Holy crap I love white water kayaking... My new favorite thing ever. Cal burn for it is MFP estimate though, didn't want to bring the HRM in case I broke it.
I loved it the only time I tried it. Unfortunately I have lots of factors working against being able to do it regularly...not the least of which being my two bedroom apartment and its lack of space.0 -

I LOVED white water rafting too! I tried it for the first time 2 summers ago at the peak of the season at Kaweah River. It was amazing! And difficult (class 4 rapids!), but we had a guide/professional with us. It was easier to enjoy the rapids that way than to buy a raft.

Between rgutie1's sport fishing and timeforme23's awesome hikes, it sounds like people are really enjoying the outdoors and summer days doing adventurous stuff! It's getting me motivated to do a Mount Baldy hike soon, hopefully when it's not too hot!
