My biggest pet peeve with MFP posters is those who have to quote the LONGEST post in the thread, making that thread a gazillion pages long..........really? We get the point........just quote a bit, we've all read the previous post, we GET it.

(or is this just me?)

lol.

heh - i totally do that.

my peeve is when people enter a 150+ replied thread and question something off the OP - something that we've answered a gajillion times.

People that clutter up the news feed with facebook/twitter type babble making SUPPORTING my MFP friends that much harder as I have to weed through all the blah-de-blah-blah to get to the food and exercise posts!

Edited to add - yes sometimes I babble about something but not 10 times a day :)

Mine is how many people say they wanna "loose" weight instead of "lose" weight. I know misspellings are all over the Internet (their/they're/there, your/you're, etc.), but this one is rampant on MFP. And when you're a proud member of the Spelling Police, it really stands out. :)

When people say they want to "loose" weight. Makes me insane, learn the difference, it's not hard!

Or when people say muscle weighs more than fat or that someone probably just gained muscle when they are up a few pounds, NO you are retaining water!

Or, when people don't use the freaking search function. Come on, do you really think you are the first person to ask a certain question, SEARCH first, if you don't find teh answer tehn ask. I mean come on, theres like 50+ threads a day on "How many caloried does 30DS burn?"

Whew, got a little heated there. Ha ha!

Mine is when people ask a question because they want advice from someone else's personal experience and someone answers with a www.lmgtfy.com (let me google that for you) answer. Why bother answering?

People that are way too literal. I mean, sometimes the post is just for fun.

The opposite of this -- I want to know a little more about you than what you ate and how much you worked out! Not a pet peeve, so much as a preference :-)

I haven't been on MFP that long, and I am enjoying it very much so far. I think people are friendly and supportive, and I'm trying to figure out all of the forum, group, blog, community stuff... So I don't really have a pet peeve about posters (yet?). The only thing I am a little annoyed by is that I kind of wish MFP had the option to give more notifications, kind of like Facebook does. Like, if someone comments on a post that it would notify you on MFP instead of just sending a message to your e-mail (or having to scroll down your profile page), or if you comment on a blog & someone quotes you that it would notify you. Then you wouldn't have to scroll back through the blog posts to talk back and forth with people as much. Facebook allows you to turn notifications off or on with most things too, so if you don't like getting a lot of notifications then you don't have to, and you can even unfollow posts now. Anyway, I don't know, maybe I will get used to this and like it better. I definitely have some FB pet peeves too.

Oh, and I love how this is mostly geared toward fitness and health. I haven't enjoyed talking about that kind of thing on FB as much.

Another is the people whose profile shot is pornographic. Like the guys with the 6-pack abs whose slacks barely cover their privates. I realize that I may be in the minority on this one....LOL

Mine is the "fitness police" who troll the forums and think they know everything.... they know what worked for them, not for everyone. Yes, I find it awesome to hear their stories, but no I don't need to read a post with 50 people jumping on one person who asks about a cleanse or something that isn't the "fitness police" preferred method of losing weight!

Edited for typos - I'm horrible at that! haha

I am with AliciaBeth78 on the fitness police issue. I mean, so you look like a god/goddess...we get it, but verbally knocking people over like a schoolyard bully is asinine!
