Ok so on the Douglas Adams front did you read the Dirk Gently books and the meaning of Liff? What about the audio series of HHGTG? Lets test your credentials?

I OWN the audio of the Long Dark Tea time of the Soul and ALL of the HHGTG (Dirk Maggs is a Genius !)

    <~~~~

Seriously people, I write science fiction/fantasy, have a library of scifi/fantasy books that requires multiple trips to the moving truck to transport, forge knives and swords (yes, with a hammer, anvil, and fire), have had a max level end game raid geared toon in in four major MMORPG's pretty much continuously since 1999, in one of which I carried top ranger on the server title for four years.

I build my own computers, am a whiz at photoshop, poser, 3ds max, and know what to do to keep things running straight, even when Windows doesn't.

It doesn't get nerdier than that.

    Knives?!?!

    Yes Miss.

This I've been carrying every day for years.

I don't carry this one, but I'd love to get a thigh strap to hook it onto. It's pretty heavy though, it would probably slip down my leg. I wore it to a renaissance fair. I'd love to go again. Happy sigh.

I have a smaller one that i carried when I was out alone, but have gotten out of the habit.

I haven't read thru this at all, but it was a no brainier for me: Sarahbara76 :flowerforyou:

Thanks BAM!! :blushing: FOR YOU :smooched:

I read comics daily, dress in costume (wonder woman/super girl/ and this Halloween Laura Croft) I collect action figures and stamps and I watch anime , I also can discuss physics for hours. I dress in Renaissance clothes every year and attend the local fair every time it's around usually in full gear. I attend comic conventions as well.

As for the hotness I will let you be the judge ..thanks sweet BAM

Tom Baker was the Doctor of my generation.

The best doctor, my generation too - and I have a signed book by him called the boy who kicked pigs. My daughter met him once in a supermarket but doesn't remember it now, even though he carried, yes carried his shopping trolley!!!! Shame on her, she was nearly adopted for forgetting that, and my wife was nearly divorced for not getting his autograph!

I'm a sci fi/fantasy geek. GRRM, Orson Scott Card, Terry Pratchett, Niels Gaiman and Stephenson.... There's a lot of good books out there, and good television.
Any your avatar is an Adipose creature for Dr. Who...awesome

Someone mentioned a lack of a cow level on D3...say it ain't so, please? The cow level was the best part of D2

Oh, and anyone that wants a cheap Diablo fix should try torchlight on steam. And torchlight 2.

Anyone in the Seattle area into PnP? Don't care what game, but my d20 is feeling neglected. And neglected dice never roll well

    -I don't read literature, I read textbooks
-I tutor people in Calculus for free because it's fun
-I don't play computer games because I am too busy trying to apply systems of differential equations in uncommon areas
-I like to put gummy bears in my peanut butter sandwiches
-my past teachers assign me reading and homework problems even though the classes are over

    Ohhhh my type of thread!

Right before I joined MPF, I was running one of the worlds largest gaming clans. (about 6 years) If you play Source games, you likely played on one of my =(eGO)= servers.

I just retired since I was pretty much neglecting my family running the it. http://www.edge-gamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=205806

Ran around 50 servers around the world running DOD, CSS, TF2, BF, COD, RO, BC2, Minecraft, ect...

My computer is a overclocked AMD, water cooled, dual video card, solid state drives, and 16 gigs ram.

Who else is into PC gaming?

I love a guy with a big, huge, gigantic brain!

oh no is this going to lapse into a "mines bigger than yours" argument

Hot damn, pick a topic and let me know the time and place so I could watch that argument. Fingers crossed that it's classic literature. SEXY!

anyone for the "is batman a TRUE superhero" discussion ?

He's a super rich guy in a super cool expensive suit that does some amazing heroic things, but a superhero he is not. You need to have at least one superpower to be a superhero in my book.

    Super intellect! World's Greatest Detective.
  • I can recite every word to Weird Al Yankovic's White and Nerdy.....
