I've been told - by one person - that my tattoo is very tasteful and pretty. But also the same comment of "Why would you do that to your body?"

But only she has told me that, besides that people just tell me how nice my tattoo is. If think think I'm ugly, I think it'd have to do more with my face and body than my ink.

I don't have any tats. I just haven't found anything I like yet to put on my body for the rest of my life. Key word yet. I think tats can be sexy and beautiful but they can also take away from a persons appearance. It's like a lot of things in life. It's got to be something meaningful to you and always in taste. If it's something you would ever hide from anyone for any reason then it might not be a good idea. I have dated women with tats and without. It doesn't really matter to me as long as they don't take away from your beauty.

Lol I wish the Seabees fixed our crap when I was over in Iraq. Most of the time we were escorting them around haditha and the rest of Al Anbar. Tattoos will eventually no longer be a thing of debate just like body piercings. I think the stigma is from previous generations where it was not common esp for women and will disappear over time. There is nothin wrong with having any tattoos .
  • Nice ink ladies! I love tattoos and learning the stories behind them! People tell us they'll look like crap when we're 60, but so will everything else, at least we'll be a cool grandma! If I had enough money I'd be covered in 'em.

I don't have the greatest pictures of mine, I'll edit & upload more later.

My first tattoo was Toad & Kirby done on the one year anniversary of the last time I saw my brother, he moved back to our Dad's in Australia. We were always on the nintendo lol.

Treble clef with wings & bass heart designs on my hands. My late aunty was a piano teacher, & I study music too. I was having a dorky moment on photobooth..

Skull I designed when I was younger. Got it done 4 years later. Meant to represent that we're all the same underneath, and the crown (our personality) is what makes us who we are. If you look carefully you can see the crown is made of guitars, a fleur de lis, & paper planes. Asked him to make it less scary as my mum wasn't happy I was getting a skull, so he gave it eyelashes

Forearm tattoo. Initially meant to be a skull & bullet with butterfly wings under it. However, the guy that did the skull quit working at the shop a week later when I went back, so it was finished by this *kitten* who messed it up horribly. Went to another guy who added 'Perfectly Flawed' under it & was meant to correct the rest, but he ran out of time. Waiting to save up more money so I can get it fixed

Pelvic one says 'Respect', just got out of a bad relationship & made a vow to never be treated like that again. It's just below my knicker line and hasn't been seen in person by a man since I got it, hah.

To each their own, whether or not someone thinks it looks sexy or not - but to call someone ugly because of it is pretty rude.

Meh, people are entitled to their opinions. I don't think any of my inlaws like my tattoos and I don't care what they think. I don't know why anyone would be so rude to just come out and call someone ugly for having tats, or even ask why you would do that to yourself.

I have one on my back. I wanted it on my neck, but the tattoo owner said that since this was my first that I might want it someplace that I could hide it in case I end up not liking tattoos. I was 41 and I aM "goody good"...so I understood his point.

So, I got it on my lower back. It is a vine with flowers of my 6 kids' birthstones. I loved it so much, I just went back and had him add to it, and we added more vines and my husband's and my birthstones. I still want one on the back of my neck.

No one would know that I have one unless they saw me in my bikini. I am sure that some locals would be surprised because I do look like a sweet girl!!

My parents like the tattoo and my mom just got her first. But my in-laws!!! Only hoodlums get tattoos! My husband now has two tattoos and I have one. They would not have known about mine until I bent over and he could see a piece of it!!! hahaha! Oh well!

I have one on each of my arms. My right arm is eventually going to be a sleeve. Some people express there art with paintings we express ours with our tatts.

I will stick to donating blood every 6 weeks I guess.
The place I donate through will allow you to donate with a tattoo as long as it was done in a certified shop in the state (They have a whole list of the ones in our state) and it has to be completely healed. If they see any peeling or scabbing they will have you wait a few more weeks. Its worth a look into it if you do ever get inked!

Anyway, I have three. The first was just something I had seen and it stuck with me for years so when I finally had the money I got it done
    tatoo.jpg

The second is a Celtic tree of life. It is for my Irish heritage
    IMG_0182.jpg

The third is for my Mexican heritage. I get a lot of comments on it and have to explain it a lot but I didn't want just a sugar skull so I went with something a little more

My planets STILL aren't finished. I have another session tomorrow - getting the rest of the stars done, some more detail, and fixing up Uranus.

    WORST. PAIN. EVER.

I love it, though. The tattoo, I mean, not the pain.

(it looks better now, it was dull then because it was still healing)

I love my tattoos. I get negative attention for them all the time, especially for my thigh since it has a skull on it. I get 'You're a girl, why would you get something like that?!' I laugh at them for being so small-minded.
I currently have a good portion of my body covered and plan on continuing.

I love a woman with tattoos.
