Finally Finally Finally!!!! First of all my complete apologies to everyone for making you wait. It has been an odd couple of days. Everytime I tried to do this, something happened. I guess that's life :grumble:

And now..... The results of Week #2

CCC1-3.jpg
CCC2-2.jpg
CCC3-2-1.jpg

Congratulations to Trixtabella with her 6lbs loss this week!!!! Incredible :drinker:
For those with a gain this week, I was right there with you! DON'T GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Thank you everyone for your feedback regarding those individuals that were MIA. There were more than a few that messaged me personally that either asked to be removed, or asked for some time. Not a problem. And if anyone ever wants to come back, I still have their info

And the part you've all been waiting for.... THE CHALLENGE!!!

Now don't get scared but it's a two part challenge. I know that those burpees were KILLER for some of you  and for others it was a pleasurable challenge :noway: but I wanted to give you something that would give you a good idea of where you physical strength and limitations were. For this week, there will be one physical challenge, and one personal one.

PHYSICAL CHALLENGE:
Anything you did as a kid that you still do nowadays? Yes Femmerides!!! YOU WERE RIGHT!!!
When was the last time you picked up a jump rope? If it was recently, then you already know what a workout it can be! If it's been a while, you may remember it as one of your beloved past times. It may all change with this challenge

Your challenge is to jump rope for 30 minutes. It doesn't have to be 30 minutes straight, break it up to 5 minutes a day. Or really challenge yourself and pump it up to 10 minutes a day and tell this challenge to kiss your super tight behind :noway:
If you don't own a jump rope, don't fret. All you need to do is go through the motions. If any of your have down Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, you know what I'm talking about. It really gets the heart rate up and helps to tone your legs. 30 minutes.... You got it?!?!?   And for those well-endowed ladies, remember the sports bra! We don't want anyone with black eyes :glasses:

PERSONAL CHALLENGE:
What would you do with $100? New clothes? Fancy dinner? Personal trainer?
Got $5 on you? GOOD!!! Now put it away! Stick it in the pants pocket of your "Goal Jeans"! Put it in the back of your dresser drawer! But PUT IT AWAY! And do the same thing every week from now until Christmas! We have 20 weeks left and if we put away $5 every time we weigh in for this challenge, we'll have our own nice little Christmas present waiting for us to CELEBRATE OUR CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN CHALLENGE COMPLETION!!!! (That's a lot of "C's")

Ok everyone! Get to jumpin'!!!!

yes!!! i'm so freaking stoked! wooooo! this week rocks and i LOVE the $5 weigh in challenge. I'm SO doing that. :-)
  • This sounds like fun...is it ok if we do the jump rope like on the 30 Day Shred??

As for me with $100 I'd buy new clothes since I will be needing them by then lol. So I will be putting that away each week so I can buy something really nice to wear for Christmas!! :-)

Christmas was canceled- part of the Debt Ceiling compromise. Sorry. :-/

I love this! This made me laugh!!!

As for the challenges.... I love them too. I really try to stay off the scale except for weigh in Fridays  but I have failed this week and it has got me bummed out right now. However, seeing Jenn post and mine (along with everyone else's progress) has lightened the mood. And I'm actually excited about the challenges. So here's to only being Tuesday and 3 days to work towards a great weigh in on Friday. Happy Tuesday everyone! Stay positive, I know I need to.

Ohhh so exciting! I don't have 30 DS. Think I may have to purchase that beauty. :-) Sounds like it could be fun. Love the jump rope and $5 goal. Great ideas! You're so good at this Jenn. :flowerforyou: Thanks for being such an awesome group leader!!

I really like this weeks money challenge and I'm definitely going to do the jump rope challenge. I need to get myself back on track and keep up with this group and the weekly challenges. Since I choose not to do the burpee challenge last week I will be trying to do that along with the jump roping challenge plus my regular gym exercises. I need to keep focused and concentrate on what I'm eating and how much I'm moving. I NEED to loose this weight and I want to feel good about myself. Good luck everyone!!!

Sounds like two great challenges. $100 dollar Christmas present, Wonderful.
Teacher work days are starting this week and Students start next week, so my challenge is going to be finding time to do my workouts including this jump rope challenge. Thanks Jenn for keeping records and coming up with these great challenges.

 Just got done with 50 burpees (40 beginner and 10 advanced)!!! I had to make up for last week. I did 10 the first day but I got lazy the rest of the week. It took me awhile to do these 50 but I feel really accomplished. I already feel back on track!

Maybe I can even get 5 or 10 minutes of jump roping in later today.
  • Great challenges!! Good luck in week 3 everyone!

heres a recipe i made tonight ...never ate egg plant before until today ,not 2 keen on it !! but for everyone that likes egg plants heres a awesome recipe !!

    Skillet Eggplant Parmigiana

    Serves: 4

    Cooking Time: 30 min

    Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1 1/2 cups Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
1 medium eggplant (about 1 pound), cut into 1/4-inch slices
    1/3 cup olive oil
1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce, divided
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
NOTE i also added boiled chicken breast chopped up and layered in middle !!!!
    Instructions
1.Place eggs in a shallow dish and beat lightly. Place bread crumbs in another shallow dish.

2.Dip eggplant slices in egg then place in bread crumbs and pat crumbs lightly onto both sides.

3.In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons oil over medium heat until hot. Fry eggplant 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until golden, adding more oil as needed. Remove to platter.

4.When finished frying eggplant, discard oil and place 3/4 cup sauce in skillet. Layer with fried eggplant then spoon 3/4 cup sauce over eggplant and sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese. Repeat layers 2 more times, finishing with sauce and reserving 1/2 cup cheese.

5.Cover and heat 12 to 15 minutes on medium-low heat. Remove cover and sprinkle with remaining cheese; cook 3 to 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
