According to my husband, "aunt" and "Italian" I say funny
I say "aunt" how it's spelled, and supposed to be pronounced (not like the bug, 'ant')
And "Italian" I say with a short 'i' instead of EYEtalian. He makes fun of me >:(
Does your husband say eye-taly too?0 -
Rear. I have trouble with too many r's as well.0

worcestershire sauce
I honestly believe it's stranger if you CAN say this.
Yes - this one is crazy - can anyone say it!
Woostah-shurr.
Really :-)
I didn't think I had trouble with that word until I started trying to say it on this thread. Now I have no idea how to pronounce it. :laugh:0 -
TBH I tripped over all my words on the daily... really not sure why. My daughter has the same issue.. only worse. Not sure if it is a neurological deal or what. One word though I have had to say a lot this week is Colonoscopy. AND I couldn't even spell it here... because I can't say it.. had to look it up for the spelling..... lol I guess as well.. MFP doesn't even know how to pronounce it because it is telling me my spelling is wrong.. but I looked it up!!! HAHAHHAHAHHAH0

Specifically.
I don't know why but I can't say that word without speaking slowly.0 -
"Dollar".
I say it like daw-ler. And I got mocked for sounding like a "Canadian". Which I really don't think is a bad thing, but apparently it's something worth making fun of when you live in Michigan.
There's a lot of words like that, actually. Pretty much anything with both an "a" and an "o" in it.
ah, the good old flat michigan a. "laaaaaaaansing".0 -

I do both of those, and so does everyone else I've ever talked to. Those aren't incorrect pronunciations.0 -

I talk like a nervous chipmunk, I always sound excited. Everything is mispronounced. T's sound like d's and words slur together. I got picked on a lot when I was a kid.0

Crayon
this is funny, I've met plenty of adults who still say Crown, it's hilarious to me
When I was in elementary school, I asked someone for a "Crown" and they laughed at me. It was painful. I definitely will never forget that day.0
