I agree with TIME. It's so hard to be patient. Pictures, no matter how much you hate your befores, are extremely important. Being able to look at your progress side by side is huge. I'd have given up by now cuz I don't see it looking at myself. I don't feel it. But seeing it side by side I can go "yup, there's changes happening". It's taken me 7 months of work to get what little results I see. I think 2 years will be a good goal time frame for my ultimate goal. Slow and steady.

So... no matter what exercise you are doing, always and I mean ALWAYS have your core engaged (stand up straight and suck in that belly) - on the treadmill, while lifting weights... ALWAYS...

    i totally agree!

I haven't done anything in particular to change the belly. I've lost about 15 kg (33 lbs) and do really heavy weight training for the entire body.

My before pictures are not the best because I did not allow pictures to be taken of me in my bikini.

These are 1 year after 6th baby was born. I normally lose the baby weight easier, but not this time.

I teach Zumba everyday, but really any cardio will work. I burn around 400-500 calories per day. I eat 1600-1900 calories per day. What I think has helped is what I eat. I eat around 100 carbs/day and 150 protein/day.

I do not do crunches, but a lot of my songs include a lot of pumping the hips, which is like doing crunches standing up. I do planks, and ab vacuums. I highly recommend ab vacuums! Those work your core and actually pull in your abs.

Since I am the teacher, I design my class so we are burning fat but also toning up our muscles. So, when we get rid of that fat, we have pretty lean muscle underneath. I do believe in muscle building, it just makes a body look fit and healthy!

I still have stretch marks and loose skin from having six kids, but it does look a lot better.

OMG YOU HAVE 6 BABIES !!! you look amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you bumped this as it has just pushed me on. I felt I will always have my horrible hang belly but now I think this may not be true looking at these pictures.

Buuuump. My leftovers are all on my belly and I felt vaguely fatalistic about that, but these pictures prove otherwise. Thank you.

I started in September of 2010. I've been within 5-10 pounds of the weight I am now for a few months, but strength training has dramatically changed my body composition in that time.
