    speaking of donuts-- :embarassed:

I wanted one-- so I had one.

Entenmann's products were on sale, so I bought some "for the kids.' Those chocolate do-hickies looked good--

So, I figured-- eh, WTH-- it was yummy.

Dave isn't here to yell at me-- ha ha--
OMG.......U ATE A DONUT????....eeewwww describe what it tasted like....in detail....lol....no i'm ok...it's ok......
April honey.........you must look away..........there is only carnage and bits of the fluffy doughnut splattered on the table.......oh the humanity:cry::cry: :brokenheart:

Good morning team. I met my 5,000 caloire burn goal yesterday. It felt so good. I'm taking today off. Here's what it looked like:

Monday: 1146 calories- Ran/walked 3 miles, 6 miles on the elliptical and lifted (shoulders)
Tuesday: 1216 calories- Ran/walked 3 miles, elliptical 3 miles and lifted (legs)
Wednesday: 777 calries- Ran/walked 2 miles, bike 3 miles, elliptical 3 miles, lifted (chest and triceps)
    Thursday: rested
Friday: 1160- Ran/Walked 3 miles, bike 5 miles, 3 miles elliptical, lifted (back and biceps)
    Saturday: 874- Ran 2 miles, walked 4

My heart rate monitor says a total of 5,173 calories for a total workout time of 10 hours.

It feels good to have met the goal I set for myself. I realized a few things in the process. It's good to work out, it's good to push yourself, but you have to listen to your body. I'm not saying I'll never hit 5,000 or more caloroes burned in a week again, I just know that I have to fuel myself properly, listen when I need a break and respect what my body can do.

So with that said, I want to thank my body for cooperating with me this week. I also want to promise my foot I will do lower impact stuff this week, not so much running and walking and give it a chance to feel better.

Man that is awesome Lori!! cant wait to see what the scale says!!:flowerforyou:
I am so proud of you for sticking with it for the full week!:flowerforyou:

Wow-- I am so bloomin' tired I can't see straight-- hello my beloved team.

We're getting a good test of what life will be like if my mother-in-law comes to live with us, and it will certainly tax us. We're in a very rare situation-- teens graduating high school, toddlers cutting teeth and elderly parents needing around the clock care. These are the times that try mens souls, my friends-- I pray that I am found worthy when all is said and done.

This day found us on the go from the moment we awoke. Shopping for graduation dinner barbeque goodies, cake baking, fruit salad making, macaroni salad prepping-- the house was abuzz. Plus we need to assign one body to Caleb and one to grandma at all times. Interesting stuff.

The graduation was lovely. Had to be moved indoors-- bit rainy. Thankfully I was able to get grandma a seat, but oh my poor piggies-- three students families had to pick up posthumous diplomas for their deceased children-- heartbreaking-- we are blessed my friends. Nobody needs the reminder more than yours truly--

Dragging my weary behind to bed-- don't know when I'll get my typing done, but it can't be done tonight.

Hug your babies, kiss your spouse-- trials be damned-- we're blessed, folks.

thanks for the reminder. i was just thinking how lucky i am this am--yes, annoyed as all get out that dog won't be quiet and must get up at 5 AM, BUT--wow, my hearing works, and my legs work, and we have $ for dog food etc, and the weather is great, and my vision allows me to see the changing morning light and and and
you're right marla--so much to be grateful for, both big and small.
congrats to the graduates, btw. and wow--you are churning up the wt loss!

Hi Stacey!! Glad you came on in--

Thanks for the kind words-- I remind myself publicly often of the things I forget all too quickly in the darker times, when I'm weary and prone to whining-- times are tougher than ever....but I didn't have to pick up a posthumous diploma for a deceased child-- all in all, I got it good. Perspective is a wonderful thing.

April-- chocolate coated, chocolate inside-- plus I had a brownie-- and some doritos-- did wayyy too much nibbling last night, and didn't run. But, I enjoyed every bite, and will run today.

I took my blood pressure medicine last night before bed. My eyes are poking out between puffy bags of blech, so I have little choice. Fudgesicles-- :grumble:

RUN, ANDREW, RUN-- and happy Father's Day, my friend--

And last-- hey guys-- Andrew's mother, Sandra, is my new friend on Facebook. She's a hoot, just like Batman-- sweet lady.

    Have a great day--

    Way to go Andrew!!!

So I am back from my bike ride! It was hot but it felt dry. So it wasn't so bad. Parts of the trail felt hotter then other parts but I made sure I brought a bottle of water and a bottle of what M likes to call aggergrade(gaterade)!  Rode my little heart out 16 miles in 90 minutes. I passed a family walking 3 times!

Then I bummed myself out and stepped on the scale when I got home and it was the same weight as it was when I left.:grumble: :grumble: I know that my muscles need to relax but I burned at least 1226 calories!

I lowered my calorie intake to lose 1.5 pounds a week since I am burning all these calories I haven't been able to come close to eating even half of them so we shall see what that does to my body!

Gonna go watch frosty the snowman with M!! Yes I know weird!but she wouldn't watch anything else!

honey come here............a bit closer......WHACK upside the head!!!!!!!

You have got to know that you retain fluid when you work out like that. Like when I walk, my wedding rings get super tight and if my shows leave marks if I work out more than 20 minutes. Your muscles swell up, just like when you hurt something........because you are tearing muscle.

I hope I explained well...........I am not good with the medical stuff.

I bet if you weigh tomorrow morning you will be down a pound!!

Man, I still cant believe you rode 90 in this heat. I walked 35 and was dripping buckets when I got back home!!

Andrew - Happy Father's Day! And way to go on the 5K! P.S. Your boys are adorable!

Congrats to all you crazy-calorie-burning people! Sometimes I get tired just reading the thread!

Dave is changing my oil now and then we're going to Wal*Mart to look at bikes. He said they have a purple one. I've been reading about all you "bikers" and I really want to ride. I haven't ridden a bike in probably 15 years.

Harley didn't sleep well last night. She woke up at least every half hour and she was warm. She got warmer as the night went on until at 3:30am she was at 104. I know 101 is normal but I didn't know how high is dangerously high so I called the emergency doctor call line and he said give her baby Tylenol and fluids. We had her sleep with us the rest of the night and today she's been between 99 and 101.

Happy Father's Day and Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all are having a great day. We slept in this morning and went to get our daughter and we all spent the early part of the evening cutting limbs and weeding the flower beds. In 2 hours I burned 582 calories weeding them. After supper I am going to get my walk in. I'm hoping it cools down some. I have been resting for about an hour and my shirt still hasn't dried yet! It is so hot and humid out there and not too sure what the actual temperature is. I will catch you all later!

    Andrew-Congrats on your 5K!!

Lori-I hope you find a bike that you like. Do you know I just realized that the bike I picked out for myself that I have had for a few years is a man's bike? But it's a nice one anyway!

Lori-It's awesome that you hit your 5000 calories burned mark! Congrats to you girl! You are my hero! I set mine up for like 3 20 minutes sessions a week which isn't very many calories and I have been blowing them away but nothing like how you have done! Great job lady!

Yeah right the last time I went with out my scale I gained 2 pounds! I am learning that what the scale says is only important on wednesdays!

I have ate 426 of my exercise calories and I am eating dessert so yeah I think I might be ok. Dinner was a bit much but it was good and we used a pepper from M's garden. She has a pepper and 2 cucumbers and 2 cantaloupes! I'm so proud of her.

Sam-way to go on your bike ride! That is soooo totally awesome!! There's no wonder you are looking so great! You are a great team leader and I think you are doing great without your scale! Way to go girl!

April-Everyone on our team is so amazing and I love how they keep everyone's motivation up and going. It's also great that you have done so well without Donuts. I love Krispy Kreme's glazed donuts and sometimes the white powdered donuts but I do try to stay away from them myself. I think they are the devil!

Have a great evening ya'll! I gotta clean up the kitchen since supper is over and get my butt outside and walk walk walk!!!!!

Quick check in, guys. Still feeling very cruddy. Didn't work out at all this weekend, and I had given myself permission to eat all I wanted. However, not feeling well so that didn't happen.

Andrew, so proud of you. You look great. The boys are adorable, you two made perty babies!

Lori, you are a machine! Sam, you too.

April, thanks for coming out today --sorry I was a lousy hostess.
