Clean Eating Club ~ January 2009

It's that time of month to fall off the wagon. I guess I just need to remind myself every month why I eat the way I do, by NOT eating that way for a day or two. No tracking today.... Snowed in.... Half-hearted workout.... :ohwell: Oh well. It's back to the gym in the morning!
It's not working for me to not add my exercise calories in every day. (I've been averaging them into the whole week instead.) I really need the mental reward of the extra few calories -- or extra few hundred on the best days! Eating the exact same number of calories every day gets much more tedious than having a different goal every day, for some reason! It's much more fun to vary things. :happy:0 -
Hey Cheryl! Sometimes it's a good reminder when you get off track and feel yucky! It motivates you to get back to the clean eating!
If it's not working for you, then add them in! You know what works best for you. I am such a routine girl, I need to vary them more often. It's hard for this OCD gal. :blushing:0 -

Hey Everybody!!!
Again bad me for MIA!! :blushing: Im still following the clean eating way of life. I have to admit that since changing my diet and eating more frequently I am noticing a big change in my lower body! I have incorporated alot of lower body routines in addition to P90 X and it's paying off.
Steph
Hey Steph! I'm glad to see you back and see that you're getting such great results!! Woohoo, girl!
Thanks Jess! Im trying to keep with the program. I have noticed a major difference in how my clothes fit and how I look in the mirror. I wanted to lose an additional 9 lbs but truly debating on whether or not I need to. I feel happy with me at the moment.

That's me too this week! Just so hungry! I'm eating. I figure my body must need the food for some reason. I'm not that worried about gaining weight, since I maintain pretty well. It's losing fat that I can't seem to do!
Oh well. Now that I have a bodyfat scale, I'll be able to know a little better what's going on with my body in the future. I'm at 22% (according the scale as well as the calipers :ohwell: -- I was hoping for less), so that's my starting point and I feel more knowledgeable about my body anyway!
I say eat! The body is always in cycle, and I know "satisfied" days -- when I feel like I'm getting plenty -- are just around the corner! (Probably after my period gets here. :grumble: )0 -

I really think that you need to listen to your body's signals. When you are really feeling hungry and feed yourself clean foods (you know if you're reaching for a bag of chips to snack you aren't really hungry! :noway: ) then you are on the right track! So now you have your starting point, and 22% bf is still great! I really need to get mine checked, I'm very curious!
That lovely TOM, makes us all want to eat more and I'm always more sluggish. Lucky me, I get mine every THREE weeks for some crazy reason. :huh:0 -

I'm feeling the same way! Why stress out over fat percentage when I feel good now and I'm comfortable with the way my clothes fit? Stressing just makes me eat more! :grumble:
Sorry I'm MIA this week guys. I'm having a bad week, clean eating wise. I'll be back on track when I'm motivated by a weight gain :noway: , LOL. :laugh:0 -
Hey Cheryl! Come on and post even when your eats aren't *perfect*. We all have our days!! Last night I wasn't feeling the greatest so I had a can of Progresso Hearty Tomato soup and a sandwich w/ deli ham. I was soooo bloated this morning from the sodium!!!! :grumble: It's amazing how your body reacts when you aren't used to it!0

I've been way too embarrassed to say that I've been binging on chocolate, buttered popcorn, and sometimes whatever I can find to eat, and not counting calories most of the time. :blushing: I've been taking time off from exercising, too, but that is good for you once in a while! I'll just come back stronger.
I got STS a couple days ago, but it's kind of a let down after waiting so long for it -- I haven't even opened it -- and I started doing BFFM a couple weeks ago. So now I don't know which program to concentrate on, but one thing's for sure: I'll never have to buy another strength training video again, and I'll know just about every strength move possible in the universe. Wow, it's one amazing program (43 DVDs!). I wonder if she was trying to grab onto the Beachbody craze. I've heard the programs are similar.
Sometimes I get too passionate about things, so that getting hit by a few disappointments all at once (and then combined with PMS :grumble: ) knocks me down for a little bit. I'll get back up because there's no way I'm going back to NOT eating clean (yuck) and not exercising on a longterm basis. I'm still eating largely clean. I think I'm just gearing up the energy to revamp my goals and expectations  because maybe they weren't as realistic as I thought they were. :ohwell:0 -
Oh, I just realized it's Feb. 1! Time for a new thread. :laugh:0
