I'm supposed to wait until I get inside the locker room before I get naked? I finally understand all the strange looks from the people on the treadmills :blushing:

To all you who have issues with naked bodies i take it you don't have mirrors in your house or get naked with the lights on but go into a dark windowless room to do it. And i take it you've never had any sexual activities under the cloths. Come on people… really….. are you also the people who complain when mothers breast feed their babies in public or when a plumber bends over and you see their *kitten* crack?

I think you all were a bit too harsh on her. She deactivated her account!

I don't enjoy it, but I just mind my own business- do what I need to and get the hell out.

Now what I DIDN'T like was when this woman would walk around stark naked and chit chat with everyone that walked in like she forgot she was naked. She even started it up with me once as she sat on the bench next to me STRETCHING, completely naked....talking about her kids and stuff!!! That was disturbing. I was traumatized.

Its completely normal, i at first was uncomfortable about it when i first started going to a gym but its no biggie now. I just turn away and do my own thing.

One time I went in the locker room after my workout and there were women just laying around on the benches--naked.
I'm no prude and realize it's a locker room where people will be naked, and could care less, just wasn't expecting naked naptime...

haha good thing you don't live here in Denmark. In order to go into the pool you have to bathe naked without a swimsuit in an open shower with a bunch of other women and girls or all ages, shapes and sizes. I think Americans are too hung up with their bodies. It is part of our culture. I was raised like that and wish I could let go without feeling so uncomfortable. What is the big deal anyway if you think about it??

Wait...what? I thought that was what the locker rooms were for? Thats why they separate the men and the women.

I'm used to seeing ladies walking around naked at the locker room. The one awkward moment I had with a naked lady was when I was bending down to tie my shoes when this fully naked lady decided to come right up to my bench and lift one of her legs and placed it on the bench to dry her body. Come on now, my face was less than a foot away from her hoo-ha and that was so awkward.

:noway: ok so i am new to this gym and i went to the restroom/ locker i was washing my face and when i look up all i saw was this women take all of her clothes of right in front of me and i honestly didn't know how to react,
React? You look up, think "that's a woman about to have a shower" and get on with your day.

It's a woman who is sweaty because she's worked out, that's what happens in gyms, right? She happens to not be wearing any clothes, what's the big deal?

Were you scared that she'd squoosh her breasts into your face or something?

It's bizarre, the things that freak some women out!

Wait, so I'm supposed to (in a very uncomfortable way) change in the bathroom or shower stall just because you're not confortable with nudity? I'm sorry If i come across as harsh, but I thought the whole "disturbed and traumatized" comment was rude and extreme. The woman wasn't bothering you or trying to talk to you. She was just changing. It was just a naked body, we are all human. I know its shocking to see another naked body, but it is in no way offensive. If you dont like it just look away.

Its kind of awkward but its no biggie, in our locker room theres only two private changing rooms so its impossible not to.

Presumably in America, people are expected to take a separate set of clothes to the gym to wear into the shower.

Frankly, that is the worst kind of stupid, - how the hell are you meant to get your genitals clean if you shower while wearing clothes or a swimsuit, YUK!

Thank *kitten* I'm European and not utterly freaked out at the sight of a naked body (that isn't in a porn film!)

Thank you for your sweeping assumptions about Americans.

American here. I've never seen anyone shower in clothing in the gym showers. Most of us do not freak out about naked people in the locker rooms either.

I've never heard of, or seen this here..I have no idea what you're talking about :)

I do wear my swimsuit INTO the shower..where I take it off. But I go SWIMMING first :P

I use to work at a gym, it is acceptable for someone to be naked for a brief moment to get dressed or changed. But it is actually against gym policies to just openly undress like that or to make someone uncomfortable while you are changing. If it happens again complain.

I personally don't get nude in the gym, let alone the light itself. :/ But I've seen it and it's no big deal. If anything, it's cool that people are brave and confident.
