I have tears running down my face, Andrew! OH EM GEE, that's hilarious! Good gym story! LOL

Hey, Sandy! I'm not sure how long the actual challenge is going, but our team isn't interested in disbanding any time soon. I think we're stuck with each other forever. Great job on the 35#!

Morning, all! Speech therapy this morning & I'm not sure what's on my workout plate for the day. Something at home, but I'm not sure if it'll be something new or something old. Hmmm...any suggestions? NOT running!

I am challenging myself to 'exercise where I can'

I had to go to 4 different police dept yesterday and always have to park waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay in the back. So walking was good.......but I pushed to walk really fast. Then when I came to a median with a 1 ft high curb, I balanced on it and walked all the way around. There is a jail right there and I could hear the guys hooting from the roof top yard. Funny as hell.

Then I had to wait 30 min for the report so I stood on 1 leg and did balancing exercises for the whole time. I am waiting for the dudes with the white coats to take me away!!

Have a great day Black Team!!

Jeannie - It must be hilarious to watch you. You seem to get a workout in whether you are at jail (?) or waiting in line to vote. I just imagine all the people around you watching with amusement as you do your thing.

Harley is in her screaming for fun mood. (When isn't she in that mood anymore?...This too shall pass. This too shall pass.) She was only up for about an hour before I couldn't take it anymore and laid her back in her crib. It should work out though because maybe now I'll be able to get a workout in before I have to get ready to take her to get her Easter/7 month pictures taken at 12:30.

Yesterday I did half an hour on the elliptical. I'm getting over a cold and I just hadn't felt like working out for a few days so I figured I'd ease back in yesterday. Then I did pilates and even though my HRM chest strap didn't slip this time, I still didn't burn many calories. I know pilates isn't going to get my HR going crazy fast. But it worked out that I burnt less than sitting still. Am I so "zen" while doing pilates that my HR drops and I actually burn less than being lazy sitting watching tv?! :noway:

I wanted to work out more in the evening. When Dave got home I told him that while I was sitting at the dining room table doing a sudoko puzzle. He said "Let's go then." So we went for a walk, me pushing Harley in her stroller and Dave walking the crazy dogs. It was a little chilly but since it wasn't windy, bundling Harley in a coat, hat, and blanket, she was fine.

I'm not "Marla"-ing but I've been yo-yo-ing lately between about 4 pounds. It's a bit discouraging so I'm really working hard to not just go crazy and stuff my face. Dave was afraid of not losing. That lasted for like 4 days and now he's back to losing like a guy. :noway: :grumble:

I'm crying - this is so funny...

Andrew - careful at the gym... I really need your funny stories to keep me sane.. way to go with c25K!!

Sandy - welcome, even if you are just browsing...

Jeannie - You are a true fitness enthusiast - my hero!!

Lori - way to get your exercise in - don't sweat the pilates, your HR may not go up, but you will be a toned goddess..

I've gone off coffee again to try to move the scale in the proper direction for tomorrow.. wish me luck. I have also been yo-yo-ing and do not have a significant weight loss behind me to blame on this.. just dumb stupid luck (and apparently a lack of Y chromosome!!).

planning a 30-Day shred and some intense Wii stuff.. have to make do as the pool is only available Mon and Weds for this week and next and then closed for 2 weeks... I expect I will go mad...

Get your last chance workouts in folks....

    Okay guys.

HOW does one put on four pounds overnight? I'm so annoyed at the scale.

In other news, the concert went well but HOLY MOLY!

It was a competition/performance and during ajudication she got up to check where my parents were and this woman came storming down the aisle and started yelling at her. DRAMA. I missed it all because I was in the back warming up.

After warm up we came out and I did my thing. For this one song there are 16 pages so I broke it up into four pieces and have to toss the pages three times. It's pretty nerve wrecking actually because if pages catch I might toss too much, or if I take too long to flip I lose my place. ANYWAY, the first page turn came up and I tossed the first set of four and some of the ladies in the choir JUMPED because they didn't know. It was HILARIOUS.

Afterwords the judge didn't say a word to me so I guess I must have done well. But everyone was laughing about the page chucking. "Nicole, you CAN have a page turner you know?" - is what I kept hearing. HAHA.

Nicky - Yea for you! Good job at the concert! :flowerforyou:
I'm guessing it's stress pounds or water weight. Either that or being friends with Marla turns people into sponges. Sponge-Bob Black Team?

Jeannie, WTG, who says you need a gym to exercise.

Lori,I agree with Janie, you'll be our toned goddess.

Janie, Hope you have a great weigh in after giving up on the coffee.

Sara, Sam and Marla...Crazy as ever.

Well I surprised myself yesterday with C5K I guess I am in better shape than I thought. Those 5 minute runs passed in no time. I know hubby was surprised.

Bad company corrupts good character, so scripture says-- or in this case, good metabolism.

well it looks like a long night on the treadmill for me after BL. I am once again back at 179. I tried to do the calorie thing with out the cardio thing but I think my body needs the cardio.:noway: :grumble:

I haven't been sleeping well and have had migraines for about 2 weeks now. I don't know if it's bc I'm getting allergies or if something is wrong with my head. Pollen has been pretty bad here but the head thing is all I have. IDK!!

Is it spring where you are? It could just be the changing seasons. Some people are more sensitive to that kind of thing. I know I get a ton of headaches in the spring because I'm allergic to snow mould and as the snow melts the mould gets in the air.

Well, all I know is I'm waiting for the hormones to chill. This must be the month that my "real" ovary is doing it's thing. I only have one working side (yeah, I know, sorry Andrew-- TMI-- close your eyes for a bit) Nine kids-- one ovary, one tube-- amazing, no?

But, every other month I seem to have worse physical symptoms than other times. Body doesn't like coming back to normal. My eyes are still puffy, I'm short of breath, every cell is retaining right down to my fingernails. It's really obnoxious, especially in light of all my running, crunches, pushups and calorie counting. To be this puffy from food, and to have "earned" the extra pounds on my frame, I would have had to have overeaten a "you know what' load of calories--

So-- grrrrr-- this is certainly frustrating, as I know you all know. I truly thought I'd have been "this close" to my initial goal of 50 off by now-- and my body wants to go the wrong way.

I did read something on the SAHM boards-- something about using your basic metabolic rate as your calorie goal, and then just considering your exercise as your deficit or something. I think the adding in of my exercise calories is biting me in the rump-- I don't know-- it's a mystery.

Still-- I know once these hormones die down and the puffs are gone, I will be rewarded for all my running. I know the difference by now of "real" weight and the water weight that invades my very soul-- yes, even my soul is bloated--

Yeah-- I know, chatty tonight-- deal with it, people-- Hope lost her basketball playoff game. Tears, tears and more tears. She was a beast on the court-- in a good way, that is. She lost 20-15 and scored 13 of her team's points. She played her heart out.... Daddy took her to China Buffet for dinner. She's a crableg-aholic--

Heading to tuck in some kidlets and head to work-- big black team hugs to all!!!!!!!!

    Hey kids...happy Tuesday night!

I have to confess that I haven't exercised since Saturday because of the grossness/cold/allergy crap going on, but I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things tomorrow. Still get wiped out really easily, but easing into it is better than doing nothing. Needless to say, c25k has been put on hold. I hope I can pick up on week 3 next week, really don't want to go back a week.

Andrew- Try some gangsta rap next time. No one should even THINK about messing with you then.

Janie- Way to go on the Shred! I did it once and was traumatized

Marla- Nothing wrong with being chatty, that's what we do best on this team!

    Sandy- Welcome aboard!

Jeannie- I can picture you getting your workouts in anywhere; talk about making the best use of your time!

Bobbi, Janie, Lori, Sara, Amanda, Amelia, Nicky and and anyone I missed...HELLO!

I'm off to enjoy some Family Guy reruns since BL isn't on...hasta!

    Evening black team:

How was everyone's last chance work out? I hit played on the elliptical tonight...giving my shins a break from the running. I played around with the resistance alot and really pushed myself hard tonight being the last chance work out and all. Calorie burn for tonight's last chance work out was 1400. And I AM tired. BL was cool Tara is apparently a machine. As far as the black team as a group....When Kristen was standing on the scale tonight she said something that really hit home for me.... "It's sad that there are so many people out there living in their prison of a body... They need to know that with the right motivation and "THE RIGHT PEOPLE" anything is possible." Amen to that black team. I feeled blessed every day that I found "THE RIGHT PEOPLE". and I truley do feel like anything is possible.

Good luck with your weight ins tommorow!

    Cheers :drinker:
