Lose 5 Pounds in June Challenge

            As seems to be my pattern the past few months, I gain a pound or so in the first week and then fight to get that off and miss the 5lb target. Started off the same this month, so it's a bit tricky to hit the 5lb target but I'm going to try my best, 12 days to get more off.
 1/6 = 175.0
 11/6 = 176.0 (+1)
 17/6 = 174.4 (1.6)
 So far a net loss of 0.6 lbs !!!
 @Frannybobs, a loss is a loss! Always better to be down than up! We know how easily that weight can creep up on us so to me the most important this is that we stay motivated and we always keep the loss/gain in our control!!!! I know you are not where you wanted to be right now but the main thing is you haven't given up (even when it was tough going) and you are making changes for the better each day - in the long run this is going to work in your favor!
 @dis5150 & @wellbur : Well done on your loss (not just this week but for the last while) - you are so close to your goal and your ultimate goal! I cannot wait until the day I am as close to mine as you are to yours!!! I have 9lbs to go to get to my initial goal and then another 10lbs - 14lbs (depending on how I look/feel) - seems so far away but I know I will get there some day.
 @Norsegodess, make this a good week and the last week will be forgotten about and the last week will be forgotten about 
 @JNJN25, You are doing so well and so close to the target for this month. Well done ... keep up the good work.

 6/4: 136.4 lost a lot in one week but that is partly due to being sick.
 6/11 140.0 Had a very tough week but it's my fault, I ate whatever I wanted and didn't stick to it at all. Can anyone give me advice on staying on target when you get to a low amount of weight because every time I get to a good weight which makes me happy i cheat really bad.

 06/18: 187 I have gone running every day since May 31...maybe I am not eating enough as I struggle with my busy schedule to get 1200 calories a day. We will see next week

 I wish today was my weigh in day. It would be an AWESOME number. But I have to wait until Friday. My challenge will be to maintain over the next 4 days.

 Belle, so proud of you! I wish I could be more like you! I think I have gained 2 pounds instead of losing! Ugh. I need to get back to exercising, and I need more sleep. So tired that I've been making bad food decisions.0

            Really we are the same weight now? We are also the same height and work in the same area - we are practically twins!!!! Is your goal weight the same as mine?
 My weight loss has slowed down this last month so I think every loss from now on is going to be hard fought!!! I am no longer going to aim to loss 5lbs a month - I think that would be unrealistic so I am going to focus on smaller monthly goals from now on. I set it to 3lbs for this month and will probably only aim for 2lbs next month! I figure if the goals are smaller and I am still achieving them that it will keep me more focused!
 I know if it going to take me longer to get to my goal weight doing it this way but I set a target weight of 135lbs by the end of the year - so I am still on track! We will get there. It may take time but we will get there.
 Belle, just saw this now... We do have the same initial goal - to get to "normal" BMI. I was doing really well for about a month, but now am feeling a bit discouraged. I am normally doing ok during the day, but then evening hits, and I go a bit crazy.0

 This 5# would put me at my first personal goal! I also do what another post said, weigh a couple times a week to make sure i did ok with sodium intake and such the prior day, I adjust my day accordingly after.
 I'm setting small goals for myself in hopes that it keeps me motivated.

 HUGE NSV!!! I checked my BMI and I am no longer Obese - I'm OVERWEIGHT!!! Can't tell you all how very many years that has been since I saw this weight!
 My 4th half marathon went amazingly well on June 2(the first one where I will weigh under 200 pounds) where I shaved 14 minutes off my PB (personal best). What a difference 30 pounds makes!
 After so long without scale movement it is hard to believe!
 I haven't weighed this low in over 15 years!
 I just might make it this month!!!
