    So I have a neighbor who is constantly saying that she is so much better than her husbands ex girlfriends because they were "fat". Mind you I am pleasently plump. She seems to have this idea that because she is skinny she is a catch. Let me say this- the only thing she has going for her is her weight. The best was when she said to me "Someone like me should be married to a Dr or a lawyer."

    So skinny girls are a catch and fat girls aren't ????


    I see you have met my sister in law!!! She used to go on and on about all the moms at her kids school that were overweight and pretty much said that they didn't deserve the big rings on their fingers, nice cars and, well, to be happily married. *shakes head*

    I wouldn't hang out with someone who is inconsiderate like that. I myself, am insecure and it would be nice to have half of her confidence. I would not do well listening to this all the time and I would not want to go out with someone like her. Is she nice when she's not talking about her "thinness"?

    well, her body may look smokin'....but there doesn't seem to be much going on between her ears. There's a whole lot more to being a worthwhile person than how you look. Actually, it doesn't have ANYthing to do with how you look. In some ways, someone like her probably ought to be pitied. Looks fade, everyone gets older.....and then, what will she have? Not much.

    I realized long ago that I just love women of various shapes, sizes, colors and creeds. I find both an athletic and curvy body sexy for different reasons. However, heroin chic thin is completely unattractive.

    If pornography is any indication....I've....ahem...heard that curvy gals are quite popular in that vocation.

    I'm bigger than any of the women my husband dated before me ( one of them, not by much, plus I'm a bit taller). Anyway, my husband is lucky to have me because I laugh at his jokes. :laugh: Seriously, I'm one of those woman who find goofiness hysterical, and apparently, those who came before didn't. We have been happily married for 16 years, and every day he treats me like I'm a catch!

    My point? I have never felt the need to tell my neighbors how lucky my husband is to have me because his old girlfriends never laughed at his jokes. Why not? Because I don't need them to reinforce what a catch I am. My husband does that every day! He is quite a catch as well! (Nope. Not a doctor or lawyer, but I man who makes his wife feel like she is awesome, even when the mirror tells her differently! )

    I saw a bumper sticker once that said "I may be fat but your plain ugly and I can go on a diet!" Soooo hate the I'm skinny so I must be wonderful attitude. I wonder if she realizes how ugly her attitude makes her!

    She's one of those people who tell you what a pretty face you have isnt she?!?!
