Whoo hoo!! I just started turbo jam today and I loved it!!! I'm all sweaty, worked my *kitten* off, but it didn't feel like work....not yet anyway!!
Good for you!! I've been doing it almost daily since April and I still smile the whole way through the workout, it's so much fun!!

Welcome peej! I hope you love Turbo Jam as much as we do (did that just sound like Chaleen??? :laugh: ) I've been doing Turbo Jam since Aug 25th and I've lost almost 20 lbs. I will be doing my CP2 workout in about 20 minutes....then I have to figure out how to get ab jam in sometime today....we will see if that's gonna happen0

Good morning everyone. Being a new kid on the block here - I have to mention that I found this thread a couple of days ago and starting looking at the Turbo Jam. It has some great reviews! So, of course, I had to order it due to arrive in the next couple of days. I can't wait to start it!!

I would love to join in on this! Not sure which TJ set I have...it came with the 5 workouts on a 2 disc set, PK&J and the weighted gloves. I am hoping to get some new DVDs for xmas. My favorites are PK&J and Turbo Sculpt. I don't have a HRM yet...again, hoping for that this xmas. Out of curiosity, how many calories does everyone average with sculpt? I am never sure how to log that, I know it gets my heart rate up and not sure if weight training calories listed in the exercise database is correct? I found a site somewhere that puts TJ calories burned as comparable to kickboxing and was able to input my height and weight to get a better idea for calories burned for those workouts.
Usually I work out at night after the kids go to bed, my norm is 6 days a week. I also throw in walking/jogging 4 miles a few days a week depending on the weather.
My son just fell asleep for a nap, so I am off to sneak in a workout now while I can.
Either doing CP1 or PK&J...will decide after I get changed!

Only got in a 20 minute workout today but I'm hoping to squeeze in Ab Jam and maybe another 20 minute workout before bed tonight.

I would consider Turbo Sculpt more of a circuit training workout than weight lifting, because it keeps moving and keeps your heart rate up.0

Thanks! I just finished CP1 for the day. Had to get my workout in early tonight...Thursday night is my big TV night...Ugly Betty, Grey's, and Life of Mars...watched the premier last week and got hooked, so I lost that 10:00 workout time! :bigsmile:0 -

Hello and welcome!! I usually only burn around 300 calories with Turbo Sculpt. But the cardio workouts I burn between 500-650 calories depending on how hard I push. But it's different for everyone, depending on how much you weigh, your max heart rate, etc.0 -
I got my CP workout in and 10 minutes of Ab Jam. I havent gotten any strength training in this week and feel terrible about it. Somedays I barely get my 40 mins of cardio in let alone another 20-40 mins of toning.
So this is going to sound really silly but usually I work out barefoot but with all the twisting and turning in the workouts I'm getting blisters on my feet. So today I wore shoes and let me tell you what....I probably burned another 200 calories because of the extra weight on my feet. I could feel it with every kick and knee. Agh and I'm sure I'm gonna feel it even more tomorrow....silly huh!0 -
I'm doing Turbo Sculpt plus the 20 min workout and maybe Ab Jam tonight.0

I got my Turbo Jam DVD's in the mail today and did the Cardio Party and 20 one. What a workout!! They are awesome. I have to say I'm hooked.0

Hey guys! How is everyone? I worked Thurs. and Fri. 7a-7:30p and didn't exercise at all. I guess walking the halls of the hospital for 12 hour days counts as some! But got the 20 Minute workout and Turbo Sculpt done today! :flowerforyou:

I started my weight loss journey with turbo jam and stopped because I got bored with it, but I'll join the group and start up again. I did love the workouts and I lost 15lbs doing them. I'm so excited!!!

I have a question.....I just did the turbo sculpt and I went to put it into MFP, under weight training and it says that it is only worth 120 something calories. I'm sure this is wrong. Does anyone know what the calories would be for the full turbo sculpt done with 8lb weights???? Please help.0

I use 10 lb weights and usually burn around 300-330 calories. The best thing to do is to get a HRM.0 -
I have been doing TJ as long as you guys have and I have a HR monitor and the most calories I have ever burned was 160. I did Fat Blaster last nite and only burned 150 what am I doing wrong?0

I did CP last night. One of these days I will adjust my workouts back to a normal time! My son has decided that naptime is no more, so now all my workouts are after the kids are in bed and all the work around the house is done.0

Roxie... calories burned depends on soooo many things... age, weight, heart rate, current level of fitness, height, exercise duration, etc etc etc.
I'm 5'8", so I'm gonna burn more calories than someone who is 5'2"... when I do TK I do it for an hour and I do it quite intensly... so I usually burn around 800 calories.
So, don't get frustrated if you don't burn as many as someone else, because we are all different.0 -

Didn't workout at all this weekend. :grumble: I worked a 12-hr on my feet on Saturday and on Sunday, I guess the day just slipped me by-never even got out of my pjs!! But got TS and Fat Blaster done today-diet is spot on so far. I'm seeing the tumbleweeds of this forgotten town blowing by me.....0

I didn't either... I was out of town at my parents. I had my TK video with me to practice, but with all of the running around I was doing with the family the time didn't present itself (unless I cut into sleep hours, which I opt not to do when I have to make 5 hour drives... heh).
Tonight I have aerials and tomorrow I'm having my TURBOWEEN party!0 -
I just did a 20 minute workout. I really gave it my all, feel great.
