobambiniplanet.com The baby slings are the thing I make personally. A few other products too but that is my main "baby".
Alright, later gaters.0 -
Hey all..
todays lunch was a luna bar and some fiber water..had like 3 bites of chicken salad during the afternoon and like 5 fat free pringles.. dinner was an egg white omelet with turkey, fat free shredded chz, jalapenos and tomatoes- only ate like 1/2 of it bc I got full and not hungry anymore.
Just kinda in a funk since midmorning today..Ive been foggy mentally and physically drained bc I ended up taking a pain pill and a muscle relaxer around 1130a bc of my back pain coming back..and it still didnt help that much! Just one of those days..
No exercise today, no time really and havent been in the mood. I will make up for it tomorrow and walk atleast 2 different times..like in the morning then maybe in the evening. I'll do atleast 30 min each time, if I can push it I will try 60 minutes each.
Okay well I hope you all have great evenings!! Check in later!!

Just got back from a bike ride and burned 398 calories. No where near as much as some of you burn, but I'm trying to build up to it.

Good morning gals! I'm up and getting ready to make some coffee. Still not feeling 100% but MUCH better and I think I will try and just take the dogs on a walk today if the weather holds out for me. I have LOTS of stuff to do today. Off work, but busy. Gonna start some laundry now. I have to do a sink full of dishes (since I didn't do any yesterday) and clean the house. Wash the spare sheets...my brother is coming to stay the weekend. I need to go downtown and get my car title changed into my new last name (that I've procrastinating doing since we were married July 07) and then pay for new license tags. I also have a hair appointment at 1:30 and then get my drivers license renewed. Also need to run into the mall to pay my Kohls bill (can pay in the store) and I want to run into Borders to buy myself a new book. So...lots to do and I want to be back home around 5 to start dinner. So I probably won't be on much today. Not sure about meals either...gonna be on the run, but I'll check back sometime this evening.
Have a great day everyone!!!
Oh...and still no peak at the scale for me...I like this challenge...hard, but I think it will be good!0 -
Good Morning All,
Kristen, glad too hear you are feeling a little better. You sure are busy today. Take it easy.
Katy, hope you stayed off the scale. I did. I took measurements instead. Only the three they have on this site and I lost 1" at the waist and almost 2" on the hips.
I went a little over on cals yesterday I hope it doesn't show up on the scale. I will post my menu & exercise later since I'm not sure at this point.
Have a lovely day:flowerforyou:0 -
Good morning!
K, I'm glad you're feeling a little better - take it easy today on your wild day out of errands!
I'm sooo nervous about scale day on Tuesday.. The first 3 days of this week were okay but not the best. Tuesday we ordered in, Wednesday I had a couple of cookies that my guest made, yesterday we went with our relatives to a restaurant for lunch. I had some split pea chorizo soup (SERIOUSLY delicious!) and 2 teensy slices of my children's small thin crust margheritta pizza and a VERY light supper but I'm always worried when I don't know ingredients. I'm sure it was WAY more sodium than I usually allow..
Anyway, portions and choices have been the best they could, I just really don't like the unknown aspect of eating at restaurants.
Alright, time for my day! I may try spinning class for the first time rather than my later bosu class... we'll see!0
