  • Bonnie- congrats on being the first biker to finish!!!

I have a question for all of the bikers. Are you riding an exercise bike at the gym or riding a bike outside? I keep checking back and I am like how are they getting so many miles in such a short amount of time?

    Bonnie - Congratulations

Staci : I normaly ride my bike outside and it takes me 15 minutes for 1 mile but on the elliptical it only takes me 9 mins. So I do both. Sometimes I don' have time after work to ride outside so, I use the elliptical to replace the bike. (Elliptical is much better, it don't hurt my butt)

Hey...question for the lovely and talented Miss Becky. Do you still want us to input our mileage if we already reached our goal for a particular event? So even though I finished my walking/running already, I input the miles I did today...yes? Or will that make more work for you or Cynthia?

I'd keep tracking it on the spreadsheet. Not more work, that I know of! I think it's great to have the information and for all of us to be able to see. ALSO - it'd be fun to see how far we all get by end of month... especially as/if we start thinking about future challenges!

(P.S. yep, that was your opening... but it just fits in!)
  • My bike should read 9 miles I can't get it to work for me. I will update it tomorrow .

have a great day...or... good night

    You are so FUNNY HONEY!

    But speaking of future challenges.....

I would like to host the October challenge unless someone else has a burning desire to do so. I have a really fun idea that I think would push us all a little....

Steph, you know that you have been very busy with school and you might need the extra rest! I don't want you to feel tired with all your wonderful children. I suggest doing half sessions at the gym this week, just until you get settled into your new routine!

Hey Y'all, I'm not sure if I am entering stuff correctly into the spreadsheet. If someone could take a look I would appreciate any feedback/advice that you can offer. I think maybe the other members of team Hen-Pecked are not entering their data, but maybe I'm just not reading it right. As I said at the outset, I may not be the fastest, but I'm making steady progress. AND, my 13 year old daughter has suddenly decided to start getting up early and walking with me! Woohoo! I don't know how long it will last, but hey, I'll take it when I can get it. She doesn't have a weight problem, but she isn't active and I love to see her getting out for some exercise and being able to spend time together is a giant bonus. I love that kid so much that it hurts.

I've entered mine under my name. Just not in the group section. It says not to enter in the team section, so I have only been entering stuff under my name.

edited to add - looks like the team section hasn't been updated since Monday.

I've been entering under my name too, but haven't had our internet connected at home since Monday so I have a couple days to catch up on when we plug the router back in tonight :) Got the numbers written on a dry erase board in my kitchen so I don't forget.

I've been doing about 5 miles at a time on the bike, so it's slow and steady here as well. Working up to more, the worst part is that the bike seat hurts my seat! But I will finish by the end of the month, hopefully sooner!

I loved this post :heart: I love that kid so much that it hurts :heart: I'm right there with you. It's great that your daughter wants to walk with you. The best walks I've taken have been with my girls. Such a great time to talk about life. Enjoy!!

Ok, cool. I figured I just wasn't looking at it right. It is also my understanding that we enter ONLY under our individual names and the team section will update automatically. That's what I've been doing.

@Renae: The only downside of walking with my daughter is that she sort of slows me down (weird, I know). Oh, and yeah, I don't know if you all have any idea how much a 13 year old girl can talk, but let me tell ya' my ears are about ready to fall right off the sides of my head! LOL

I am so tired today. I did not even want to walk my kids to school this morning . i did of course but it really took so effort. i had so much energy last night, i took advantage of it by cleaning my entire house. Now I just need to get off my "beautiful wide butt" and get some swimming done.

My daughter's started the c25k programme with me - it's great to do this with them, isn't it? It's just a particularly good feeling to do something so good with your child. :-)

Well DONE Steph! That is a lot of swimming in one go! I am so proud of you!

And if you are done with the swimming....and I am done with the running/walking....and Biker Bonnie is done with the biking....I think that means the Stitch Witches have finished their triathalon!

  • :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: Wahoo! Great job witches!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Bobbie - Great job on finishing the biking so early! My butt would be kiling me right now if I did over 100 miles in a week. Keep up the great work.

I am making progress with my walking but my damn foot hurts so bad. I can usually walk 3.0+ on the treadmill but lately I have been sticking to around 2.7 because it doesn't hurt as bad. It's really slowing my progress down!

Guess I start the swimming tomorrow...and that is what scares me!

Nice going Witches - you must have magic powers to keep up with the Honey Badgers. I'd say every team had an impressive showing in this challenge. And the month isn't over. I intend to get my rear in gear now and do some biking and rope jumping. Yes - I know it's the 3rd time I've said that . . . but this time I mean it.

    Keep it going gang!

Way to go Stitch Witches and Honey Badgers!

Renae - I keep putting off the jump rope, too. I think it's going to be a lot tougher than it looks so I keep talking myself out of it!
