oh, I am just losing my motivation. I am working out every day, well almost every day, but my eating habits are terrible! I am, I aam, I AM going to do better with next week's challenge!!0

I will try to crank it out today. Yesterday was a hard day for me but I am trying to get over my emotionalness and enter into a new normal.
I am so full of excuses for myself but that is going to end.
Hoping to have a semi-fasting day today.
I just want to add that you are all doing such an amazing job here. You motivate me constantly and I appreciate it. Sandy, even though you may feel like this is a "bad" week, I am looking at your numbers and I am totally impressed.. Angie you are doing so great!! You are smashing this! Sarah, How is it going? The numbers I saw are promising!
Suzanne, do not be discouraged. Play with the numbers. You are doing so great in your discipline so don't get down on yourself. Sometimes the answer is eating more, sometimes less. Play with it and seek the advice of those on here who are succeeding. I am always amazed at those who say that after significantly INCREASING their calories that they started to lose! One of my "friends" was running almost everyday, doing p90x, and eating under 1200 calories. She put her body into starvation mode (yes, she proved that it is real!!!), Even though she was doing all of that she gained back like 30 or 40 pounds (maybe more...) It wasn't until she upped her calories to over 2000 per day that she stopped gaining. Then after for a month of that she started to lose! She is now eating about 1800-2200 calories a day and losing. Still others stick to the 1200 formula and eat some or none of their exercise calories and are losing. So, everyone is so different. There really is no cookie cutter way to lose weight. You need to find what works for you. The other tip, is to seriously take your measurements. The scales are NOT the whole picture of what is going on especially if you are doing tons of aerobics!...
Oh, one last tip for everyone and Tausha, maybe this could be one of our challenges??...free weights or some type of resistance training. Without building up muscle and getting in lots of protein, we end up with saggy skin and even if we lose the weight we still look flabby.

Since today is Tuesday & I took Sat/Sunday off due to BF's wedding- I didn't do very well at this weeks challenges I have been under calorie wise, even after eating at the wedding I'm sure i burned off LOTS of caloires dancing like a crazy woman!! I love my water still but i KNOW that i did NOT burn the calories for this week's challenges!

JOJO-I have seen you do so much, I KNOW you can rock it ! I am guilty at not meeting all of this weeks goals-with me it is the whole water thing...been eating a LOT of crushed ice trying to get some there.
For everyone: do what you can and stay focused...if you slip, don't let that be an excuse to take the whole week off. Shake yourself off and get back on the horse tomorrow! One day may hurt you the next couple of days, but if you focus and work at it, it won't affect your overall loss (now, multiple days a week will...but not one). I actually believe going over a couple of hundred calories one day a week actually helps lose weight because your body gets a little boost. At least, my body seems to like it.

Ok, Im not going to make 5 days under calories this week. I planned my day yesterday but things didn’t go according to my plan. I ate my food and did 30 Day Shred but I didn’t get my jog/walk in. I was planning on going to the gym when my hubby got home. However, he got home late and I ended up falling asleep with my boys again. Well, I guess 2/3 for the challenge isn’t too bad. I'll post my final results tonight...0 -

Days Under Cal: 5/7 over on sodium every day so far and went over on calories on Saturday.
Didn't get a workout in yesterday -one of those days! But I got in a big one this morning which I'll post tomorrow and definitely made the 3500 burned challenge.
sodium is killing me again! Part of the problem for me is I eat ALOT. I am set to 1650 daily before exercise to maintain and usually burn anywhere from 400-750 per workout session. Depending on my day, I eat most, if not all those calories back. While MFP adjusts upwards your carb/fat/protein numbers, sodium doesn't change. What's weird is my rings aren't tight, my watch is loose and I don't feel bloated but I will see it on the scale.

1. Incorporate 45 minutes of strength training total for the week! (We will start this one slow in case some people aren't lifting.)
This can include free weights, weight machines, or using yourself (i.e. pushups, squats, etc..), resistence bands..etc... You get the picture. :0) THanks for the suggestion! :0) I love it!
2. Go OVER calories for 1 day! YES>.. GO OVER.... But...lets keep it real and don't go over by more than 300 calories! The other 6 days we are trying to stay under! (those who are ALWAYS under..this may help trick your body..and it gives us others a little day to play with not being perfect! :0) )
3. Burn at least 2000 calories!
4. 60 Cups of water for the week total!

Kory-I agree with you 100%!! I ALWAYS take one cheat day/ week at it seems to have worked wonders for my weightloss PLUS it keeps me from falling off the wagon every other day, which is a HUGE benefit!
Renee-keep your head up girl....maybe WHEN you preplan your cals...do it without your exercise included...that way in case you miss it you are still ok?! And then when you do it...you can treat yourself to a little snack instead!! You are doing great...just push forward!0 -

Overall, pretty good week. Drank more water than I have in the last 6 months combined, so it's a start. I wish I was a camel too...even my 'humps' are dehydrated, lol :blushing:0 -
Total shortfall week. Bailed on exercise 2 days cause I didn't feel good. We went camping over the weekend which I totally enjoyed lounging around. Totally lacking in enough exercise. This weigh in won't be a loss. Here is my summary:

Well guys I'm a big failure this week! TOM showed up and now my weight is back up. I'm not going to record a gain so let's keep it the same as last week. I am going to the podiatrist this morning for my plantar fasciitis. My main goal is to get a recommendation for the right kind of shoes for my feet in this condition so I can continue to work out. I love my Brooks but they are worn out. I may also see about custom orthotics. My deductible is met and my insurance covers them at 90%!0 -
I lost a pound this week to be at 186.0~ I still cannot believe that i have lost 50 pounds since January !
I was under calories all of this week !

It is amazing to see how many people are drinking more water than when they started! I again strive for a gallon a day. A gallon is 15.5 8 ounce cups, so if I get 16, I am doing well for the day. I admit it is hard, especially on the weekends. You did so well too. 92 glasses isn't exactly dehydrating yourself Keep up the awesome work and let's see some losing!

Girls, as for me, My weigh in was a bust this week. Weighed the same. I'm happy I didn't gain, an with the successes I've had the past few weeks, I'm due an even week. Either way, I'm going to hit it harder these next couple days. I leave for Vacation on Sunday, so if I"m not around as much after that, you know why. I will have internet at the hotel, but don't know how much I will be on it. Come on.. I'll be at the BEACH! lol.. But, I do still plan on checking in on you and trying to reach my goals even when "life" is happening! :0) I think the hardest part for me this next week will be staying under calories. I know that my husband wants to try some new restaurants...and face it...when you are on the road it is harder... BUT...I'm excited to give it a shot with the new guidelines of my South Beach eating plan. Wish me luck... prayers for our travel are appreciated.

I completely failed the challenges this week, but I still managed to lose 1.3 pounds. My weight today is 270.3. I haven't had any fast food this week, and the last 4 days in a row I was under my calories, so that helped me make up for the first 3.0
