What food do you believe to be THE superfood?

I don't believe in having one food to get me the largest number of nutrients. I'm trying to avoid eating the same food every day. I should have something new every day. That would be my "super diet."0

apples, blueberries, no-fat greek yogurt, whole fresh local eggs, broccoli (rabe, too), cauliflower, kale,sweet potatoes, homemade toasted oat granola, olive oil, avacados, almonds, salmon, skinless lean chicken breast, Laura's Lean Beef, Asparagus and fat-free milk/ half & half -- these are my "go-to" super foods. I love that when I go to my mfp journal and click on ALL MEALS, most used, these are what comes up!0

There is nothing super about egg whites.
The whole egg is natures perfect food though, but when you take out the yolk the perfectness goes a long way away...........0 -

Mine is avocado - I literally eat it every day! I even asked for it to be added to a salad when I went out to eat the other night. Once a week I mash up half and put it on my face as a mask - it makes my skin feel super smooth and clear. It is delicious with hot chicken and fish and great on toast! It's full of fibre, healthy fats and vitamins - I'm a complete addict!0

I don't think anything is THE superfood, but I'd also go with beans because there is such a variety and they are so versatile.
I am changing my vote from just beans, to hummus. OMG I love hummus. My co-workers make fun of me because i sometimes eat it with a spoon. Carbs, fat and protein. I think it might just be THE superfood.0 -
