    Here's how I understand it:
    I will get a spreadsheet from the guy running the challenge. This spreadsheet takes the number of calories that each person burns per day and plugs it into a formula which then says how many miles those calories equate to. So, for example - say as a team, we burned 4500 calories in one day (which I think it's an underestimate, but let's just go with it). So I will plug that into the spreadsheet and it takes that and divides it by how many calories are burned rowing 1 mile at a slow pace (he calculated it to be about 50 cals). So, that would mean that for that day, our team rowed 90 miles.

    Each day, I report to him and he will update the master spreadsheet, as well as our position on the map:

    The first team get back to the starting point (which is in England), will be the winning team.

    So, all you guys have to do is work your little tushies off! Burn those calories! (Don't hurt yourselves, though. That would be bad, mkay?) And then at the end of the day, report the number of cals that you burned to me. I think this challenge will be a great motivator for all of us to workout better, harder, longer. I know it will be for me!! :-)

    Where in Germany do you live?? My grandmother is from Germany - we still have family in Augsburg. She's actually going back there for 10 days in September. I wish wish wish that I could go with her, but it's just not in the cards right now.

    I'm frome the Ore Mountains. That's in Saxony, so it's south east. Well actually more east south east. ROFL close to the border to Czechia.
    Too sad you can't come to Germany with your grandma. It's a beautiful country. :-) But maybe you will get the opportunity later.

    Super excited for this game to get started!!! We have a boat on the map now! Just need to name it!

    So, from the suggestions that we've come up with thus far, these are the top 9. We haven't gotten input from a couple of the girls still, so I'd like to hear from them before we do any voting. I'll contact them and remind them to check us out here. We do need to make a decision about the team name by the end of the day, though.
