  • 8/22 - Exercise challenge complete + 1 mile, 100 crunches, 100 jumping jacks for the team
    8/23 - Exercise challenge complete + 100 crunches, 100 jumping jacks for the team
    8/24 - Exercise challenge complete + 1 mile, 100 crunches, 100 jumping jacks for the team
    8/25 - Exercise challenge complete
    8/26 - Exercise challenge complete + 6 1/2 miles for the team
    8/27 - Exercise challenge complete + 100 crunches, 100 jumping jacks for the team
    8/28 - Rest - weight is 262 lbs (lost 3 pounds!)
    8/29 - Exercise challenge complete + 2.5 miles for the Team

    Mon 8/22 - All exercises done.
    Tues 8/23 - All exercises done (alt. for globe jumps and tuck jumps). 5 miles done for team and 100 ab crunches done for team. Wed 8/24 - DID NOT complete exercises -- REST day (will do them later in week).
    Thurs 8/25 - Did yesterday's AND today's exercises + 100 jumping jacks + 100 ab crunches for team.
    Fri 8/26 - DID NOT complete exercises; will do them tomorrow.
    Sat 8/27 - Did yesterday's exercises today with some alternates where necessary + 1.6 miles for the team. Will do today's exercises tomorrow.
    Sun 8/28 - DID NOT complete Saturday's exercises today (cut on bottom of my foot).
    Mon 8/29 - DID not complete exercises due to cut on bottom of my foot.
    Tues 8/30 - 5K done!
    Wed 8/31 - REST

    To date: 6.6 miles, 200 ab crunches and 100 jumping jacks done for the team.

    I also lost 9.25 inches this month too though!!! I think that's huge! Upon reflection of my efforts I did not give it my 100% due to camping birthdays and a few unlogged indulgences!! Regardless I am pleased with this!!

    Final weight 208 lost 11 lbs this month and down another pant size from 38 to 36. Very happy, thanks for the motivation.

    oh yes...and I've also pushed myself to run 2/3 minutes at a time with a 1 minute walk to 5 minutes of consistent running. Last year I was able to excercise on tready and burn 100 calories in 30 minutes..ie walking now I can do that in about 15 minutes!! While I did not have huge loses this August challenge did give me the push I needed to combine fitness with proper eating. I look for small victories over time rather than huge ones in a short time...
