Count me in too! I'm Charlie (a girl!!) from Berkshire. I've been on MFP for about 18months but only seriously since April. Have lost 33 pounds and have about 50 still to go and I'm flagging at the moment! Don't know if its the darker mornings and evening or the change in the weather but I have been nowhere near as good.

I have two little men (nearly 3 & 5yrs) and work full time.

Ooh defo count me in - I saw a couple of my MFP friends already have (waves at rivah and Charlie!)

I'm in the west midlands, I've got about 1/2 a stone to go, but that last 7lbs is proving stubborn! Since January I have been exercising consistently, doing 30DS, other JM DVDs, Wii fit, Zumba...I'm into week 3 of TurboFire - totally loving that!

I'm not working at the moment, but studying to be a counsellor and doing some voluntary work.

I've done my 30ds for today - on day 15 now so half way through (yay!) I can def tell a big difference in my hip area already,c ant wait to see the finished results now!

Well done! I think I am going to start the shred again - I was having a great time with it and was mid way through level 2 but then I had a nasty job interview and somehow my shot confidence led to giving up on my shredding!

Have done 7 days now. I am sick today so have to skip but defo can see a change.

Having a dinner that is basically all carbs...don't even feel bad about it HA!
Somehow I have still managed to stay under my allowance on everything today :)
Apart from sugar, but that cake just needed to be inside of my tum tum hehe!

Has everyone had a good day?
    Whats for dinner tonight?

    Hey all!
    Would like to join in!
I am 30 from the South West.
I have been using MFP on and off for a few months now, but seem to lose motivation. Trying to be more motivated to exercise more too. I am a student nurse and find the long shifts can play havoc if I haven't planned carefully. Also studying can be hard as I get the munchies so make sure no bad stuff is in the house!! I also seem to fall down at weekends if not working as I see them as weekends off!
Feel free to add me as a friend!

Haha! I thought that too! Level 2 is nasty. I had a quick peek at level 3 today and I don't actually think it looks as bad as level 2, or at least not as much of a jump as it is between level 1 and level 2. I guess it depends on the types of things you are good at or like doing. I hate all the plank moves and level 3 looks like it doesn't have quite as many. Does look a bit more intense on cardio though.

I have only ever lasted a few days on the 30DS and I give up :(
All of my muscles ache and I can't continue.
i am going to try it again soon, and I really hope I can get through at least a week this time :'D

It is kind of weird in that it is so intensely focused on some small muscle groups that it makes it hard to do it every day at first I think. I was doing a LOT of walking and a little gym as well but there were some days where I could barely move, my back and calves were so sore! Maybe try mixing it up with other things at first, maybe aim for doing it every other day until you can get your bod a bit more used to it?

yeah i think i might have to have a few days off between routines, and just carry on with a little light exercise on the days off.
i use the cross trainer every day, and in 20minutes you can burn over 400 calories on it! if you work really hard, at a high intensity :)

Hey gang, another Brit here! Surrey to be precise, though I'm originally form Somerset and my heart still firmly resides there!

re: 30 Ds my knees killed me when I did it, I'm not convinced re: the warm-up and cool down at all. I had much better luck doing the 30 day slimdown, which is a combo of 30DS, no more trouble zones and banish fat boost metabolism.
  • Hi, I would love to be part of Team UK Revival. I am 38 and live in Hampshire, I have been a member of MFP since May 11 and absolutely love this site. I have lost 42lb since May which I am really chuffed about but over the last week or so I have been really struggling to keep up the motivation.

I believe my struggles could be due to the time of year and the fact that I am getting a bit complacent with my weightloss. Sadly I am still classed as Overweight and still have a fair bit of weight to lose, at least 21lb, to be honest.

I really dont want to fall back into bad habits, so I am really hoping that by joining this group I can make some new friends and we can all help each other get through the autum/winter period.

Please friend me and any advice/support would be greatly appreciated and I will do my best to support you guys too... Good luck everyone :0) x

I am slowly getting around to adding everyone as a friend. The maximum of 5 friend requests in 10 minutes is pretty annoying, huh?
  • Thanks honey I have accepted your friend request thanks for that could do with a few new buddies, I need to get back on track now, just want to get this weight off.. Doesn't look like you need to lose any weight... ;0)
  • Count me in... what do we do now then?

Whatever you want! haha. Usually people just introduce themselves then we just have a bit of an ongoing group conversation about our journeys (as you can see the beginnings of). Welcome :)

I thought you were gonna set up a spreadsheet or something and whip us all into shape! Oh well, I'll have to take responsibility for myself then :glasses:

Here's my intro post if anyone wants to know a little about me:

Team UK is never full! Welcome :)

    Thanks :)

I live in the north west. Lost 23 lbs since end June 2011. On a mission to get back to pre babies - youngest has just started junior school so no excuses anymore. I have been doing 30ds and am currently on day 4 level 3 - nearly there !! I am a chocoholic so it always seems to appear somewhere in my diary !!!

Is the plan to add all people on the thread as friends too ??

    It's an old photo :(
I don't look big, but I am. Currently wearing a size 18 all over, but I have big boobs, so I don't mind about the top being a size 18, but I could do with smaller legs and hips etc.

Im in also, I am katy, 28 from sheffield.

Been at this waaaaay to long and still have 16lb to go. Hope I can get there for xmas. I have done the 30 day shred twice, first time I lost loads of inches no weight and second time I did it 30 days straight gave it everything and lost NOTHING. I am anti shred atm. Will no doubt try again soon, Im a sucker.
