If you think this forum is bad, you should visit some of the Disney forums. No joke. :)

i am a snob. I lift my nose at people that starve themselfs. And those who wear spendex at the gym.

This!! Except I can deal with the spandex. Haha.

I've been on here regularly now for a week and have read some cool stuff. Also I've noticed that some people seem so stuck up!

I normally wouldn't post on this type of thread(I am pretty selective--read "stuck up"), but I couldn't resist...that's all I have to say.

It's an observation. If your insulted then that's on you.
^ sounds like a fairly snobbish remark.

    Whatever.

Take the know-it-alls with a grain of salt. If they really did know it all, they wouldn't have had a weight problem to begin with. I prefer the people who have worked hard, learned lots along the way, and share their opinions without being judgmental. The forums are crawling with a lot of mean spirited people, but that's on ANY site. There are SO many supportive people around here. If you're positive, you'll find them. :)

    I agree!

Seems a strange "intro" for your third post to be insulting people.

    This.

Meh... I take it you have never been on a mommy forum before? You want snobby, go try one of those out for a day or two... To be honest, this has to be one of the most mild and laid back forums I have ever been in... and I'm members of quite a few...

This is nothing....parenting forums are the worst! honestly they shouldn't be called parenting forums they should be aptly named "my childs better than yours" forum!

Oh and if you don't like what people say do as you would if they said it in person......walk on buy....or punch them in the face
becuase thats how I roll - kidding!

I find it comical how many have taken this post out of context. The meaning of the word snobbish being "those who incline to social exclusiveness and who rebuff the advances of people considered inferior" is what I'm speaking about. Some people reacted in a positive way and said they would mind being my friend. Thats great. I appreciate the positive support.

Also, I'm sorry to offend anyone...

I'm not offended or anything, but I don't really understand the point of saying to a huge open forum of vastly different personalities that there seem to be a lot of snobs. It's rather off-putting, like it doesn't make me want to immediately send you a friend request.

Just a tip, calling people snobs, prob not the best way to get friends. After all, we are all here to get healthy and make friends with people who will be supportive of our goals.

OMG. OMG I know!!! I was on Cafemom for a while and just could not DEAL with how awful people were to each other about their parenting styles. And the bragging...omg, just don't even go there.

You should try Babycenter... it's worse... even though I did make some awesome friends from there... but still.
