I have an MFP friend, who we'll call Kort, that is getting married soon. Where we don't have a video camera to go around and ask everyone for unsolicited marriage advice, I've created this thread for her.

Kids change EVERYTHING! Accept it.....
Don't forget to catch up every once in a while. Sit down an have a meal together at least twice a week. You will be surprised on how fast life takes over.
Be honest with each other about EVERYTHING (especially money matters). But even then the answer to "Do I look fat in these jeans" is always NO.0 -

Open, honest, rational communication about expectations, boundaries, etc from the very beginning (before marriage). Don't bury things, but don't explode about them either. You have to have open communication lines at all times.0

Have couple time that isn't at night. Like always catching up on TV on Saturday morning, or taking a walk in the mornings before your crazy days!0
