-Hi! I'm eating 200 calories a day and taking unnamed Mexican weightloss pills I get in a brown paper baggie, what do you think?

    -That sounds very dangerous.

-PEOPLE HERE NEED TO LEARN TO BE MORE SUPPORTIVE! IF YOU DON'T HAVE SOMETHING NICE TO SAY DON'T SAY ANYTHING!!

    yep. basically this.

Arguments about muscle weighs more than fat piss me off.

It should be obvious that people who say that are speaking in terms of volume, but the schmarties out there who think they know everything love to point out how 1 pound = 1 pound and therefore the rest of us are dumb.

People asking the exact same **** over and over again.
Though that's second to the people who whine about "rudeness" when someone is telling an OP the truth about something instead of sugar-coating it and bull****ting them.

I wish that exercise calories weren't deducted from the overall available calories for the day. While I realize there are multiple schools of thought about eating one's calories, I'm not interested in doing it that way.

Questions on how much calories will I burn if (insert something other than exercising)? Not quite a pet peeve but I think it will become one very soon.

Why don't you do everyone a favor and just delete her.

Mine is how many people say they wanna "loose" weight instead of "lose" weight. I know misspellings are all over the Internet (their/they're/there, your/you're, etc.), but this one is rampant on MFP. And when you're a proud member of the Spelling Police, it really stands out. :)

AMEN!!! Drives me bat *kitten* crazy reading this!

I haven't been on MFP that long, and I am enjoying it very much so far. I think people are friendly and supportive, and I'm trying to figure out all of the forum, group, blog, community stuff... So I don't really have a pet peeve about posters (yet?). The only thing I am a little annoyed by is that I kind of wish MFP had the option to give more notifications, kind of like Facebook does. Like, if someone comments on a post that it would notify you on MFP instead of just sending a message to your e-mail (or having to scroll down your profile page), or if you comment on a blog & someone quotes you that it would notify you. Then you wouldn't have to scroll back through the blog posts to talk back and forth with people as much. Facebook allows you to turn notifications off or on with most things too, so if you don't like getting a lot of notifications then you don't have to, and you can even unfollow posts now. Anyway, I don't know, maybe I will get used to this and like it better. I definitely have some FB pet peeves too.

Oh, and I love how this is mostly geared toward fitness and health. I haven't enjoyed talking about that kind of thing on FB as much.

I totally agree with this. :)

People that clutter up the news feed with facebook/twitter type babble making SUPPORTING my MFP friends that much harder as I have to weed through all the blah-de-blah-blah to get to the food and exercise posts!

Edited to add - yes sometimes I babble about something but not 10 times a day :)

The opposite of this -- I want to know a little more about you than what you ate and how much you worked out! Not a pet peeve, so much as a preference :-)

This. I'm interested in Dude lost 1lb, but I'm more interested in: Dude just started a new weight lifting routine and is doing great! Or Dude found a way to cut (xyz terrible thing) out of his diet! or Dude wants to know what his friends have done to reduce (sodium/fat/carbs/whatever) or Dude's NSVs. Or even Dude needs help resisting the gigantic cake sitting near his desk!

These are real interactions with MFP friends and much more meaningful to me.

My peeve is: People using the site feed as a circle jerk; not even reading diaries or looking at the exercises. Don't tell someone "Great healthy plan!" when they had 900 calories of twinkies and 400 calories of soda and were "Under."

The above is why I keep my friend's list short. I like reading diaries, and looking at exercises, and I appreciate like minded people.

(heh - yes, i find how long this quote is getting pretty funny)

I completely agree with the circle jerk "support". I refuse to say a damned thing about a diary until i read it. And then I <shocker> give tips on what i see.

Another is the people whose profile shot is pornographic. Like the guys with the 6-pack abs whose slacks barely cover their privates. I realize that I may be in the minority on this one....LOL

Or the gals who have to show off a bunch of cleavage......yeah, we know you got boobs, big whoop!

No, by all means, please keep showing the cleavage......

    Sorry! :)
