Feel free to comment and even criticize this if you feel you need to, I'm a big boy, I can take it

OK, then take this: I  your post! I need a kick in a butt, I sure hope this was it. Or maybe all I needed was to be reminded that it is doable, and that *I* can do it, too  .

    Would you "bump" me?

    I'd "bump" me!

Quick, what movie did I base this quote on. (hint, character's alias was buffalo bill).

This will be...ahh... a tad long, so, sorry for that at the outset.

To summarize, first you have to:

learn how to eat correctly for YOU.

Kick the carbohydrate habit (that doesn't mean eliminate carbs, it means making GOOD carb choices).

AND FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, do your homework!

You wouldn't walk into a used car lot and buy the first one you see that you like, the same goes for your body, do your research, find out what's right for you, and damn it, work HARD!

Only you know what hard work is,

forget the starvation and expecting 3 lbs per week weight loss!

Don't be foolish, take a long, hard look at your eating habits, and use your head, think about it. Start simple people, learn about serving sizes, healthy grains, macronutrients, and micronutrients, then go from there.

My dear, it is always long, and always well worth the read! Thanks again. I spaced it out so I can print it.

Steve, the statistics show that 50 % of vehicle sales are made on the sticker price, no negotiating at all. As Americans, we have been raised to accept what we are told and not be rude. Negotiating is not for the faint of heart, I should know I do it every day.

We want the easy way out. We all want a pill, or to copy someone's diary and not have to do the work.

Suzanne Somers does NOT look like that from squeezing that thing between her legs and applying her famous cream to her face, she eats very well and exercises every day (OH and then there is the face lift:wink: ) (BTW I almost bought some ab circle thing at 3 am, so I am not immune!)

I have decided I have one body to work with, and I want it to work at optimal capacity. I eat a brownie every now and then, but I find I crave a salad or nice lean cut of meat much much more.

We all have different goals and need to think it through for ourselves. Take the info we get and use it.

Good luck to everyone..............my 2nd family on MFP!!
