Good Morning all! Hope today will be a great day for all.

It's raining here so not much outside!

M's garden is growing like a weed though! I hope it's not wees that are growing.

Sam - I'm a recovering scale addict so I feel your pain about the get on, get off, take off sports bra, get on again....WTH?! Therefore, I only get on the scale naked or not at all anymore. Otherwise, I try to convince myself that my socks weigh 2 lbs.

In an effort to make this an All Sara All the Time page, I'm posting again. After having bruised parts & parts I couldn't move for 3 days after my first spinning class, I decided to give it another go. :drinker: It went okay. I catch myself staring at the clock sometimes, but I do like the instructor. I just don't like my quads burning like...well...I can't think of a nice word to put there. I'm going to try it one more week next week & see if I like it any more after that. If anything else, this is good training for the summer. Doug & I are going to get bikes, a bike trailer for the boys & a bike seat for Tabitha so we can get out & enjoy the summer weather & get some exercise at the same time. Spinning should be good training for that, right?! Right?! Please?!

Yeah I should know better. But yet again the scale said 179 again this morning! :grumble: Poopsicles (thanks Janie)

I know what you mean, Sam! At least you aren't creeping above 179. That's something. When I "marla" I go up & up & up. It's special. :grumble: It's hard being a scale addict. We should form a support group.

My spin instructor came in today & said, "boy did my weekend suck. I'm taking it all out on you." :indifferent: It was a tough one! I think part of my problem with spin is that I need to go to a physical therapist to figure out what's wrong with my left leg & I still haven't done it. It's a long story, but I really should go...but spinning is more fun & I wanna go to that instead!

NEVER! I like spin instead!

I'm honestly scared about it. I've had the problem for years & it got worse with each pregnancy. I FINALLY got a doctor to agree that something just isn't right on top of having a "dead nerve" and now I'm too chicken poo poo to go to PT & figure it all out. I think I'm afraid that they're going to tell me to stop exercising until PT is done & I just can't do that. I mean, I COULD do that, but where would that leave me after PT is over, kwim? *sigh* time to put on my big girl panties, i suppose.

Hittin' the ground running-- as usual. (beats hittin' Andrew-- ha.)

    Have a great day everyone--

    i don't know....that can be pretty fun:laugh:

 I'm sure you got some good hits in for the fun time that was the Sugar House. When he was telling the story, all I could think was, "And Beth is STILL in line with a FIVE year old! YIKES!"

he was actually really good and he didn't even know what he was waiting in line for. after the first 20 minutes he got a little antsy, and asked what we were doing. i told him we were waiting to get ice cream and that kept him happy until it started snowing then he spent the last 10 minutes catching snow on his tongue. man that was a long line

Sooo... webMD says to subtract my age from 220 for maximum heart rate...

Since I am older than -8 years old, I would have to guess my HRM is not working properly - poopcycles...

    Back to the drawing board..

LOL @ poopcycles. HA! Is that like a bicycle made of poo? Sometimes my HRM shoots down like that for no reason at all...that I can see. Make sure the electrode thingys are moist enough. Someone on another thread suggested using a gel instead of just water & I started using aloe vera gel. It hasn't done it since. So weird.

I was more worried about the 228 heart rate - physiologically impossible I think.

Well, I am still alive and feel pretty good, so will just call it weird..

poopcycles = popcicles made of poop - even yuckier than a bike..

    Go spinning - I love it, but haven't been in a while..:angry::angry:

time to get out the bike rack and strap my bike on my car for workout lunches

    Hey kids...happy Monday!

Not going to stay on long, but I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I seem to have found the icky germs that all the girls are passing around at work, so I asked to come home early and rest. Nice to know what actually being able to rest and take care of myself when I am sick is like  . Didn't think I was going to survive 6 more hours at my desk without putting my head down and going to sleep. Off to continue the doze-a-thon. Later gators!

That sad smiley is supposed to be me sweating bullets. I'm totally freaking out about the performance tonight. I have terrible stage fright. Someone else play for me please? I don't think I can live through this. :frown:

LOL I don't think Andrew & Beth's son could get the music down in time.

Nicky - It'll be okay. Just remember that with piano, you can screw up & not a lot (if any) people in the audience will notice. You'll do great, I'm sure! Just take deep breaths & you'll be fine. You know the music & that's all that matters. *hugs*

    Hello black team:

Niki: it's probably after your performance by now but I bet you made it through in one piece. In fact I am sure you were great!

So if it is incredibly embarassing and it can possibly happen it happens to me. I think I have a boyfriend at the gym now. And it is entirely my fault lol. Let me explain.....

It's week two of the couch to 5k program. And I am looking for a way to make the run a bit more interesting to I start searching for c25k pod casts. (For those who don't know what these are, they are music tracks that have points in the music that instruct you to start running or change to walking and they follow to c25k program). So I listen to a few of them that are out there and they are all techno and I am not a big fan of techno... not a bit. I finally find one that some girl has posted on her blog that started with a little Bob Marley and some other pop tunes so I figure hey this is better than techno.. So I am golden. I upload that bad boy to my blackberry and head off to the gym. I pop the head phones into the blackberry, get up on the treadmill and start a runnin. About 10 mins into my run the podcast has had some decent tunes and has done well to instruct me on my walk/run intervals. At about this time this guy that I often see at the gym hops on the treadmill next to me and starts his jog. Well....not all the songs included in this pod cast are my cup of tea per say and I begin to realize that this particular mix is definately the work of a woman. Problem is I have a habit of getting my hand caught on the headphone cable and yanking it out of the jack. I of course did this just as the chorus of "It's raining men" was starting up and before I know it the cable from my headphone is dangling and my blackberry is BLASTING "It's raining men" at FULL volume. Needless to say I scrambled to get that damn jack plugged back in, but not before the guy next to me said "Nice song" and gave me a frightningly knowing smile. I don't think anyone else was close enough to hear but I get the feeling that boy is going to be grinning at me every time I see him. Oh boy..... Sometimes I feel like I am living in a sitcom.
