I never cared one way or another if a guy had tattoos. Now I like them. (Which is good if you've seen Dave. )

I'm still trying to talk Doug into the idea of me getting one. *sigh* We'll see. I don't even know what I'd want to get any more!

OMG!! My daughter is Madeline and we call her Maddy - have to show this to her...

Not a tatoo girl myself, but like Marla can really appreciate the bicep bands - especially on a surfer...

Back to work, before I get caught..

This is hilarious. I'm a sucker for tattoos on a guy (BF has none), and I have two myself with plans for a few more. One of these days I'll have to show them off to you peeps, but they are on my back thus making for an awkward camera angle. I think the next one will be on my foot or inside of my wrist. This line of conversation is not helping the ink bug!

I've got 3 so far. A ladybug on my big toe, my wedding bouquet on my back/shoulder, and Dave's name with flowers around my wrist.

Once we're done having kids, I'll get their names around my other wrist and something for them on my other shoulder. If I can get back into good shape after having (hopefully) 3 kids, I want to get flowers down my side/hip for Dave's, mine, and the kids' birth month flowers.

I hate GETTING tattoos but I like HAVING them.

Dave had, I think, 15 tattoos when we started dating. He has both arms, his chest, and one side. Since then he's got my name on his wrist, Harley's name on the side of his finger, and his whole lower leg - knee to foot - done with sea stuff (mermaid, dolphin, his ship from the navy).

Don't sweat it Andrew-- whenever you have time is fine--

Great job on the workouts-- a Father's Day 5k sounds awesome, young man-- go for it!!!!!

Tattoos? Ick-- sorry guys-- hate 'em. Except for that little armband tattoo thingie that hot guys have around their bicep-- that's totally sexy.

Marla then I won't tell you that your fearless leader has 13 of them!

You go girl  I have two on my back (right shoulder and tramp stamp), but I want one on my wrist or foot, one on my other shoulder and possibly something on the pelvic bone area. The next one I'm planning is my cat's paw prints, if I can get her to sit still so I can get them!

OH MY-- that's a lot-- :noway:

Ehh-- I hate tattoos, not those who wear 'em. ( don't get the attraction, but whatever floats yer boat, you know?)

My strongest memory of my dad is sitting on his lap as a little girl, tracing the flowers on his "Sam" ( his name) tattoo, with the flowers surrounding it-- I'd sit and trace it forever-- it was the thing to do in the Navy, so he said. His mom 'bout flipped her lid when he came home with his name on his arm, and she hollered at him to at least make it look attractive, so he added the flowers-- so legend has it.

And thus concludes this chapter of Marla's history--

hey-- question-- so I'm doing some faggy arm exercises nightly or so with 2 pound weights-- not really doing much, but I do a whole bunch of sets and I do feel it by the time I'm done.

Will 10 pound weights make me bulk up or will high reps still tone?? I mean, we're only talking bicep, tricep, and some stuff for my bra area flabbula in the back-- thoughts oh wise team?

I think I have 3 pound weights around, too-- curious as to your thoughts--

I don't think you'll bulk up using 10 pound weights, I would guess that would give you more definition. I've been using the 8 pounders for that area and haven't gotten any bigger. Just my .02 from the last few weeks' experience. I'd be interested to hear other people's thoughts.

I suggest starting with 5lbs. weights. Ladies aren't designed to "bulk up" unless you take some roids or do it insanely. Have you tried TurboSculpt yet, Marla? 40 min., gets the HR up & it has really made a difference in my body. Not a HUGE difference, but there is one!

Chalene Johnson (of TurboJam fame) does some serious weight training & doesn't look bulky, IMO.

Oh, to look like her. *sigh*

I have tried the turbo sculpt, and I love it-- but the 40 minutes is the problem-- I'm looking for something to do in my room after my crunches. I'm usually doing these after midnight on my way to bed. I don't have 5 pound weights right now, so what do y'all think? 10lb or 3lb? Three sets of this, that and the other, more or less--

Keep at it, Ms. Beachbody-- you'll get there-- !!!!!!

Oh, you're so sweet to me. :smooched: Start with 3lbs for a couple weeks, then go to the 10s. I just read something about mixing up weights while training. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

    Nite Andrew-- you, too--

Had a great run-- so beautiful here right now-- low 50s, cool-- a bit breezy. Hubs joined me for my last lap, which was nice! And he brought Bandit-- Siberian husky from hell--

Hope you're all enjoying your last minute workouts-- wondering where Miss Amanda and Miss Tresa are, specifically-- hope you ladies are hanging in-- Bobbi, Roni, Janie, Lynnie, Jeannie-- awful quiet this week, hope life isn't crapping on you all--

    Nite nite--

I'm still here as well - thanks for the shout out.

Life is crapping on me a bit right now, but still holding it together. Jobs suck - time to win the lottery.

Went to look at a nice horse this week - could be my next soul mate, but need to get to know him a bit more first. The price is right at least - daughter moved away and mom just wants the horse to have a good home. More later.

Scale was not good to me today, but I had a pretty hard weight work out yesterday, so hoping it is muscle water retention... anything to make me hesitate when I want to hurl the scale across the room.

Good vibes for weigh ins today.. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<skinny>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Who has the next challenge - I need a butt whooping..

Morning everyone! Good luck with weigh-ins! I'm glad to say my scale was nice to me today...after several weeks of gaining, I am back down to what my ticker says! (I don't change it when I gain.)

    Whoo hoo!
