Hey guys! I have to confess I made a mistake in our totals. For some reason when I gave Jen our totals for Sunday (rest day) I only counted 5 points for each cup of water, not 10. So, since we all got all our water in I jipped us out of 250 points! Ugh! I just messaged Jen to ask her to fix it, so hopefully she will. We're doing really well this week. Are we still okay to make our rest day for next week on Saturday?0

Saturday is a great rest day for me... I would love it since tht is my long day at work. I can definately get in the water and not feel like a totol failure for the group.
I am going to go try the lunges in a few. MY knees are not good so I hope that I can get them done!! I don't know if I will make with the under carb for the day.. I will try ..
Glad to know I was not alone in the revese crunches. I think that I will push myselft to do 25 more of them tonight as well as 25 reg cruches.. and the dumbell flys. I really want to change the shape of my stomach !!

Ok ladies I am sorry to say I could not do the lunges.. managed about 4or 5 just to hard on the bad knees.. Really don't want to make myself go into a flare up of my MCTD (its an auto immune disease similar to RA)
I was under on the carbs...
and got in 80 mins of cardio total..

No worries kat. Lunges are tough and we don't want you injuring yourself. I spaced mine out through the day and still have 5 more to do. Putting them off until the very last minute!0

Hey everyone sorry for not posting yesterday but was very tired. I did jump on to see how you had all done but didn't have the energy to type
So yesterday was fine drank all my water was under my cards, sodium, and cals, and did my challenge exercises. I jsut didnt' get in any cardio as went to bed super early as I thought i was getting run down and it sometimes lead to a migraine for meBut today feeling a lot better. So far I'm under my cals (still have to get through dinner, but have heaps of cals so dont think it will be an issue) My quota of water is already finished and so far I've done 105 mins of cardio. I'm hopping to take the puppy for a walk later tonight so might be able to up that to make up for yesterday.
And I had a thought - I too would like to do C25K so lets all do it together!!!!!! I have tried it once before but gave up in the 3rd week. So I'd love to give it another shot. What do you ladies think?? It doesn't have to start right now just when everyone is ready, but just putting the idea out there.

It is a running program, not on a dvd to my best knowledge but its something you can download. You can google it and get the general idea. I would totally try it I have been "attempting " to get running. Something I swore I would only do if I was being chased by very bad things. So I think its a great idea.0

Good evening everyone!!
I just checked the board and we are (at the moment) in first place!!!!!! However we still have to log in Thursdays points and other teams points are missing, but I just want to say WAY TO GO!!!!!! We went from 7th to near the top of the pack. You all deserve a pat on the back and big hugs all around. Fingers crossed we can retain our lead.
Man I am STILL feeling the effects of those lunges, my butt is killing me!!!
So did well again today
All in the green, have drunk my water, and did my crunches.
Only did 45 mins of cardio as it was pouring outside.
Hey Kat was thinking about your knee and not being able to do the lunges and I reckon that if that happens again just do the exercise that you missed on your day off. Just an idea as this will still keep you moving and not push any injuries.
I was also thinking that if you were worried about your knee and think you can't attempt the C25K (as it's running) I would be happy to make you a similar program in any cardio of your choice. The idea behind it is to push yourself to go faster/harder and reach a certain point after so many weeks. Let me know if your keen!!0 -

For Friday I've done 80 points in just exercise! Yay! I'll have to find the post with the challenges for this week to get those done! Is tomorrow our rest day now? Or still Sunday until next week. I'm strange and consider my weeks to go from Sunday to Saturday, so I'm always confused about it.
Anyway, the next few days I'll be making my way back to north Carolina, while stopping in random states to meet relatives for brief meals and such. I probably won't get too much cardio in, but I'll do my best with the challenges!

KJ ---- That would be lovely. I talked to my Doctor and he doesn't advise me to run at this point because of Mctd and the bad knee. He was very happy that I have lost 43 lbs in 6 months. I have been pushing myself to do at least 75 crunches., leg lifts,, dumbell pullovers and flys, at least 15 mins of strength , I have resistance bands so I am also using those for some things. Add that to at least 25 mins of walking everyday.. Well yeah I am happy to say for the first time in my life I am enjoying exercise. These last 6 months have changed me so much !! So yes Kj after all that if yuou could do that I would love it. My daughter and I walk mostly . I use the leslie sansone dvd..
So today I did the 50 crunches , was under in sodium and did 40 mins of cardio (including my strength training stuff) and was also under in my calories.
Rest day tomorrow right !!

Sorry. I just sent the challenges to your inbox... I forgot you were still on vacation.
I got 60 minutes of cardio in today. Did all my crunches and I'm under sodium. Woohoo!! Saturday will be our rest day, so drink up girls. And try to stay under your carbs... I gotta say I'm not sorry to be missing out on the exercise challenge tomorrow. Lateral Lunges... Ugh... I'm going to take our rest day to go out and buy some new running shoes after work. It's funny, since starting this whole journey, I've tried a million different ways to exercise, trying to figure out what I like best and can stick with. It took me forever to even consider running, and now it's my favorite thing to do. I'm just doing the c25k right now, but I really like running. I can't wait to get better and better at it. I really want to run a 5 k this fall, and I'd like to run a marathon before I die. Who knew?0 -
Just wanted to say how happy I am that we are together in this. You girls are really rocking it our points have gone up significantly. But more importantly I love that this group is so helpful and caring towards each other. I couldnt have asked for a better group of ladies to help me along. Thank you all so very much!! I totally agree I LOVE THIS TEAM!!! I couldn't wish for a better one.
Today since it was rest day I drank all 10 cups and stayed under my points.
I also did some exercise (pity it doesn't count) oh well
I've got another big assignment due so have to cruise but I'll check back in 2morrow

Oh my gosh. I'm just getting cup number 8 down and I don't think I'll get much more down. I'll try for my 10 cups though and I'll send Laurie my totals!

It was storming when I got home from work last night. So i didn't even turn the computer on.

hey ladies! i'm officially back from my vacation, so will hopefully be more active on the message board! :]
just got home and anxiously went up to weigh myself for the first time in 2+ weeks. turns out, i didn't lose any. instead, i gained 2lbs. i seriously don't understand how that could have happened and am pretty bummed about it. i mean, the past few days i haven't been great, but on vacation i was pretty consistently under in calories and did really well with tracking EVERYTHING. i know it's not a HUGE gain, but i was SURE i was going to have lost at least 5lbs since i was so good, so ANY gain is disappointing.
anyway! i'm trying not to let it get to me. in fact, i'm trying to use it to motivate me more. hopefully i'll have some good totals for our team!! :]0 -
Don't let the 2 lbs get you down.. I could be water gain from travel. It will be gone in no time!!!

Challenge today because I am tired. Didn't sleep well last night and my allergies are acting up !!! Hoping for a much better day tomorrow!!

thanks kat! i'm going to be EXTRA good this week and drink a ton of water. hopefully it is just water weight and stuff from travelling stress. uhh.
anyway, today i did my woodchops, was under in sodium, and did 40 minutes of cardio. i struggled a lot too... i ended up mowing the yard when i got home and shortly after that i fell asleep for a few hours. then i just had no energy when i woke up. argh! driving is exhausting! :]

I'm so sorry I've been MIA lately
I have sooo much on at the moment assignments due, just got extra responsibilities at work, I'm also in the middle of negotiating my contract soooooo stressful and no time to do anything! And on top of all that its that TOTM
Makes me want to cry and eat everything in the cupboards. I'm glad Ive got no bad food in the house otherwise my cals would be though the roof. I've been to ashamed about not working out to jump on here and tell you. However I thought if i didn't do it tonight then I never would. I'm so sorry to let you all down and as soon as I wake up 2morrow I'm hitting the gym, no more excuses!!! I WILL NOT let this defeat me. Everytime this has happened in the past I have fallen off the wagon for good. I WILL NOT let that happen again. I"m here for the long haul! This is a life time commitment!! I WILL succeed this time. Once again sorry for being a bad team member, please forgive me.

KJ, im glad you decided to share your struggles with us thats why we are here. I know it takes guts to get on and say sorry if you feel like a failure, but I see it as courageous. You are not gonna fail. This process is a lifelong journey and like any long term journey there will be bumps in the road, highs and lows. I have had a bad week as well but I will not let it define me or derail my goals. Take a few days to deal with your life stuff/stress make the best choices you can w/o beating yourself up. In a few days you will fell better, thats when you shake it off, call it what it is a small bump in the road, not a set back or failure and get back to kicking *kitten*. Im here for you, and the team is here for you, so please let us know if we can help in anyway. Sending big hugs your way sweety0

Ok ladies I must say I am sorry but no points from me today. :sad: I have been sick all day. Feeling like &%# today!! no exercise. I cant lean forword or I get dizzy . and the pain and pressure in my head is coming down into my neck. Grrr. I did get in 8 glasses of water if that counts for anything ..and advil evry 6 hours!!

It seems like we are all having a rough time this week. We won the challenge last week, so we must be a very strong, capable group of women! One bad day, or one bad week is nothing. It's going to happen. It's coming back from that sickness, or that funk, or whatever it is and moving forward that will make us successful in this journey. I'm so proud of all of us for pushing through, and being accountable to each other!0

i agree with laurie! we're definitely capable of doing this! some days and weeks aren't as good as others, but you've gotta keep going when you feel better!
anyway, i forgot to post last night so my totals for tuesday were:
120 minutes cardio, under carbs, and all 100 lying abductions. the abductions made my legs feel like they're just going to fall off today, but that means they did something! :] so, my total was 75!

Feeling better than yesterday. Not as much pressure. Didn't try the extra exercise. Just got in some slow walking!! Going to push through this. Tomorrow will be even better. So for such a crappy week from me. Don't remember the nutrition challlenge for to day but was under calories by 238 i think thats what it was . Under in sodium and everything else.
We can do this ladies. Just not our week.. School starts here on Monday for my daughter. So I can walk while I am waiting for her to get done talking to her friends .. Should be about to get and extra 20 mins a day ...

i forgot to post last night, but i did 80 minutes of cardio, plus the exercise and nutrition challenges so my total was 55. did anyone else think the arm raise things were a bit strange? i couldn't figure out what to do with my head!
i've already gotten in almost 80 minutes of cardio, and it's not even 11am for me! wooh! this weekend i'll be moving back to baltimore (where i'm going to grad school), so my sunday might be a little lacking. starting in september, i'll be going back to my gym there... which is good because i've had just about enough swimming and walking, so i'll hopefully start racking up the points! :]
